This is how a company should be! Wow! This company has the…read moreright name, because they really care! I called to get a estimate for my back door. It was more than just the door but the over hang as well. It had fell down and squirrels had made a home :( The gentleman that took the call gave the information to Jim. He is the father and the owner of the company. Jim called and set up a time to come look at the job. When he showed up, he felt like family. Coming in through the back of the house he looked at the work I wanted done. He sat down in my basement and told us what they would do, took pictures of the damage and dictated everything into a recorder about the whole process. We gave him a small deposit toward the job. He gave me a receipt. What I liked about Jim is he let me know what I needed and didn't need and was very upfront about the price. This company never stood us up. Came on time, did a great job. The door is beautiful as well. They even framed out and put up my old wrought iron screen door. They were even thoughtful enough to measure the peep hole to my height (I'm the shorty in the family). We also decided to let We Care do our roof. One of Jim's sons came out and video taped the roof. We looked at the tape and Jim went over the damage with us and gave us our options. WOW! It was nice to see the roof without climbing a ladder LOL! We decided on a 2 coat white Elastomeric Silicone roof because it helps keep the house cooler in the summer. They even treated the skylight. After it was all done they came back to my home and showed us the video of the completed roof and mailed us a copy of video. We Care is not the cheapest company I've come across. but they do quality work, respectful of your time, do follow up calls to make sure you are happy with their work and respectful of your property. Cosello Construction completely gutted and redid our master bathroom and created a large deck for…read moreus. So this was a transformation from a linoleum-floored, wall-papered, shower door-hanging-off bathroom to a marble-tiled, vessel-sinked, rainfall shower bathroom and a transformation from a small six foot landing where the railing was falling off to a spacious trex deck big enough to accommodate a grill, six seat table, and lounging chair. Everything came out beautifully with our transformations and none of the typical "hiccups" you hear about or read about. And I felt that in every instance, if there was a choice between Cosello making an extra buck or making my wife and I happy or putting that extra finishing detail on so something looked perfect, Cosello Construction and its entire team always chose making us happy and putting that extra finishing detail on over making the extra buck. Andrew and everyone who worked for Cosello Construction during our project were extremely friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. This started at the beginning of the project and continued throughout. For example, at the start of the project, we were thinking we wanted a separate shower, bathtub, and double vanity in our bathroom. We were pretty set on it at first but Andrew went with us to measure how everything would look in the bathroom and spent a lot of time discussing with us what we wanted and how we would use the bathroom on a daily basis. He made the recommendation of an oversized tub/shower combination with tiling on the walls and tub apron as well as a linen closet, which would solve our need for additional storage space for towels. He was completely right! We got the look of an all tile shower with the convenience of a bathtub and hand shower attachment. We love showering and bathing with our rainfall shower head and regular/handheld shower head combination now. Andrew was also able to recommend quality dealers of tiles and bath materials which was key for me because we wanted our general contractor to be a resource as a one stop solution not be out on our own. Andrew and his team were also very flexible. For instance, we had picked out a color for our bathroom. After a wall was done, we weren't so sure any more. Andrew's painter, even knowing we might ultimately change the color, causing more work, proposed to paint another wall so we could see more of it done before we made our final decision. It worked and once we saw the bigger section painted, we knew we had made the right choice after all. But at no point did anyone make us feel bad for the fact we might change the paint color. Another instance of this was with our deck. For most of the time, we had told Andrew we just wanted to replace landing-size "deck." After going back and forth in our family we decided to go with a true, big deck. Poor Andrew because we must have flip-flopped on the decision three or four times, telling him one thing then the other. He never made it seem like an issue or annoying to him. Once we made the true final decision, he got right to work on all of the things that needed to be done for a bigger deck, such as different permits and an architectural drawing, and yet he was still ale to install the deck before we had our son's first birthday party at home. This was great since the delay had been all ours in deciding what we wanted, and everyone loved the deck and commented on how great it was at the party. Two things that are probably underrated or not as well appreciated when selecting a contractor are how responsive they are and how clear workers leave the work site. We had a fabulous experience on both from Cosello Construction. Andrew responded to phone calls and emails right away, as did members of the team we worked with, and from the estimate phase through completion, they were always there when we needed them, to provide updates, and answer questions. Andrew spent a significant amount of time on the phone with our tile and supplies providers to make sure the orders were right before they were delivered. With regard to cleanliness, it is something you really never tend to think about unless it is not done or you hear a horror story about what happened to someone else. The highest praise I can give to Cosello Construction is that we never once though about the cleanliness of our house or yard. Every day the team laid a drop cloth on the stairs and areas of passage to our bathroom to stop any stray foot prints, kept dirt and dust confined the construction area, and by the time they left everything was as if they had never been there. Even during construction, we were able to walk into the areas without issue because they kept such a clean place of work. I showed up on time for the appointment and waited outside for about two hours -- no one ever came out, called, or answered. Even the owner, who introduced himself as Andrew, never showed up or reached out to apologize or reschedule. This kind of unprofessional behavior and lack of respect for people's time says a lot about how the company operates. I would strongly recommend others to be cautious before applying or working with Costello Construction, as my experience suggests they are not as serious or reliable as they appear.

I didn't have to wait days/weeks for someone to come out to measure and "sell" me a door. The communication with Mak and the installer, John, was easy. The installer arrived on time and went out of his way to resolve some obstacles my house presented. Quality was important for me as this oversize door is opened/closed many times throughout the day (let the dogs out, let the dogs in: repeat).
