Paint spatter all over showerhead - and all over the shower tile too!

Save yourself the headache and AVOID Gaddy Construction. We hired Brian Gaddy to renovate a master bathroom and a guest bath. The process was arduous and got confrontational at the end... Craftmanship is a C, attitude was a D-, timeline was a C, Painting and finishing touches gets a D, and the overall process averaged to a D+. It's a shame to spend this much money and be marginally happy with the end result. During the bid process Brian indicated he would be on site regularly to manage the process. This was a lie and could not be further from the truth. He was rarely at the job-site, unless he needed a check. Craftmanship: Lack of caring was the biggest issue here. At the end of the project we are left with trim boards where the nail holes were never filled, just painted over - some of them aren't even painted over. Corners on trim are not square or flush in most cases. The drywall people never sanded the second layer of mud - which shows clearly through the paint. Workers chipped the Brand New quartz countertop and 'fixed' it with some very potent epoxy - burns my blood to see brand new quartz get chipped due to carelessness. Paint and Finishing touches = The painters were horrible. NO drop cloths were used and we ended up with paint spatter all over the windows, hardwood floors, ceiling fan, quartz countertops, new vanity, shower tile, everywhere... See pics. The cleaners that were hired by Gaddy Construction did not clean the paint up at all - in fact they didn't even clean the windows. This left the painful task of scrubbing paint off the floors to me and my wife. It took 4 hours one day just for the bedroom floors and walls - we are still working on the tile floors in the bathrooms as the paint is in the grout, etc. Finish carpentry was spotty at best. We are still finding finish nail holes that were never filled - and holes that were filled but never sanded and have since been painted over. This will likely result in us re-hiring some painters next summer to do the job correctly. Attitude: Brian was agreeable enough during the process until I disagreed with building a new wall OVER existing carpet. Brian wanted to shortcut the process - and got very confrontational when I questioned it (FYI: Building a new permanent wall OVER carpet and padding is not acceptable per code). Brian got frustrated and walked away from me in the middle of a conversation - he stomped off to his car and sped off like a crazy person. Needless to say it's been a bit awkward since then. Most recently I was told it is "just not appropriate" to send a text at 7:30 PM on a Sunday asking about the electrician who is showing up on Monday... Entire project gets a D-. It was frustrating and I will not deal with Gaddy Construction ever again; and I would warn you to think twice before even asking for a bid from his Company. It is not worth your money or effort. Feel free to ask me any questions - or just look at this pics and ask yourself "Would I pay my hard earned money for that?" Hint: the answer is NO! Go find a real contractor... and email me when you find a good one please! garthallen78@yahoo.com

We did have a few hiccups/issues on the initial permitting and early dig, but we were able to adapt and overcome, which I appreciated Steve's flexibility on.

We first hired him back when he was known as "Steve Beam Handyman," and it's been amazing to see him grow and expand his services with the launch of Denver Remodels Inc. Over the years, Steve and his team have tackled everything from small repairs (like anchoring heavy drapery hardware into our finicky plaster walls) to major renovations (like restoring the exterior of our 1908 Craftsman). One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. He takes the time to truly understand your vision and offers expert guidance throughout the design process. Whether you're tackling a small project or a major renovation, Steve's deep knowledge and experience are on display with every project he does. He's always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and steer you in the right direction, ensuring that the final result is even better than you imagined. His team is equally fantastic - professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled. If you're looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional remodeling experience in Denver, look no further than Steve Beam and Denver Remodels Inc. They're a standout and I'm so glad we found them.

