We had a great experience here! Lots of fresh ingredients to choose from, and a really good variety of broths. Everything was super clean and well-organized -- you can tell they care about the details. Service was quick and friendly too. Definitely coming back!

Started off birthday celebrations at Galaxy Hot Pot and Sushi! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I love their hot pot menu! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. I love their Chinese Herbal Broth! Highly recommend that one! If you are vegetarian, they have a huge selection of veggies for you at the self serve bar and a selection of sushi rolls as well. Our waitress was very attentive and kept our orders coming. Ordered basic sushi to try and it was good too! This is a fun place to eat at with a group of friends! Highly recommend for a fun dining experience!

An ample selection of food from the bar, sushi menu, and regular menu. There was also draft beer, soju, cocktails, soda, and more! Our drinks came first and even before all members ordered their broths, the kitchen came out with the pots of broth as we were ordering! Wow! One waitress in particular had exceptional service! She was attentive, patient, knowledgeable, and eager to serve! Super energetic that made our meal exceptional. If you have never been to this restaurant, go and try it- in my opinion, this place not your typical hotpot joint. - the custom and made-to-order sushi were super fresh, along with dumplings and egg rolls that were sprinkled in the menu. There was limited dessert as Boba tea was an extra cost. No matter, there were some fruit, and some cello with some sweet cakes- besides, I was super full to eat more. Pace yourself, this place is hopping with a two hour dining limit - not enforced but be aware. There was also signs of additional charge if food ordered were not finished from plates like the sushi- so be aware. Overall, super fun experience, good time with friends, tasty food! Would go again. One other surprise- when it is someone's birthday, a fun song comes over the intercom and more- check out the video!

When we arrived, we stood at the host desk for a good while before anyone said hi nor acknowledged us. It seems like they were short staffed, but it really felt unwelcoming. We had to get their attention to ask to be seated since there was a sign to "wait to be seated." The restaurant wasn't busy and there were only a few other tables at the restaurant. Once we sat down, I appreciated the efforts that the waitress made to explain the dining experience to my friends who haven't been there before. The veggie, sauce, dessert bar seemed fresh. From the kitchen, the portions come out very small. 1 order of fish balls is just 3 balls lol. So, be prepared to order multiple orders of the same thing. They have a limited item selection for lunch for a cheaper price. Overall, food was alright. The restaurant seemed cold and not inviting. I'm sad to see it change since the last time I came.

Second visit on 11/14/24! Decided to eat at this restaurant again after the Navy Boot Camp Graduation!! Food tasted even better the second time around, from the day before. Enjoyed eating the Tom Yum Soup bases with Ramen noodles, rice noodles, fried dumplings, broccoli, French fries, beef brisket, pork, ham, California Rolls, Crab Rolls, and Boba drinks! Received excellent service once again! Truly enjoyed our dine-in experience as the food items were delicious! Definitely satisfied with the choices of food at this business establishment.

Fun and good food. Everything came out fast and fresh. They have a veggies, sauce, and dessert section where you can make your own sauce and choose veggies for your broth. This would be fun for a group. Server was attentive and helpful. I wish they did half orders of sushi so you could get a lot more. Each order was 8 pieces and more than enough.

Fantastic! Fantastic! Fantastic! I went with my parents for lunch and it was an unlimited supply of sushi and hotpot for a decent price. The interior of the place was open and bright. It was also very clean with a simple set up which I also appreciated. Our waiter, J.C was awesome. She was kind and very thorough when explaining to me how everything worked. My family has been there numerous times before so they were pros on what to do and how to do it. They were very helpful too. My family and I ended up ordering hot pot and sushi. My dad and I are hot and spicy lovers so the Tom yum broth was right up our alley. My mom, I believe ended up ordering the mushroom broth which she loved. You then pick from what seemed like an endless amount of toppings ranging from jumbo shrimp, quail eggs, tteokbokki, tofu and many others. THEN! You can go to this buffet of veggies that you can add to your broth so you can pick up from toppings like nappa cabbage, lotus root and then they have various noodles you can add as well like ramen and udon. Each table has a table top burner which then they put your requested pot of broth on and when boiling, you can add your toppings. I legit was in food heaven so besides the broth, I wish I could post everything else I added but I honestly can't remember. Overall, everything was super super yummy. Everything was fresh and the broth was to die for. J.C kept to her rounds and continued to fill up our broth as needed so we could keep ordering what we wanted and filling our bowls (and stomach). As I had discussed earlier, we did order sushi and I can't remember the names of each roll we ordered but I do remember the galaxy roll and that alongside everything else was fantastic. Freshly rolled with crunchy and succulent ingredients, I couldn't ask for more. I definitely would come back here, preferably for lunch over dinner and I would encourage you to do so too. Enjoy with your eyes and your tummies and well, you can thank me later. Bon Appétit!

