Visiting El Paso from California and I have been looking for more casual dining experience with…read moregood food. This place was perfect! This restaurant is very unassuming and a hidden gem that is located in a strip mall. From the exterior, it's hard to know what to expect but when you walk in the restaurant, it's got a good ambience to it. It could make for a romantic date night, dinner or more casual dining experience at the bar, Overall it was a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. They offer booth seating, romantic table seating for two or more and seating at the bar. The hostess and the servers were very attentive. We received excellent service from the bar as well. The drink that I chose was a Side Car and coming from LA, we have great Mixology, but I have to say that this drink blew me away. And could possibly be one of the best whiskey cocktails I've had in a long time! It was so well, balanced, and perfectly crafted. We ordered the mussels and the fish of the day which was the trout in a lemon wine caper sauce. Both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. For dessert, we ordered both the chocolate mousse and the crème brûlée. I did not try the chocolate mousse, but my daughter said it was amazing. The crème brûlée was also perfectly made. The server, Bruléd at the table and that was a nice touch. I have had a lot of crème brûlée desserts and have my top five and I have to say this was probably on the list. So happy that we stumbled upon this place and I will probably be visiting one more time before I go back home. I highly recommend it!

Expectations and reality were nothing alike. As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

We shared Steak & Fried Shrimp (one filet, one upgraded ribeye), cauliflower mash, sautéed asparagus, Brussels sprouts, a Friday-night fried shrimp special, the Thirty 5ive wedge, Caesar salad, and key lime pie. While the steak temperatures were swapped (filet medium vs. ordered medium-rare, ribeye medium-rare vs. ordered medium), everything was excellent--and the key lime pie absolutely stole the show. Service was warm and attentive: we were seated immediately, the server handled a chowder substitution with care, and the atmosphere struck the right balance of upscale bar and grill with comfortable seating. It's a great anchor for this central El Paso neighborhood. We loved the key lime pie so much we ordered it again from their sister restaurant the next day--sharing it with family visiting our Tía on home hospice. Hearing her say it was "magnificent" made it unforgettable.

Raoul, our server, was attentive, polished, and genuinely pleasant throughout the evening. The kitchen remains one of the very best in El Paso -- frankly far superior to Anson 11, which too often feels overrated and inconsistent. The fresh Ahi Tuna was outstanding. The bone marrow was exquisite in both refinement and flavor, rich and literally melting in my mouth. The Branzino was cooked to perfection. Add a great bottle of Champagne Crystal Roederer Rose with a perfectly balanced French Martini, and the evening became close to flawless. I Mesa Street Grill still knows how to deliver a true dining experience. We will absolutely be back. Tomorrow they have a special Memorial Day Weekend Sunday Brunch that will be for sure very promising!!

The ambiance is elegant and comfortable without feeling formal, making it perfect for a business lunch, a date night, or a relaxed dinner where the food actually matters. Service is attentive and professional without hovering. You can tell the staff is well trained and takes pride in the experience they're providing. The portions are generous, the presentation is thoughtful, and the flavors are exceptional. The sauces are truly the standout. Rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. The Caesar salad is excellent and often overlooked, but it deserves credit. Dessert is not an afterthought here and is absolutely worth ordering. Yes, it's a bit on the pricier side, but it's worth it. You leave feeling like the quality, service, and overall experience matched what you paid. I'm genuinely glad they reopened.
