    Tasting Of 3 Spreads

Came here on a World Cup night with a friend and they sat us right in front of the TV! Great accommodations and allowed us to stay for the whole game even when we were done eating! The octopus was delicious but I'm not sure I'll pair it with the hummus at the bottom. I love the warm pita with the spreads and taramosalata was by far the best. I had the Chilean sea bass and it was delicious. Would be back!

Beautiful restaurant interior. We were drawn by the look n the pre fixe lunch menu. Totally delicious n well done. We got the spreads, octopus upgrade, branzino, risotto, yogurt and baklava. All yummy!!!

I was looking for a nice lunch spot in Midtown and decided to try Gaia because of the positive Yelp reviews.  I opted for the prix fixe lunch menu, which offers a variety of options for each of the two courses. I kicked things off with complimentary warm pita bread and hummus. I tried to avoid filling up on this to leave room for the main course; however, I ended up eating all the bread anyway. I had the grilled Spanish octopus with pearl onions, confit cherry tomatoes, and fava for my first course. Although there is a $10 upcharge for this dish, it was divine and so worth it. For the main course, I had the Lavraki filet, a grilled Mediterranean sea bass with sautéed wild greens, capers, and ladolemono (extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice). While the fish was good, it had too much char on top for my taste. My server was attentive and the manager made a point to come by my table to say hello during my meal. Overall, I found Gaia to be a wonderful restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food.

The food was amazing. The braised short rib is delicious. The feta salad absolutely fantastic highly recommend the energy super fun and playful. Definitely a go to place and invite your girlfriends. This is the place to go Friday, Saturday night nights yay.

Found this gem by accident & so glad we did. We stopped in for lunch, The ambiance is upscale sexy with high ceilings and huge vintage mirrors it was beautiful. It is a Greek style restaurant & the staff super attentive. With great recommendations. Once again everything we had was delicious from the soup we tried both the lentil and the chicken yum the salad and we shared an entree the lamb. It's was a great experience can't wait to come back.

Loved the ambiance! Great place for a team lunch in midtown. We got reservations ahead of time for our party of 12. The prix fixe menu is a great option with excellent portion sizes. The food was good too - flavorful and well presented. They were also kind enough to get us small boxes to go as some of our party needed to leave earlier. Highly recommend!

Exploring the area near a new job location and delighted to find a bright and warm place reminding me of a recent visit to Athens. It looks cozy from the 35th St. entrance, but it's actually a larger place with upstairs dining. The decor is fresh and modern -- and the noise level doesn't overwhelm conversation. I had the theatre special starting with an *authentic* Greek Salad (No lettuce and a generous block of feta on top!) The super friendly staff comped me a nice Santorini white (without asking) and asked about my opinion of the Organic chicken Main course (a lemony, juicy bliss). With all that, how could I choose anything other than the baklava? Another home run of crispy sweetness with small scoop of gelato. I'll be back, and what a great first impression, Gaia and staff.

We stopped in for RW lunch on a weekday, and the restaurant was pretty quiet. The service was attentive and friendly, and the space itself was bright and very clean. For appetizers, we ordered the sesame‑crusted feta and the meatballs. The meatballs were ok, but the sesame crusted feta with fig spread was absolutely delicious. For entrées, the branzino was good, nicely cooked, but not particularly memorable. The truffle pasta, however, was excellent: perfectly cooked, creamy, and full of flavor. For dessert, we both had the baklava, which was wonderful, and the pistachio ice cream served alongside it was equally delicious. Overall, I'd definitely return, whether it's during Restaurant Week or not.

I found Gaia as part of the restaurant week participants. Gaia is located in K-town and is next door to a hotel, however the entrance is different. Once I walked into Gaia, I was astonished in how gorgeous this restaurant is! I am obsessed with the chandeliers, I wish I had high ceilings and able to hang a chandelier like the one here. Right when you walk in, there is a long bar to the left with tables located alongside and in the back, note there is also a private upstairs area, which would be perfect for a party (noted for the future!) I went with a party of 5 and initially thought it would be a good deal getting the $60 restaurant week dinner menu, however no one was really interested in the dishes through RW and we ended up ordering 1 from RW and the rest from the regular menu. From the RW, we ordered 1 menu, greek salad, cod fish and gelato. Which were all delicious. From the regular menu, we ordered from apps: octopus, calamari, zucchini chips, spanakopita. And then from the entrees: lobster pasta and fish special (it is a fresh fish from New Zealand called Alfonsino) and the RW cod fish. We were completely blown away from all of the dishes. Major highlights were the octopus with santorini fava beans (my fav!), and the fresh grilled alfonsino fish. I have never had this fish before and it was totally worth it! To top off the delicious food, our server and the manager were both so attentive, offering us extra treats. Gaia is my new Greek restaurant obsession! I must go back asap. Highly recommend. If you are not going, you are missing out!