From start to…read morefinish, their professionalism, communication, and attention to detail exceeded all expectations. One of the standout aspects of working with A2Z Builders was their seamless communication. Using WhatsApp, they kept track of every request, update, and change throughout the project. This made the entire process transparent, organized, and stress-free. Satchel, the Lead Project Manager, was truly the heart of the project. His patience, responsiveness, and empathy made the renovation experience smooth and enjoyable. He was detail-oriented, ensured everything was done correctly, and welcomed changes without hesitation. Satchel's leadership gave us confidence that our home was in the best hands. I'm already recommending Satchel to friends and family for remodeling projects because he's simply amazing! Philipe, another Project Manager, deserves recognition for his dedication to keeping the crew on time and each task running smoothly. His consistent presence onsite ensured that deadlines were met and quality was maintained. Thanks to his oversight, we always knew the project was progressing exactly as planned. He also has a great eye for style and gave us lots of recommendations :) Macy, Lead Designer, brought our vision to life with creativity and expertise. She guided us through the kitchen layout, tile selections, and bathroom accessories, helping us achieve a design that perfectly balanced our different styles. Her eye for detail tied the entire remodel together beautifully--from the kitchen and bathroom to the fireplace and beyond. We wholeheartedly recommend A2Z Builders to anyone considering a renovation--whether small or a full house remodel. Their team is professional, talented, and genuinely cares about their clients. Choosing A2Z Builders was the best decision we made, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Satchel, Philipe, and Macy made the experience unforgettable, and we are grateful for their dedication, professionalism and expertise. Also, they were a blast to work with and we can't wait to do more projects with this team in the very near future!

This project was long and stressful. We signed the contract in March 2025. We had a discussion…read moreabout the expectations about our back yard porch which introduced a change. Then we decided to get a digital rendering of the porch which came out great, but came with a price of over $1k in addition to the initial Estimate which was over 40k. Some time went by and we heard very minimal about the project between March and August. I decided to do a review on yelp to motivate the company to do something with our project. I received a phone call from the PM about how this affects their business. I agreed that I would remove that review and add a review at the end. Our understanding was that there would be quality control and communication weekly along the way however; this was not the case. There were days where the painter and foundation person came when they said they would and other times they didn't. A couple of times I would go out and look and tell the construction worker that the quality was not acceptable. This occurred on more than one occasion. I called the PM to tell him that this was the problem. It got fixed and we ended up with a beautiful porch in Mid November with a total of $45k spent. If you have the time and money to spend to guide this project the exact way that you want then yes, otherwise; I would recommend a different company.

I got a few quotes, and I decided to work with Homestrong. I worked with Ben to get the quote and coordinate the schedule. He came out to do the measurements and quote, and he was patient in answering all my questions as we did the walk-through. He was also very thorough in answering my follow-up questions about their quote. Homestrong came in with the best price, and as near as I could tell, they were quoting comparable work and materials. I also appreciate that Ben later on consulted with the radon mitigation company that I was working with to make sure the radon system would work well with the encapsulation work. He was knowledgeable about the radon work, too. Jesus G and a co-worker (didn't catch his name) showed up right on time on the day of the work, and they worked hard all day and half of the next day. Jesus was also patient with me and answered my questions throughout the day, and both guys were considerate and flexible. I'm really happy with the work they did. My crawl spaces used to be that part of my house that I avoided, but now I'm much more comfortable with those areas. I don't have a before picture to show, but it was pretty bad in there.

I chose Homestrong on the basis of strong reviews and I thought they did a terrific job. I noticed…read moremoisture coming into our crawl spaces and wanted to get it checked out. Chase came and gave a thorough but fair assessment of what needed to be sealed. One crawlspace was much better than expected and the other crawlspace was much worse than we would have otherwise known. We ended up replacing two sill plates, adding moisture barriers outside that crawl space, and sealing all the interior vents and cracks with foam. They also helped seal some driveway cracks. The estimate was for 4 full days of work. Lalo was the foreman and was really great to work with throughout. He and another worker worked hard each day. Their work was careful, clean, and professional, and I felt like I was in very good hands. Lalo was also very helpful in answering all my questions along the way. The only downsides were that they accidentally clipped the internet line so we lost internet for about a day, but they sent out an electrician to do the repair the next morning. They also damaged and promptly repaired a sprinkler hose but that was no big deal. Importantly, they were very transparent about what happened and took care of the repairs at no extra cost. The foundation work ended up going over by an extra half day to a Saturday, but I was happy that they wanted to do the work well rather than rush the job just to finish "on time." Lalo's boss, Jose, came out separately to do the driveway repair. That work also ended up taking a bit longer than he initially expected. But again I was glad to see that he wanted to get the job done the right way even if it took more time. Foundation repair is always a big investment but I would definitely recommend Homestrong and use them again next time.
