Absolutely terrible experience - avoid at all costs. I came in for a simple veil (nearly $400 for something basic), and ended up with my wedding dress damaged by their employee just one week before my wedding. Instead of apologizing or helping fix the issue, the owner was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional - even implying I had gained weight, when I had actually lost 30 lbs. They refused to take any responsibility and offered no real solution. I asked to cancel the veil (which hadn't even shipped yet) to help cover the emergency dress repair, and was met with more indifference. The entire experience was incredibly stressful and disheartening. Save yourself the nightmare.. do not go here! read more

At Always Elegant Bridal the staff never did that. They respected my budget which made me feel like I could trust them. I was by no means an easy bride to deal with. If I could leave a negative star, I would. If you've ever seen Pretty Woman, you know the classic shopping scene where Julia gets to freely shop and runs into a snob. Ok, let me just say, this place and the people there are seriously so amazing. I worked with Mary at my initial appointment. She was so fun and made me feel super comfortable. My whole appt was a blast and I found the most amazing dress EVER! My dress came in in less than a couple weeks, so I got to go in and try it on. Then they helped me find an amazing veil and really took time to help me out with that decision. It was just as fun and special as finding my dress! Then, unfortunately my fiancé and I had to put our big wedding off until next year so I wanted to find another more simple dress for the ceremony we are still doing on our original date. Finding the second dress was a little more difficult. I tried out another place and the service was nowhere near what I got at AE and I was super bummed. So I randomly popped in one morning, explained my situation and they got me in right then. I have had really short time frames on everything too and they just worked with it no problem. Mary and everyone was SO patient with me trying to find one that fit right. I found my second dress and I'm just elated. I not only get to marry my amazing fiancé twice but I also get two wedding dresses. COVID have made things so stressful and it was really hard to put the wedding off but everyone here makes me forget about all that and just have a great time. But with that said, they still took all precautions to ensure everyone is safe and healthy during the pandemic. I'm even excited for my alterations just because I get to go back in and hang out with all of them again! I can't speak highly enough of AE Bridal. I am head over heels in love with my dress and had so much fun shopping for it. I was initially nervous for my appointment that I wouldn't find the right dress and that it would be a stressful experience, but it was far from it! Zoë was so amazing from the get go. She called days before my appointment to get a feel for what I wanted and things I liked and really listened. Even my friends said how impressed they were with how well she pulled dresses that were my style--it made choosing just one so hard! Zoë made me feel comfortable and never once rushed me. She really helped make the whole experience so great. AE made saying "Yes" with my family and friends so fun and even sent me home with the cutest gift of champagne and engagement socks. Luckily my dress order was able to be cancelled and I went in and Brianna helped me choose the actual dress of my dreams. She was so patient and understanding and helped me look for exactly what I wanted! Crazy but it happens! Still they were so amazing to me and made sure to have a happy bride. My mom and I went in right after they reopened after having to close due to COVID-19 - the store was just gorgeous and they took all the proper safety precautions (which made us feel comfortable as I was trying to be extra, extra careful with my mom). Not only were they abiding by all COVID rules, but they also made sure my experience was personal and one of a kind. I was paired with Mary and she made me feel like a million bucks. The staff was lovely and very kind. However here is my warning, if you are not absolutely sure that this is the dress you want don't buy it , keep looking. When they say the sale is final they really mean it. After a long 2 hr session of trying of dresses, none of which were the right style we, out of exhaustion and guilt of taking so long , ordered a dress. Extreme buyer's remorse set it almost immediately. We let them know a few days later that it was not the dress. On a $1600 dress the best they could do was a $600 restock fee and $1000 store credit. Brianna listened to what I wanted in a dress, kept to the budget I was comfortable with, and was knowledgeable about what types of alterations could be done to each dress. I walked away from my first appointment without finding a dress. Brianna kept in touch with me and explained she would be happy to have dresses shipped to the store from their designers that I wanted to try. I took Brianna up on the offer and had a couple dresses shipped to the store for me to try. Brianna gave me updates and helped set up a second appointment. Round two was a success and I found my perfect dress! Brianna was fun to work with. It isn't always comfortable being in a dressing room with someone, but she made it easy. I loved working with the staff at AE Bridal in Chico! Sarah, Breeann, and Danielle were so kind and helpful. The knowledge and care these ladies provided was amazing. I was dreading searching for a dress because I'm short, stocky, and I wasn't at the weight I wanted to be, but these ladies made me feel so comfortable. I went in a few times with different bridesmaids and the final visit with family. The first day Sarah found the dress I ended up deciding on. There was still so much to look at though, due to time constraints on my part, I wasn't sure it was the one yet. I still wanted to try others styles and keep my options open. Bree gave me such great assistance at my next two apointments. She found such beautiful and flattering dresses for me, two of which were the runners up to my favorite from the first appointment...it took the days in between mulling over pictures and that last appointment to truly decide between them. Sarah and Bree were so helpful and patient answering all our questions. This shop also offered something I couldn't get at David's Bridal, true customization. They can customize the dress to your height, and the seamstress is able to make modifications and/or additions by ordering additional material from the designer. I recently went to a wedding where they added sleeves to the dress, I would never have known it was modified! I'm so glad I made an appointment with your shop at the Chico Bridal Show! My maid-of-honor found her dress here during a previous appointment and I fell in love with the staff and wide range of dresses--therefore I returned for my own special day. Booking an appointment online is easy as can be; schedule your date, time block, and receive an emailed confirmation and reminder the week before. I called twice and both times the phone was answered happily and my questions were answered thoroughly and without fuss. During my appointment I was nervous and had no idea what I wanted. I never felt rushed, judged, and all of my critiques were listened too. My gal even took the time to look through my Pinterest inspiration board and put me in some dresses "just for fun" which really took the pressure off of me and made for an enjoyable time--after all, you only do this once! After finding the perfect dress the process to follow was simple. My proper measurements were taken, we reviewed the time frame the dress would come in, was verbally given an estimate on basic alterations (which seem affordable), and signed paperwork. A payment of 60% of the total can be paid upfront and the rest at another time which makes for breaking up the payment do-able. The dresses are already reasonably priced and made driving 3 hours away from my hometown worth it! I would recommend Always Elegant Bridal to anyone! read more

I can't even begin to express how amazing A|E Bridal is. My initial appointment was with Mikayla and she was so so sweet. I told her what I wanted and she picked out several great options. It only took 4 dresses to find my dress. After a couple days after placing my order I had changed my mind on what color I wanted. I had originally picked a nude color dress. I called Monday morning and spoke with Mary. Mary called the designer and was able to have the order put on hold. She was even able to squeeze me in that same day to try on the dress again to look at the color options. Mary was empathetic when I went back in for the second time. I absolutely recommend AE Bridal in either Chico or Yuba City. I shopped for my wedding dress in Yuba City before the salon was open in Chico. I had a pretty large group with me and they were able to accommodate my group easily. They even let us pop some champagne after I had found my dress! Since I live in Chico, I was able to take in my dress the week of the wedding and have the Chico salon steam it before the big day. The gals in both shops are so sweet, helpful, and honest. Just what you want when you are shopping for that perfect gown for your big day.
