Quick stop here on our way to dinner and had a friendly chat with the owner who was a very welcoming ambassador to the area.

Love the family pulling no shots atmosphere. This place does 6oz pours for the flights! Loved the Cinnamon Red Ale and Blueberry Vanilla Cream Ale could be an IV drip, yum! Worth drive to have an experience in Wisconsin, did not disappoint! Thank you.

We were at another restaurant that did not have any Amber beers so they recommended that we try CheezHead. This is a nice little place with a good selection of beers. Diane and Kylla were very awesome, helpful and informative about the choices...we tried a small flight of their delicious beers. We understand that this was the owners brain child and we saw him but did not have the opportunity to talk to him. He was sitting at the bar area for a moment but he does seem to engage the customers, he may know the other regulars but we were definitely new to this place, for my opinion he needs to be a little more into socializing with the customers and to find everyone's opinion. We enjoy spreading the word and knowing about the history and the background so as an owner, don't miss an opportunity. Great little hidden gem for sure!

    The tapped beer selection.

This is our favorite place for smoked meat/bbq. They do it themselves; it's NOT some heated up meat smoked in bulk elsewhere. The beer is flavorful without being over powering. (all kinds). The atmosphere is casual and laid back. The baked beans and homemade baked potato salad are the best I've ever had along with the Jalapeno Corn bread. Great beer, delicious food on the weekends, and great hometown hospitality;. Try it!!!!!!!

It gets crowded because people around here know good beer it seems. Along with the beers is also a food menu. The prices are higher than the grubby bars in town, but for sure it matches the higher quality. Better get prepared for how hard it is to park here. It's got a parking lot but it's full often. This was crazy the last time we came here on a weekend. People around here know it's better beer than the crap they otherwise have. You may have to park on a street. Beers are pricier than average but they make smaller batches. It's about $8 a pint. Best of the ones we had was the Highland Hairy. This is a Belgian IPA. A pretty good amount of food. There's a ton of pizzas. Most food choices are meaty. There's also wings. A lot of big and messy items. It's about $7 for the Garden Salad. A pretty standard one with croutons. There's also salads covered in bacon, buffalo chicken, and other heavy stuff. Got to be one of the places to go if you're around here. It's really busy at times, and just park wherever if you can't get a spot. They're located on the east side of town, and closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

There were 4 of us in our party looking for some drinks and pizzas for supper. We knew it would be a wait for a table but there were a couple seats at the bar. Drinks were ordered and three bartenders made sure we got our drinks quickly and accurately. We figured it would be awhile before a table was ready so we ordered some Cheese curds. They got to us in record time and were crazy delicious. Note to self I would come again just for drinks and cheese curds. Our table was ready far quicker than we expected. More drinks and pizzas were ordered. A favorite was the gyros and the sausage pizza. We were not a fan of the goat cheese pizza. It's a flavor that isn't for everyone. Enjoyed our table by the fireplace. Left with a souvenir beer glass. Love their logo. We will be back when we are in the area again. Give this place a try for sure.

I had all the options! We ordered the Death Grip IPA and Briéekraut Oktoberfest, which we both loved. We started our meal with an order of nachos to start, and they were covered in a delicious nacho "cheese" and a a chili. My meal was the loaded Mac n Cheezy Bowl - which was so incredible (especially when you don't need to worry about the amount of dairy in it!!). My husband got the Grilled Cheeze Steak Tacos and really enjoyed them! The taco is made with a mini quesadilla as the shell with a delicious filling. Our server was extremely friendly, welcoming, and ensured a great experience. The restaurant definitely feels like a classic brewery with fun decorations and exposed brewing equipment, which is always awesome to see. Added plus is they have free Tesla charging for customers! (Possibly other electric car charging, but I didn't check) We will definitely be back!

I wish every small town in Wisconsin had a farm that was as lovingly transformed into a brewery as this one! There seems to always be something fun going on: a concert, a science talk, a festival, etc. I do think the beers need a little work though. The variety and creativity is definitely there, but the hoppy beers tasted a little oxidized and some of the sour fruit beers were a little over-the-top (more like a smoothie than a beer) for me. Some of the best brewery vibes around, definitely worth going out of your way to stop in!

The food menu is fairly limited with pizza and hot soft pretzels or cracker platters. While we waited for our pizza we snacked on some delicious dill pickle pretzel sticks. They had a number of flavors available for purchase. We had the meat lovers porker pizza. It didn't look like much when it arrived, but it had a thin layer of Canadian bacon under the cheese and pepperoni. The crust was thin and crispy and it had a great lightly smoked flavor; loved it. Bright clean facilities and friendly service. Great outdoor patio with a huge TV screen. Great for sports or music. Nice gift shop and plenty of parking. Had to take some 4 packs home!

They have a variety of options that span from fairly priced elevated "bar food" to gourmet dishes. The cheese curds came as cubes and were delicious! Super fun take on the traditional, and a must have for a bar in Wisconsin. For meals we got the hot honey chicken sandwich, tai chicken flatbread on cauliflower crust, lobster ravioli and DH burger! just passing through town, and as always, turned to Yelp. I would like to give 5 stars to bring up…read more the rating up because I think they're a 4.5 star restaurant. We were impressed by the Gray's root beer and ginger beer. Love them serving truly local brewed sodas. The root beer was a little vanilla heavy but I liked it because I don't like most root beer. The ginger brew was EXCELLENT, and I know my ginger beers. Now I have to find out where I can buy it. We consider ourselves calamari aficianados (self-proclained, of course.). We were stoked to try it based on all of the rave reviews. Alas, this is the dish that most drop the rating for us. The calamari pieces were very small, very tough and the batter blew off. Weirdly, it showed up so close to our ordering it that I wondered if something was wrong. Was the oil so hot that the usual cook time was now too long? We're they trying a new vendor and these very small pieces cooked WAY to fast. In any case, I suggest they relook at the quality control on that dish. Below I send a photo of all the batter that fell off in the serving dish. It was a nice sized order and tasted like very good rubbery, miniature calamari. My husband ordered the pork chop and it was delicious. It was so moist and I didn't know whether that was due to brining, sous vide, bone in, or just the best preparation I've ever had. And his plate was full of potatoes and brussel sprouts. Couldn't have been happier. I had the walleye (only on Fridays) and it was a beautiful, thick fillet cooked to perfection. The potatoes were delicious, albeit not as pesto as I expected. But skin on and purple potatoes showed me a commitment to quality ingredients. There was also a nice slaw on my plate. I like that their plates had a starch and a vegetable; kind of like the restaurant days of old. No nickel and diming the customer with ordering all your sides. Heck, skin on potatoes and the more-nutricious purple potatoes are like vegetables as well. Service was great and the restaurant was nice and warm despite it being a very cold day. That means a lot to me as an "older" customer We will definitely come back and even maybe try the calamari because our tiny ringlets and tentacles didn't look like any of photos I have seen.