I love a good hotpot, but I really don't recommend coming here with a large party. We booked reservations a month in advance and when we checked the week of, they didn't have it booked. Thankfully we were able to book them again. We were seated in the very back at a shared table and it was hard to get in and out for toppings. I would expect a private table for a birthday party booked well in advance. Everyone ordered their proteins, sushi, and sides off the menu. When it was brought to the table, it was put down anywhere with no description so we struggled to figure out who got what. It was very chaotic. Once we were settling with our toppings, it was delicious. All the staff were incredibly kind. I would love to come back with a smaller group of 4 or less.

All you can eat sushi and hot pot. This place is amazing. The service is fast and friendly. They have several broths to choose from ranging from not spicy to spicy. Tons of meat and fish options. You can order off the dinner only menu at lunch you will just have to pay dinner price. They have nice veggie , noodle and sauce buffet to pick out extra ingredients for your hot pot. There is a $10 charge for over ordering and not eating meat/seafood that was requested. Sushi is fine and fresh. If you enjoy sushi and hot pot you would not be disappointed. This place is similar to hibachi where the table is the cooking area. The place is moderately loud and good for groups. This is not a place to get super romantic but great for a 1st date, families and just a nice easy evening out.

Free milk tea with check in!

So for clarification, I should say that this is the only place I've had Hotpot. That said I can't compare it to a similar place but I can say that this is a fantastic meal and an enjoyable experience! The first thing to note is you can get a free milk tea with a yelp check in! It was very tasty so don't miss out. The ambiance is nice enough and the table set up is smart. You get 1 broth per person but can order extras if you want. I've tried all the base flavors here and for me the original is the best. It imparts just the right spice and flavor into your food! This was a lunch visit, which is cheaper but comes with less options to choose from. A good middle ground. I do love the beef tongue from the dinner menu though. After placing an order for some beef belly and lamb, as well as some fried gyoza, we headed to the salad bar to get our veggies and some noodles. I like the sauce bar, it can be fun to customize, but we're on the clock and I don't always want to spend time here. Some pre-made sauce mixes could be a nice addition. When you do make your sauce, I like the pungent garlic and soy mix. Our meats came out quickly and we started preparing our food. Be warned, this can get messy. There will be splashing! Everything is great here and I found the service to be pretty attentive and quick. This was another great visit here! Again, I can't compare, but this seems like a top notch experience to me. Highly recommended!

I first went to Galaxy Hotpot and Sushi as part of a Yelp event and was so impressed that I knew I had to come back. I came back with my husband and two friends and I was not disappointed. We came during lunch hours on a Thursday. The lunch menu includes all of the basic meats and sushi rolls that we wanted. If you want the premium meats and sushi rolls, you need to come during dinner hours. The lunch menu is a great value. The restaurant was not busy and the service was great. Our soups and meats were out to the table within two minutes of ordering. The food was all fresh and tasty. The veggie and extra bar was fully stocked. I will not hesitate to come back again and bring more people to share the experience. I highly recommend Galaxy Hotpot and Sushi!

The broth
Charlie F.

The broth had so many options to pick from, we got the Mushroom, Chinese Herbal, and the 2nd level of spice they have (They have 3 level of spice for broth) called Thia Tom Yum. And they have many options for meat. The service was fast with everything and there was a self serve area. The ambiance was space themed, you can tell by the name.

In this area of the suburbs, hot pot is somewhat difficult to find so I am glad that Galaxy Hotpot offers delicious food at a reasonable price, with the addition of sushi as well. Though there used to be an option to do AYCE sushi or hotpot, or both for an upcharge -- I'm glad that they raised the price slightly but include sushi standard in the AYCE. This is better than any appetizers that you'll find at an AYCE and the fish to rice ratio is super reasonable. Parking here isn't super difficult most of the time as this area normally isn't crazy busy. Service was exceptional during my last lunch meal -- with plates cleared quickly, hot items / sushi served quickly, a cart full of raw ingredients circling by normally, and the waitress explaining different aspects of the meal throughout the experience. For hotpot, there is a buffet of different vegetable options to choose from as well as shrimp balls. The veggies were quite fresh and there was a good variety of different leafy vegetables, root vegetables, noodles, and mushrooms. Unlike some other hot pot spots, you can grab these without having to ask the wait staff to bring these out. The number of hot appetizers available is a bit limited compared to spots like Happy Lamb, but the sushi option more than makes up for this. I did like the setup with lots of different soup base options and individual pots per person so we didn't need to crowd food inside each individual pot for sharing. The meat quality was pretty good and I liked how these were brought out in smaller portions to make it easy to try a variety of items (some spots will give enormous amounts of the same meat at once, making it difficult to sample items). I overall enjoyed the different flavors of everything I tried and in particular like the dumpling and meat/seafood options. The spicy broths like Tom Yum and Szechuan are not too spicy -- even for those with a lower spice tolerance. The sushi here is pretty solid, better than average for an all-you-can-eat but not as good as AYCE sushi-only spots like Sushi Grove and Sushi Para. The vegetables in here are fresh and the fish provided is pretty generous. I do find that the rolls could use a bit more sauce to them as the flavor is pretty mild. I do like the frying here though, a bit lighter and crisp than competitors nearby. That makes the deep fried rolls feel a bit healthier and less crunchy, which I prefer. I also like the restraint in the amount of cream cheese used, just enough to add flavor but not too much where it overpowers the roll. With that said, as an add-on to the hot pot experience, the offering is exceptional for what you're paying -- as this is fully plated and prepared like any full price sushi elsewhere. Overall, your best choice for hot pot in the area. The large dining rooms help with giving the dinner a more casual experience and the mix of both hot pot and sushi ensures that a wide variety of cravings will be satisfied.

