Devon's is amazing! My fiancé bought me my dream engagement ring and it looked even better in person than I had imagined it. Unfortunately he got my ring size wrong and it was several sizes too big. I got it resized, but was still contemplating making it smaller. When I called Devon's to explain they sounded happy about me coming back in, not annoyed or impatient and couldn't wait to make my ring fit perfectly. All the employees at Devon's were kind, polite, and made sure I was happy every step of the way. I felt like such a Karen coming back and being picky, but they couldn't have been nicer. They resized my ring to fit my finger perfectly. I didn't know you could have sizes between half sizes, that's how specific and detailed they were sizing me. Absolutely love this jewelry store!!! We went there about 2-3 weeks ago just to get sized and look at some rings. Ended up finding the one. Kevin has been more than amazing to work with. He held the ring for us for a few weeks actually until we could pick up and he even went above and beyond with my fiancés ring, getting samples in so we could look at those and is helping design his ring and being realistic about what we will get and what is in our budget. When we went in to pay for my ring, Kevin wasn't in but the girls in the front did an amazing job finding his notes and making sure we were paying what was promised. No hassle at all. I 100% suggest them. Note: In response to some of the other reviews, I never noticed anyone "drunk" or under the influence of something and they were completely upfront with me about the lab created diamonds and the mined ones....and honestly you cannot tell the difference between the two. Except you don't have the "blood diamond" guilt with a lab created diamond. read more

(X-posting here) I don't ever post negative reviews, but I even know where to start. We had a great experience purchasing my wedding band and my engagement ring, however, the quality has been absolutely horrendous. I lost three diamonds in my wedding band within the first year of owning it, and a FOURTH one a year later, and my main diamond in my engagement ring has now come loose TWICE. After taking in my ring to have the diamonds replaced, I asked to have the wedding band completely replaced as it had to have been faulty. They refused to do this, and instead said they would replace the diamonds, which meant I'd be out of a ring for weeks at a time. I was without my wedding ring for a cumulative of several months my first year of being married, which should never happen. When I lost the fourth diamond I about lost my mind. They eventually told me my options were to either bring it in every single month to have the prongs checked and tightened (meaning I'd be without the ring for at least a week every month - unreal); I could trade in the band and have to spend 2x the amount of the band in order to do a trade in, or unsauter it and keep it and get a new band at full price. (I unsautered it and kept my band and bought a new one elsewhere). Not to mention they had horrible communication with me to where I had to call and check on my ring several times, all when they told me that they would keep me updated but never did. And lastly, my sister in law AND cousin have both had several issues with their rings as well (one had to get a brand new ring elsewhere due to her ring issues). Would never recommend this place as the quality of their jewelry is horrible, and their customer service over the years has gone down significantly. read more

Back when Hubby and I were engagement ring shopping, hubby wanted a place that was low pressure. Wade at DeVon's fit the bill. Hubby has a degree in geology so he is particular about diamond quality and I have a black belt in designer shopping so DeVons' was the right place for us. They carry high-end jewelry lines like Tacori that I like and they will bring in GIA certified diamonds that hubby demands. I wanted very specific changes to the setting I selected and DeVons had Tacori follow them exactly (e.g. swap gold head for platinum, make 4 prong setting into 6 prong, reduce height of setting, etc.). We did have some problems when we had the ring resized but in the end, DeVon's had Tacori make it right and that is what ultimately matters. read more

I was sold a designer ring and ring guard for my wedding, I was told by the manager, Mona that the ring guard could be sized two weeks before my wedding she called me to tell me she was wrong it could not be sized and that she would have to order me a new one. She then told me that she could not guarantee that it would be ready for my wedding! I got my money back and went to JB Robinson where I got a beautiful new ring and the manager wanted to be sure I got it on time so he drove to Sacramento himself to get it! My boyfriend and I bought our engagement and wedding rings here last week. The first time we came in to look was about 3 weeks ago, then again last week. Each time we were helped by Jeremy and another lady (sorry I didn't get her name)- they were WONDERFUL! They did not push us to over spend. They never acted annoyed when we wanted to re-trying on rings repeatedly. They were DOWN TO EARTH and FRIENDLY. They really made it easy and comfortable to make such a big decision. At this store we were torn between 5 rings! The other stores really only had 1 that caught our eye. So the selection was great here and the prices were very reasonable. They had them sent away to be resized and we didn't expect to have them back for almost a week, but they surprised us with just about 3 days! Super fast service! I had my gold chain repaired and it only took them about 3 days to get it back. The price to fix wasn't too bad either.

I'll just start by saying everyone is nice and professional and I was able to return my ring with no issues so I appreciate that. The reason for the low stars is because, I was looking for my wedding ring And I found a beautiful ring here . After purchasing an almost $5000 ring and I was so excited ! But then I noticed on the receipt that it said Lab grown diamond . At no time during the several visits to this store did anyone mention that all of their diamond are lab grown . Maybe I'm being snooty but I love the story about how the precious diamonds are made over millions of years in only the perfect of environments. A lab grown diamond to me took away the romanticism of why I was buying a diamond. I just feel like this is information that should be boasted on their part. They should be upfront and proud of what they are selling and not hide any information. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of great reasons to buy lab created, I was just wanting what I wanted. read more
