B&M was recommended by my real estate agent when I bought a 1956 Tucson bungalow in need of work. The roof was a biggie. I had one month before move-in for major fixes and they finished in three days from start. Their bid came in fast and good, but I didn't realize how professional (and generous) the job was until I primed and coated the new replacement boards. They rebuilt the eaves along the entire west side of the house... and the south! I certainly wasn't expecting that from the lowest bidder. We hired them to completely renovate our roof once the house was officially ours. This included repairs, removing the old swamp cooler and capping the duct with sheet metal and sealing it. They replaced two sky lights, applied 3-course seal, coats of polymembrame, primer, perma coat to entire roofing system. We are very happy with the results and highly recommend B&M to others. Unfortunately, after confirming the work to be done multiple times throughout the process with B&M, they failed to do the work promised. I even confirmed with multiple employees on and off-site during the reroof when it appeared that they were diverging from plans, and they lied to my face. I'm left with a mess and an expense 4X what I was quoted from other reputable Tucson companies to do the work they actually DID. A few days after the work, without ever receiving an invoice, I was told they would be adding a 10% late payment fee. When I reached out to ask why they did not do the work we had agreed to, they sent an employee out to explain that they had carefully crafted the contract to protect them from their empty agreements. Later talking to the owner, Brent, he said the agreements we made don't matter, only the words in the contract, and threatened a lien if I don't pay the remaining balance promptly. My fault for trusting folks that I had heard were good. I wouldn't recommend B&M for the quality of their work, and I would highly advise against working with them due to their business practices. We were very happy. They called us a week before the scheduled work was to start asking if they could start early since they had a cancellation. The estimate was very detailed and included pictures. That was more than a different company provided. I felt the estimate was fair. It was a little higher than one estimate, and a little less than another. Less than 2 weeks later, they came out and replaced the whole roof. The whole job took about a day and a half. Guys were epic . We had a total roof redone by them. Flat rock roof , not a favorite I heard . But these guys knocked it out in just two days !!!! Nice guys , hard workers . Clean up was a bit different .. I picked up multiple cigarette butts , several empty water bottles , and when they were done with the job, they used a blower to do dirt , rock and dust clean up.. thats all fine... but they blew it Into the pool which clogged our filters and turned water gray. We unfortunately had a terrible experience with this company. They came out to do work on our roof for two days. We assumed they would be back to finish up, but days went by without any contact or visit. The company then sent an invoice for the second half of the payment. When we told them them the work did not appear to be finished, they assured us it was. A supervisor was sent out to the house to take another look and he confirmed what we already knew. He told us he would have someone out to finish the job the next day. However, another several days went by with no visit or contact. Then, the company sent another invoice to let us know the second half of the payment was due. When we reminded them that someone was supposed to show up to finish the work, they once again reassured us it was done. We repeated the same process for a second time. This time, someone showed up to do work on the house but said they would be back the following week because they needed more material. Once again, days went by without a visit or contact and we were told once again their records showed the work was complete. Ultimately, it took our realtor showing up to the company's office in person to meet with the supervisor's boss for everything to get figured out. From start to finish, it took many phones calls, emails, and nearly a month for our roof to be fixed. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

Horrible Company! Quoted me a repair (rather expensive) and I had them do the work. They never showed up when promised, but days later. The first time it rained, the roof leaked in the same spot. I obviously wasted a lot of money due to an incompetent diagnosis of the issue. Not one person that came spoke English. All I got was "No Englese, No Englese!" I had a leak, apparently under the gaspack on the roof. I got an A/C company to organize a crane and disconnect the gaspack unit. B&M then came in and did a fine job of fixing the roof. This is a first-class team of roofers. Mark, Junior and the guys worked so carefully to replace our 1929 red tile roof! After 94 years of occasional patching, everything didn't line up perfectly when they got here, but they worked with the details and the new tiles fit beautifully when they were done. And they did it as scheduled, which turned out to be during the first serious heat wave of the summer (95+, and that doesn't count being on the roof in the sun). The crew from B&M showed up at my neighbor's house every day and worked all day, no leaving early. The job site