Solid people and beers. The husband and wife duo I spoke with were gracious and knowledgeable. The labels and artwork remind me a bit of Small Town/Not Your Father's- but don't let that distract you and don't pass judgment before tasting. This is real beer for beer drinkers. I don't throw around the work Craftsman too often, but Craftsman they are. They take old world qualities and bring them to modern tastes. Off Kilter surpasses many of the small home town breweries in the Midwest with the thought and quality they bring to the glass. If you like Kenosha's Public Brewing, Milwaukee's Mobcraft, or Michigan's Vivant and Perrin you'll enjoy Off Kilter's offerings. I had the O Do Yah and One Eyed Jack. Both were great. We waited 20 minutes just to get water after being seated and were never given utensils. Throughout the night, we had no water half the time. Our server, Lindsey, never came to our table unless we flagged her down or her coworker literally had to "go find her." Multiple tables that sat after us were served and left before us, yet we were there for nearly two hours. One of the bills did include a 10% tip, so she was not completely stiffed. I tip well and honestly--never have I left a bill untipped, and it would have been well deserved--but Lindsey's poor service and disgusting attitude made it impossible. When she saw my untipped bill, she rolled her eyes at the table and walked away without saying anything--no "thank you" or "have a good night" to my friends who did tip. She then stopped us on the way out, blocked our path, questioned the tip, and became argumentative. Trying to shame customers for not leaving a "good enough" tip in front of other customers is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. To Lindsey: when a table has to wave you down and it still takes you 10 minutes, then you disappear for another 20, you won't get a tip--and it should NEVER be expected of anyone, especially with such a poor attitude as yours. I hate to say it but I am GLAD I didn't tip especially when you stopped us, I couldn't help but chuckle due to the audacity. Your service was unprofessional, and your attitude was disgusting. I've been going to this establishment for a while with no issues, even last week when it was busy, and the servers were attentive and kind.
