I bought my first piece of diamond platinum jewelry here many, many years ago from Lisa, the store owners daughter. Since then, whenever I was in town, I've stopped by to oooh and ahhh at all of the sparkly pieces in the windows and cases. They always have gorgeous pieces and I of course I always wanted more than I could afford, I LOVE ME SOME ROCKS. Diamonds really are a girls best friend ;) I've since had my pieces from GF reworked into new pieces (by the team at GF) as well as had those pieces cleaned and gotten them back super sparkly & as good as new, A+ for reworking them and also for the fresh cleaning! They've had a couple "closing sales" previously and never actually closed GF had a good run here in Chico, they were here for ever. The staff a Gabriell Ferrar are great to work with. When i was looking for a ring, I didn't know what, cut, caret, ring color..even ring size that my girlfriend would want. So to help me, Gabrielle Ferrar set up one of the boxes with some rings that i thought she would like. Then we planned on a saturday that i would bring her by and we would just stop by to take a quick look. We basicly set up a secret meet up where we would both walk in going to look for a watch, while the lady working stole my girlfriend away to go look, while i looked at watches. So we stopped by and the Lady working helped my fiancee find three rings that she thought she liked the most. We left and later on i came back to find out what she had liked, and they helped me find the best fit for her based on her taste! Two months later we went to Mexico and..she said yes! I came with my boyfriend to look at engagement rings. We had been quite a few other places but were looking for something unique and different than the cookie-cutter rings that most chains carry. I really like the vintage look and the store was able to order a few different types of settings and loose diamonds to try out. This jewelry store has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced from any type of business. There have been times where I have stood in their store for 15 minutes before being helped, while the owners and their employees stand in the back office and chit chat. I was given a price in writing for a ring by the owner, but when I went to purchase it they didn't honor their quote and charged even more and the ring I received was inferior quality. I did my homework and hit every jewelry store in town. This was the worst. I had a ring to propose with and I wanted to use the diamond or the ring. I don't know about rings so I thought they would be able to help me. After looking at it the lady said my ring was in bad shape and that I should use the diamond and buy a different ring. After they knew I didn't have a lot of money to spend they ignored me. Since I was working with a small budget I wanted to get another opinion. Glad I did. I went to two other jewelers. We spent an hour or so with Moana on Saturday and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Looking at engagement rings with the one you love is very special in itself but Moana truly made this an experience of a lifetime. I knew exactly what setting I wanted but was more interested in looking at and learning about diamonds. She spent the time to show us at least 8-10 diamonds in the size and price range that we were looking for. Explaining in detail what made them different from one another. To add to this my boyfriend and I went to Kirk's (close by) the weekend prior where no one took the time to show us a single diamond but rather stated 'they didn't have the setting that I was looking for but they could of course make it.' We were in and out of Kirk's in under five minutes and don't plan to go back.