was left as clean as I would have done - every day. Last year I had a standalone section of my roof replaced. A year later, a large water spot appeared on my ceiling, water ran down the inside of the wall and pooled on my floors. The drain wasn't clogged as I checked the next day and I had cleaned off the roof a few weeks prior. I reported the issue and a repair crew was sent out in a timely fashion. Schedulers and roof crews from install and repair were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. However, after entirely replacing a roof that should be good for 20+ years (aside from regular coatings) I am VERY disappointed that a leak occurred a year later from install. B&M honored their warranty - but I would have preferred the work to be done correctly the first time. I'm crossing my fingers this was a one time oops - otherwise what a waste of money for a new roof that doesn't work. read more

I am very pleased with B&M. The personnel were very considerate and professional, they responded very quickly to my leaking roof, and the re-roof was done in a very timely manner (I think from deposit to completion, it was only two weeks). A significant amount of potential damage was avoided as a result. It appears to be a top-notch job but only time will tell. I have not had to re-roof before but the price seemed to be inline with other estimates neighbors told me about. I have no doubt that one can find cheaper, but why would someone do that? A roof is a significant factor in livability of a home - cutting corners only invites more problems. I will be recommending B&M to whomever asks. I would strongly and highly recommend that you NOT use this company for any of your roofing needs. Here's why: In July 2019 some of the shingles on the roof of our rental house in midtown blew off in a strong gust of wind. The landlord employed B&M Roofing to repair the roof. The landlord had them install a completely new roof over entire house. B&M Roofing used the wrong size nails to attach the roofing shingles to the covered porch, which meant that approximately 3-4" of each nail (there were dozens and dozens and dozens of nails!) came through the roof of the back porch, making it look like some sort of medieval torture instrument! This, of course, ruined the roof of the back porch, and B&M Roofing agreed to repair the damage to the porch roof for free. Their "repair" was to simply saw off each piece of nail protruding through the porch roof and then just paint over the nail ends on the underside of the porch roof...no wood filler to repair the damaged porch roof, nothing to seal any holes left in the roof due to the damaged wood. The underside of the porch roof looked like a botched DIY installation! July, as many will know, is monsoon season here in Southern Arizona, and the very next time we had a monsoon rainstorm the roof leaked inside the kitchen in several places. We spent the weekend walking around several buckets strategically placed around the kitchen catching drips from the leaking roof. B&M Roofing again came and "fixed" the roof. The roofing crew that had installed the new roof earlier in July had neglected to seal around the rooftop AC unit, hence the leak coming through the AC ducts! Over the course of the three times B&M Roofing came to work on the roof of our rental house, each time they left hundreds of unused and discarded nails strewn across the entire roof area, which meant that every time it rained (remember, this was in July/August - monsoon season!) dozens of nails were washed/blown off the roof and onto the drive and into the street. Both of our vehicles got flat tires within a few days of each roof "repair." When we finally moved out of our rental house and into our own home, our Realtor chose B&M Roofing to do the required repair work on our new home. We were not happy about our Realtor engaging this cowboy outfit to work on our home, but it was all done so quickly we had little opportunity to object. And, yes, you guessed it, the very first time it rained hard in our new home, on the evening of Sunday December 8th, the roof leaked! The work they had done on the roof of our home was guaranteed, so I contacted them the next day (Monday December 9th). The person that answered the phone said that they were having to "deal with a lot of warranted repairs due to the storms this past weekend" and the earliest they could get a crew out to us would be Saturday December 14th! So I guess we're not the only customers of B&M Roofing that have problems with their roofing work! When the crew came to the house on Saturday December 14th, (this bit of this sorry tale is quite funny ironically!) the crew foreman (or the one that seemed to be in charge), didn't realize they were on a warrantee call and he actually said to us, when he saw that the skylight in the bathroom (which was the source of the leak) had not been put back on properly and had not been sealed at all by the company that did the recent roof work...he actually said that he thought that roofing company (B&M Roofing!) must be terrible because did an absolutely crap job! He went really quiet when we told him his company (B&M Roofing) is the company that did the original roofing work on the house! Anyway, if you've made it this far in this review...again - I STRONGLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NOT LET THIS COMPANY ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR ROOF. read more
