I've been here twice as it's 2 miles from my house. Not super impressed with their beer selection- lack of lagers, ambers, and stouts (they do an imperial but that's a lot of ABV for a causal beer). The food is over priced. The chicken sandwich costs more than a pizza does! I've had the pizza twice and I really need the crust to be crispier. It's like the crust is not cooked long enough. Service has been good both times, but seemed a little short staff. Really really cool place and cool vibe, however really need to improve the food for me to come back. read more

Went to a rehearsal dinner there. Buffet style. Food very mediocre. Staff was so so. Bartender had an attitude. Would not go back

Never walked out of a restaurant before last night. Waited eight minutes before anyone greeted us while standing at the "wait to be seated stand." Apparently the hostess was in the back talking to a manager about the gentleman ahead of us order. Somehow he placed an order through their website but no one was able to find site because they don't take online orders? Manager refused to come out and speak to him. Sent the young hostess to say too bad, He walked out without the food along with charges on his credit card. We were seated fairly quickly after this. Brought waters and asked about our drinks. Waitress pointed out beer menu on TV, walked away (without saying a word). And, after 15 minutes of never seeing her again we decided to leave. This would have been my third time there. One other time the service wasn't great. read more

I really wanted to like this place. We were visiting from Arizona & were told G5 was pretty good. We were seated right away and ordered Diet Cokes. They came and tasted bad with little fizz. We told the waitress and ordered iced tea. Those came with no sweetener or lemon. We had to ask. We then ordered apps, cheese curds & truffle fries. They came with no plates. The curds were the frozen, corn flour breaded ones. More breading than cheese. The fries were the BOMB! I could eat these all day, every day! I wanted the Pear salad and asked the waitress if I could have iceberg or regular lettuce instead of the spring mix. She said 'sure!' The salad came with the spring mix. Boooo. I just picked out the bitter purple pieces. My son ordered the ham & gruyere sandwich. He took one bite and that was it, didn't like it. He finished his fries. The waitress came back one time to check on us. No tea refills, not offer of desserts. We paid the bill and left disappointed. read more

The burgers had such a strong charboiled taste, that they tasted burnt. For $17, I dont want a burnt burger! Fries were ok, nothing special about the pub chips. Service was good and the atmosphere was excellent. They just need to work in the taste of the food. read more

First time being at G5 and was hoping for more. I ordered the cheese curds, the burger of the week (gyro inspired) with truffle fries and a double IPA. Nothing wowed me. The beer was probably the best thing and slightly above average. Cheese curds were soggy. The burger was ok. The truffle fries were good first bite but were overly salty after. Overall I expected more for $37 plus tip. The atmosphere was solid however. read more

A big fan of this place. Their pizzas (with their own hand tossed dough) are fantastic. You can get delivery through DoorDash as well. The beers are also top notch if you swing by in person. read more

Have had plenty of good meals here and never a problem until yesterday. Something is up with the chicken wings or blue cheese dressing I had yesterday. Ate half the wings at the restaurant and barely made it home before having to rush to the bathroom. Had leftovers later and same thing. I had bragged about how I thought they were the best wings ever but something wasn't right. read more

Service takes forever and is blasé at best. Food is not good, everything was barely edible. Frozen fries and 'homemade hummus' that was barely edible. Beers were ok, but not enough to make up for literally everything else. read more

Tried to order a gift card online, unsuccessful after multiple attempts. Called restaurant and the hostess indicated that they have been having difficulties with on-line orders as well. Option to order gift cards should be shut down until fix is in place. Frustrating. Hostess indicated I could stop in to purchase. Long way from Orlando to Beloit. read more

My husband and I went for lunch. Service was so slow. Our waitress didn't check on us not even 1 time after we got our drinks or food. The salad with Avacado vinaigrette was inedible. The place was not busy although the manager and waitress said that they were busy. 2 hostesses sat at the front on their phones the whole time. Teamwork people! Help each other out. 2 stars for the truffle fries and my blueberry mojito. read more

We had a rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding last week and we were very pleased. Eric is great to work with. Food was delish and our party shared many compliments about the restaurant and food. Service was exceptional and the ambiance was welcoming read more

This brewery serves brunch on Sundays. They also have a great menu with salads, burgers, or pizza. We love the view while sitting enjoying a cold glass of beer with appetizers on a Sunday afternoon. You can watch the football game or the snow flurries. Very Relaxing. They do have really good coffee too read more

Fish Fry was rock hard, over fried small piece of fish. I could pick it up and bang it on the plate. So disappointed considering how much their food costs. read more