    Complimentary pita and spread

It is restaurant week! Great excuse to go out and check out different restaurants! For our first one this year, we checked out Gaia. It's a really nice Mediterranean spot..the food and service were amazing. Our waiter was so sweet. He saw me taking photos of the complimentary pita and spread. So he asked, "do you want to take photos of the food before I split it for you guys to share." -Warmed my heart- The decor was so nice too! I'm so glad we went! What we ordered: Complimentary pita and spread Appetizers: ~ Calamari (it was seriously grilled to perfection) ~ Salmon Tartare (I never had it with apple garnish, and orange and lime juice) Entrees: (Disclaimer, we were hungry so we forgot to take the photos before our servers split the food for us. But no regrets the food was really good) ~ Fish of the day: Sea bass, with tomatoes and a celery puree ( it just melted in my mouth and I usually don't like celery, but I didn't mind the puree) ~ Lamb Chops (you can never go wrong with lamb chops) there is a $18 supplement, but it was so worth it!) Dessert: Ekmek Kataifi Greek Yogurt Cheesecake (reminds me of a NY cheesecake

The best place is a paradise once he step inside high ceilings and nice soothing music. I had the pasta dish which was the perfect balance of truffle.

It feels like you stepped into a rustic little house that a family lives in. We really appreciated that they were playing Albanian music. The food is so filling and heavy so pace yourself. My husband and I shared the pepper dip and the baked cheese appetizers, which come with freshly baked bread. Seriously delicious. For entrees, I got the tava kosi, which is an egg dish with two pieces of lamb. Honestly I didn't love it. It's a LOT of egg. The lamb pieces were delicious, but I was already so full that I could only have one piece. I wish it had a bit less egg and a bit more other things, but I know this is their national dish. My husband got the qofte shari. It was perfect. Cooked so well, the meat was spiced uniquely, even the fries were great. I think I just ordered the wrong thing! I would seriously love to return and try another clay dish. We finished off the meal with Albanian coffee, which was like Turkish coffee, but smoother and better. All in all, left so happy and full. Service was so attentive, too. Go here for a unique meal in the cutest little restaurant.

The staff was extremely warm, kind and welcoming and a special shoutout to Irem who was amazing, gave us some great recommendations and took care of us throughout. I went for the $39 prix fixe brunch which is honestly such a great deal and comes with quite a spread. I had the muhammara, hummus, shakshuka and dessert and thoroughly enjoyed my coffee too. We also ordered the tuna Niçoise salad, which is by far the best I have had ever. One of my friends was accidentally served the wrong order and they immediately replaced it with the right one and made her meal completely complimentary, which was such a nice gesture and something we really appreciated. We also loved that nobody was rushing us and we could just sit, chat and enjoy our brunch. We started with 7 family style small dishes: Hummus with Falafel Pops (chickpea purée, tahini, falafel, olive oil), Spring Burrata (roasted cherry tomatoes, toast, basil oil), Hamachi Crudo (passionfruit vinaigrette, citrus zest, cucumber, mint, sesame tuile), Scallops (carrot puree, serrano pepper, brown butter sauce), Tenderloin Skewer (zaatar chimichurri, fresh herb salad), and Shiitake Stuffed Grape Leaves (tomato coulis, yogurt foam, herbs). Everything was delicious. The hummus was well seasoned the falafel had a nice crunch. It went well with the warm puffy gyro bread that came to the table. The burrata was wasm and creamy. I love the vinaigrette on the fish. I ended up eating most of it. The scallops were the sweetest, most tender ones I have ever had. The tenderloin skewers were tender and well seasoned. I liked the grape leaves but the rice consistency was very soft almost mushy and you can barely tell there were mushrooms. There was barely any mushrooms flavor. Next we all chose an entree. I got the duck breast, my husband and daughter each had the beef tenderloin. The duck breast was smaller than i expected. The skin was nicely seared and very crispy but boy did it give my jaw a workout. It was done medium rare. It was juicy but tough. The small beef tenderloin was tender and smoky. The waiter poured the sauce over the tenderloin for added flavor. Finally dessert was a fruit plate with ice cream and pudding. The fruit was fresh and the flavors of the ice cream and pudding unique. It was a nice end to a good brunch. The price was a little expensive at $85 a person.