We've tried both the regular and spicy and all prefer the regular. I've been told it's extra good if you slice up cucumbers and avocado to add to it, but even that requires too much prep for me and it's been tasty enough on it's own. However, since fellow Yelp Elite friend Howard L. recommended BluFish to me, I had mentally put it on my to-try list for a while. Recently, both my husband and I decided to give it a try, and it did live up to the hype! Although the restaurant looked smaller in real life, it was chic and modern looking. We made a reservation for 2 on the same day on a Wednesday, a couple of popular time slots had been filled. When we went at 6:00 pm, the restaurant was bustling. We were promptly led to a 2-person table in the open dining room. My seat had the nice view of the sushi-making station, which was super busy. There was an area with all high-back booths, which seated 4 each. Our area was quite loud, fortunately, my husband and I could still hear each other. Our server, Kassie, was very pleasant, sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. She truly contributed a lot to a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. For appetizer, I was going to order Crab Cakes, but changed my mind after learning that even with the wasabi sauce put on the side, the crab cakes would still be spicy hot. I ordered an order of Takoyai ($9)(six pieces) instead and shared that with my husband. It came out piping hot and was cooked just right, with a light and crispy skin and perfect texture. Just delicious! My husband ordered a Chilean Seabass entrée ($36) which had a generous portion. I was interested in getting some sushi rolls. You can pick long or short. Kassie answered my question that long was about 8 to 10 pieces, while short being 5 to 6 pieces. I ordered one long and one short to get some more variety, understanding that it would be too much food for the two of us. I ordered the long Green Turtle ($18) -- one of my all-time favorites, and a short Smoky Bear ($14). Everything was delicious, even though my husband said that the seabass was slightly overcooked. The ratio of sushi rice to the other ingredients was perfect, and all of that were fresh, tasty and balanced well. I have recommended BluFish to my other family members and relatives. We will definitely be coming back. I would be happy to try more different sushi rolls from their extensive menu.

Miso soup - average, as expected. Miso soup is pretty standard. Veggie tempura - not a lot. Came with 2 onions, 3 sweet potato and half of a mushroom. Usually there's more variety and more veggies included. The tempura was super thin and flaky, it fell right off. Not much flavor. It came with the smallest bit of sauce that was gone in a few dips, not enough for th whole appetizer. GIANT CRAB CRUNCH $18 (Deep fried roll with spicy crab, avocado, smoke salmon, cream cheese served wi wasabi mayo and unagi sauce) - initially the role came without smoked salmon and cream cheese, it was the wrong order. I ate a little before realizing it and when I pointed it out the waitress didn't believe me and acted like I was lying, I was very uncomfortable. She kept telling me it's the giant crab crunch and had me show her each ingredient. She was pointing at rice on the roll and telling me that it was salmon and cream cheese right there, which it absolutely wasn't, she was pointing in nothing. And my roll came with jalapeño accidentally, it wasn't supposed to, and she kept telling me there's jalapeño inside like it's supposed to and that's why she knows my order is correct... which doesn't make sense because the roll didn't come with jalapeño. Honestly the whole thing was just uncomfortable and finally she took it back to the chef and said she will ask him. Chef said it was the incorrect role after all, we were right. Now I dont care it all about the incorrect order, I only care about what felt like abrasiveness and not believing me when I mentioned. Finally they brought us the correct order and it was very soggy and fishy. The smoked salmon inside had a strong potent fishy flavor. Barely any cream cheese. Mostly spicy crab and the whole thing was mushy and totally falling apart. I asked for a side of the wasabi mayo on top since there was barely any and she said it's an extra charge for a small portion. So we politely declined and were surprised. CALIFORNIA SUNSET $19 (Crab meat, cucumber, avocado topped w/ fresh salmon w/ salmon roe served w/ citrus mayo): first of all we asked in it's imitation crab and the answer was yes. It's not real crab, which is very deceiving since the verbiage said "crab meat" but it's not crab meat, it's imitation crab which is usually white fish. Second, we asked for the citrus mayo on the side and it came with none and then they tried to charge us $1 for it. They gave just a teeny tiny bit and when we asked for more we actually did get charged $1 for a tiny little Petri dish of sauce. Quality: veggie and fish quality seemed to be good except for the fishy fish my roll. Would not go back based on this experience.