Very bad. I went there and got the chicken sandwich, they put way to much sauce, so the bottom bun was soggy, and the middle of the chicken was not cooked all the way. read more

Heard wonderful things about this new brewery in Beloit and couldn't wait to try it. Great bar, garage doors to the outdoor patio, tons of seating inside and out, location is off the beaten path but once they landscape the views will be incredible. Enjoyed a beer flight which was great, lots of different flavors. Had the cheese curds for an app? Which were extremely disappointing. Tasted frozen and soggy. Wouldn't order them again. For the entrée, i had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich with the fries and broccoli salad, sandwhich was Ok, fries were amazing, and the broccoli salad was refreshing. The service was extremely slow but maybe they were just short handed ?Overall i think with time this place will be a hit. Definitely worth trying ! read more

Definitely overrated! Beer is fair, customer service could be better. Servers are not as attentive. They don't check on your needs throughout the course of your meal. I will probably not be going back. A friend gave me a review of this spot but wanted to check it out for myself. read more

It seems for G5 that the old adage rings true...good help is hard to find. I have a lot to say about our visit but I'll keep it short. We waited 2 hours for our food after ordering and when I finally went to talk to the manager he said "what you don't want your food?" I said "no we're leaving, we've been waiting for 2 hours for our food". The manager turned and walked away without saying anything else. I think that says it all about the qualifications of the staff. read more

Delicious food, amazing environment, and friendly service. You wouldn't expect a restaurant/brewery of this caliber just outside of Janesville. Beautiful building and space. The outside patio wasn't quite ready but I can imagine it being a very popular hang out in the summer. My husband and I have large appetites so we shared a supreme pizza and burger. We couldn't finish the pizza. Everything very tasty; homemade ranch which is my favorite and the waffle fries were great. All sandwiches come with waffle fries and broccoli salad which is unique and great. Wide selection of G5 beers; bartenders were accompanying with samples. Will for sure be back! read more

G5 Brewery - Supreme pizza no olives with a side of ranch and beer. - Breweries Near Me - Beloit, Wisconsin

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE The only positive thing I can say about the service is our bartender was friendly/nice. She was EXTREMELY inattentive, zero efficiency. I had to ask for her attention constantly. If I needed a drink, order my dinner, order a second drink or order dessert--I had to ask her! She left for at least 15minutes without checking with us before she left, then when she finally came back, she didn't come talk to us. I once again had to grab her attention. She didn't apologize or anything. Not one other bar staff member checked on us the entire time, complete ignored until we had to call her over. The food was great! But the absolute terrible service means I probably won't back. Again, friendly staff for sure, but completely inexperienced and had no idea how to actually wait on people. They were more concerned with socializing then working for tips. read more

Went there last Sunday, and it started with no one waiting on us for quite sometime. Was told there was a table mix up, and we were fine with that even though it was very empty. Loved the atmosphere and the food was good. But be careful if you go in with a Craft Beer Passport book. She stamped the book for BOGO, but still charged us. Would love to give it a higher rating, but can't. read more

Terrible! We have gone dozens of times to have their beer. Our kids were with us and playing around (not even causing mischief) and not only were the owners rude to us, they told them to stay in their spot at our table (as their own grandchild freely toddled around inside their brewery). There are so many craft breweries that are family friendly that we will never be going back. Super unkind owners that would have had our business had they just been nice to our kids! read more

Bland and Boring. I was not impressed with my visit to G5. The decor is non-existent leaving a complete lack of character. I was hopeful our long wait meant the food was worth it, however, it was one of the most disappointing meals I have ever had. We started with drinks. My husband had a Ukulele James beer, he said it was meh. I had a Moscow mule... my standard drink when I go out. It was very bad. My husband was a bartender for 16 years and said there was something off about it as well. He wouldn't drink it either. The cheese curds tasted strange, mostly of oil and nothing else. They were pretty wet to the touch. My husband and I both ordered burgers, both were very overcooked and tasted like bland, dry charcoal briquettes. I had to ditch the brioche bun because it was so wet with butter or oil on top on it. We both ordered the truffle fries, my husband liked them, I did not. Again, all I tasted was oil. To me, they tasted exactly the same as the cheese curds. The service was mediocre, staff doesn't really seem to care. All and all I would give the place two big thumbs down. I would not recommend this place. read more

