I'm going to start this review off with the installers were amazing. They worked hard and were extremely kind and professional.
With that said, the company was disappointing. We chose to go with this company because of their color "Galaxy." When we had the appointment for the quote and color selection, we chose galaxy for our workshop. The person who did our quote and contract said to us that the company was changing the names of their colors and that the galaxy color was renamed. We made the mistake of trusting that the color re-name was written down on the contract correctly. Interstellar was written down as the color Galaxy. We trusted the color option we selected would be correct. Especially since we did not know the color name changes and the name changes are STILL not updated on the website. We also took a photo of the two samples that we chose. But did not have the updated names.
When the installers came they showed us flakes. Not a sample, just the flakes and said that is what they were given based off the original contract. So again, we trusted that those were the correct flakes for the color we chose. And with the name changes, the installers and us had no reason to question the flakes they were given based off the original contract so we signed the paper accepting those flakes. Once they placed the flakes we noticed it was much much lighter than the sample we chose. The installer said it would darken up so we waited. A few hours later, it did slightly darken but not to the color we selected and trusted was written down by the company rep. The installers were extremely understanding and kind and said that the photo we showed them of the sample we picked did not match the flakes they laid down.
They contacted their project manager who then contacted us. The project manager, Dave was unapologetic for the miscommunication and mistake on their end. He said because we signed off on flakes we were shown by the installers, we would either have to pay for the correction or he was going to tell the installers to stop the job. (The garage part was correct so why stop the job completely? It was only the workshop and galaxy color that was written down by the company rep incorrectly) The cost for us to correct the mistake was $5,400 on top of the $18k we had a cashiers check already made for. When we asked the project manager what Galaxy was actually changed to he said, the color Galaxy was one that DID NOT receive a name change. My husband communicated that the name being written down wrong was not on us but because we trusted the flakes we were shown were correct per the original contract, we were responsible for the correction.
Unfortunately I would not recommend this company at least until they update their reps with the proper information and update the website with the correct names. The color interstellar is NOT AN OPTION ON THE WEBSITE.
We understand product and labor isn't free so we paid the cost for the correction. However, the project manager is not someone I would do business with in the future. The lack of accountability for a "trusted" company was disappointing. And our contractor who recommended this company to us will no longer be recommending them to his other clients.
If you choose to go with this company, take a photo of the sample you selected like we did BUT also with the updated name and when the installers get there, show you the flakes and request you to sign off on the flakes they were given, I would recommend showing them the photo you took and have them double and triple verify they are the correct flakes and the correct name. Otherwise the company will not take any accountability to you as the customer and will have you cover the cost of their original mistake.
Again the installers were FANTASTIC. This review is not a reflection of them. Those guys had to work twice as hard for a miscommunication and error on the company's part from the very beginning. The installers did a fantastic job on the install. read more
