    Mushroom Breakfast Toast

GAIL's Bakery is a quaint bakery on King's Road in Chelsea! The food: GAIL'S has a ton of amazing pastries (we enjoyed a blueberry muffin, pecan caramel pastry, and a ham and gruyere croissant). The ham and gruyere croissant was a MUST try while everything else was just okay. We also ordered some breakfast toast that looked beautiful but tasted mediocre. The vibe: It could have been the morning rush, but this spot is very hectic. It's also challenging to find a seat. Once you do sit down the tables are super close together. The prices: Most of the pastries run a couple of pounds a pop. Overall it's fairly affordable. The consensus: GAIL's looks better then it tastes. I would recommend other spots for breakfast in Chelsea.

This was a great place with great food. Super quick and great staff. We ate here right before a Shakespeare's play and it did the job!

I loved the decor and atmosphere. Food: My friend and I both ordered the traditional English breakfast. I had mine with vegan sausage. The breakfast was exactly what I expected and was pretty good. I was excited they had a vegan sausage option instead of leaving the sausage off like other places. Service: Our service was quick and friendly. We were able to order promptly and our food came out in an expected amount of time. There is a bit of a time limit for stays because they are so busy, but we didn't feel rushed at all. TL;DR - Lovely place for an English breakfast

It was nice to have some vegetables and it was enjoyable. The vanilla scone came in warm and enough clotted cream and jam. The pot of tea was plenty for 2 people. The quality of tea is nothing special just a traditional British breakfast tea. The service was fast and friendly. The interior was decorated that really feels traditionally British, it was a nice touch to the overall experience. Cute tea cups were used as well.

After reading about all of the wonderful coffee places springing up in the City in the last few…read moremonths, jealousy began to take hold of the workers in the St James's Park/Victoria area. Around here it's all been the main chains, and lunchtime sandwich bars. Quality's therefore ranged from acceptably-above-mediocre to DIRE. With the arrival of Fabio & Charlie and The Flat Cap Coffee Company however all this has changed, and proper coffee can be found in the streets of Westminster! Fabio is an expert barista with incredible knowledge and attention to detail, and insists on using high-quality ingredients (incl. Square Mile Coffee) to produce a cup which is something I genuinely look forward to in the morning (as opposed to the routine "heart starter" that a coffee once was). The prices are on par with other places around the area - somewhere in the vicinity of £1.80 to £2.20 depending on what you're having. They also sell a very tasty range of pastries & whatnot brought in from Villandry, although you've usually got to get in pretty quick in the morning!