40 minutes ago Beer is still good out of some IPA's again so only 1 on the menu. The service and food has declined since last time which wasn't great before. Waited 20 minutes after we were seated until we had to ask a "manager" for waitstaff to help us. The entire experience we were given attitude by the waitstaff as if we were the problem for coming in for lunch. We complained to the "manager" and he took off the gross well-well done burger but offered nothing else except excuses and simple apologies. We will not waste our hard earned money here any longer and will visit other establishments that welcome their patrons treat them well and want them to come back. read more

Good food. Good brews. Good times. I've seen many negative reviews on here but you people have to use your noggins. This place has been open for just over a month. There will be some bumps along the road. The food and beer are top notch. The rest will come with time. Give them a break. read more

I love this place. The design of the building is amazing. The interior is really cool. The beer is outstanding and a great selection of beers. Our waitress was super friendly. Found this hidden gem on the way to Alpine Valley for DMB. It's super nice inside and out! The staff is super friendly and Brittany did a great job amplifying our experience with her 5 star service and 5 star attitude. Would recommend to a friend. Hopefully be back next year read more

Really great beer selection. Ordered portobello sandwich and it was very good. The staff really worked hard and incredibly helpful. You can tell this place is ran very well. G5 brewing is a truly cool and unique venue space! I had the privilege of shooting the first wedding to be hosted at this establishment. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful. G5's unique L layout allows guests to eat/socialize on one side and a dance floor/bar on the side. The venue has modern industrial Aesthetic with an exposed ceiling, stellar wood panel wall/stair case that makes for truly unique photo ops. This venue is extremely well lit and was very easy to capture stunning photos! We were even allowed in the brewery room at the end of the night giving my clients a truly unique selection of wedding photos! I am truly delighted to discover this hidden gem! Also, mention worthy, the bride and groom were able to custom design a signature craft beer for their special day!! If you have a smaller wedding or event coming up and are looking for a unique place to host your event, G5 is worth a look or 2!! 12/10 highly recommended! read more

We were a bit skeptical about going based on previous reviews. Let me tell you, this place is great! 1. The place is impeccably clean. 2. We each had flights. The beer was good. The kolsch was by far our favorite. 3. Our server was attentive. She wasn't warm and fuzzy, but that's ok. She was prompt with service. We were never left waiting for a drink. 4. We had the meat lovers pizzas. The thin crust was crispy and overall the pizza was delicious! We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The outside seating was large and had fire pits for cooler days/evenings. Inside it was spacious and had a variety of seating choices. Overall this place deserves more stars than their current Yelp reviews. read more

We went for the first time last weekend. We went for food not beer. Loved everything about the atmosphere and meal. We had three adults two children ( and a service dog) . I love when there's space to move around. The design was modern and pretty, even a nice window view. I imagine it's even prettier at night. We ordered 3 of the daily burger special, two types of soup and a broccoli salad , ane kids meals. Travel and dine out often, and I was happy with the experience. My son told us about the place . I rate the food really good. read more

First time here, and last time. I ordered a margarita with salt on the rim, when it got to the table there was sugar on the rim..... whatever. I took a sip of it and it was watered down and just did not taste good at all. I told the waitress and she apologized and asked if I wanted something else, so I ordered something else. She came back over and said, "the bartender said I have to still charge you for this because you took a sip out of it." Lol okay? I talked to the manager, and she was so rude. Her exact words were, "well just because you don't like something doesn't mean I'm taking it off your bill." WHAT? I've worked in the service industry for 5 years and anytime this has ever happened my manager apologizes right away and takes it off the bill, and offers something else. Terrible management, won't be returning. read more

This new spot has a very industrial, yet hip vibe to it! The waitress we had (totally forgot her name ) was just a super star. She was very attentive and was great at conversation! I had the chicken rice bowl with veggies for dinner. Everything looked so pretty and it was decent -however, after you get thru the top layer of seasonings/sauce, it was pretty bland. Had to request the waitress to bring us soy sauce so it can have flavor to it. Would come here again for the burgers next time because I hear those are great! read more

Unfortunately uneven in food quality. The IPA I like the most is only there sometimes. They have canning issues and have to can beer behind the bar. The only thing you can count on is that Hattie the bartender doesn't care for you. read more

The view from the parking lot overlooking mostly fields and just beautiful scenery is fantastic, almost makes you forget where you are. The inside is very clean and modern looking. The bartenders we had were really nice and had no problem talking to us about every single beer on the menu and if you want to try them all out, that was no problem. I had this one beer with strawberry rhubarb infused into it and it was phenomenal. I only had appetizers and they were all good as well but I can't comment on any of the meals there yet. If I had any complaint it would be that I wish the cocktails were a bit cheaper, its hard to put down $9-12 on ONE drink. read more
