One waitress came and asked what we were eating since she thought it looked pretty good. Thought this place was great. Been here for lunch and dinner. Food was tasty and the place is beautiful. Can't wait to come back in the fall when the sun goes down and can admire the view. I wish there was a way that I couldn't even give a star for this place. I had gone in when it first opened and it was amazing so we decided to go back and try it again. We had a bigger group of people that we called ahead and let the staff know. They said it would be no problem so we got in and had to wait about an hour. We finally contacted the hostess requesting to speak to the manager who refused to speak to us. Another some minutes later we finally were able to be seated while we were cleaning off the tables to sit down. Half of our party had left at the time. The waitress had a very bad attitude along with the bartender at the time. And it really upset all of us that the manager refused to speak to any of us. I know that it is a new business and things are new but that's doesn't make up for the horrible attitudes. read more

Tried for the first time last week. Was a bit skeptical due to some reviews but decided to give it a try. Their were no empty tables so my hub and I sat at the bar. We shared the big pretzel- which was really good and split a rueben sandwich with truffle fries. The fries were to have Parmesan on them which I noticed was lacking but all else was good. Service was soo slow, food wait time was long , beer was ok. 95% of food was subpar, the only thing that was delicious was the $22 plate of beef short ribs on risotto. Had to flag down a busboy to have them find our waitress after waiting for 20 minutes after we got there to get service after several workers walked by and looked at us with no interest. Waitress had no knowledge of their beers or other drinks that they had. Great indoor space and patio. Hope their service doesn't kill the place. I usually like this place, but tonight was really unfortunate. At about 7:45 the staff started frenetically cleaning and delivered our check. Turns out they close at 8 - which our fault, we didn't realize! However, when at 7:55 they shut off some lights and then played Closing Time twice in a row our friends slammed their drinks and the other 5-6 tables did the same. Needless to say, there is a way to close graciously and a method which just feels rude, this was the latter. Overall, an unimpressive visit. read more

We had the worst service here last night. The wait wasn't too bad, but we were told that it could be 5 minutes to 1 hour which was odd. Once we were seated (at one of the high tops with 3 kids 4 and under...not very safe at all), it took a really long time for someone to even acknowledge us. Once we were waited on, we were ready to order so we ordered both appetizers and food. After a long wait we got our appetizers, but two hours after ordering our food, we still didn't have dinner. The waitress tried to tell us it was because we ordered the appetizers and when we tried to find the manager, he was none too polite and we were pretty much ignored. I am normally very forgiving with restaurants as I have worked in them myself, but this was ridiculous. If the management doesn't turn things around and start paying attention to their customers, and training their staff better, I can't imagine this place will fare well. read more

The hostesses and bartenders were very friendly. The beer seems to reflect the times, as it's too fruity and the hoppy beers taste like antibiotics. I like a hearty rich beer so perhaps I'm in the wrong region. The building as always is beautiful. Unfortunately, nothing seems to match the atmospheric allure of the fine building. We have not been here in over a year because the food was not good. Tonight we gave it a go. It's still the same old lackluster food. The wings? Bring bibs and ask to use the garden hose or better yet, ask for a cutting board and a butcher knife. The ideal so,Union would be to return the plate and ask the chef or cook to butcher the wings and put a little more crisp on them. But who wants the hassle? Sigh....Must I go on? Such a beautiful building with so much potential it hurts me to come here because this place could be great, but I don't think that's what they want to do here. I just won't be back. read more

Took the wife here on a Friday night. I ordered meat lovers pizza for the two of us, and she ordered a side salad. I've had a flight of five beers here before, and they were very good. The place was pretty crowded when we walked in. Our server, , was very friendly and attentive. Didn't take long from the time we sat for her to come and take our order. Came out with our drink order: Tastes Like Midnight and my wife's Peach Meranda. Dark stout, very tasty. About 15 minutes later, waitress apologized for the wait on food and explained that kitchen was backed up. I asked about wife's salad, she went to kitchen and brought it out to her. 5 minutes later, pizza came out. Cheese needed to be a bit more uniform as far as coverage of pizza was concerned, but tasted good. Wood fired. Overall, just some minor glitches I attribute to having not been open long, but definitely worth coming back to. Great food and brews. read more

Great location and beautiful brewery. Friends and family were very excited about going to dinner at our new restaurant in Beloit. The lighting in the building is almost that of the cafeteria very bright and distracting. The staff was friendly but very confusing.Our server offered us different choices and steered us away from some choices that were less appealing and had been criticized by other customersThe food came out mixed first two entrées came out and then our entrée came out late . The quality of food was very poor, tasted like something out of a premade or pre-mixed box of low-quality. We had four entrées and two drinks and our bill was over $100, very disappointed for the quality of food would have been very happy to pay over $100 for the meals if the quality would've been at the same par. If the management does not change or up the menu to a higher quality, this will be a short-lived restaurant in the Beloit area. The quality of the food has to improve along with education for the staff. I am hopeful that these are just mistakes because of the newness of the business and changes are coming soon. read more

My wife and I wanted to experience the new brewery. We gave them them some time to get established and get the kinks worked out before going. G5 has a nice modern atmosphere and a great outdoor setting. However, they specialize in IPAs. Since we normally do not care for IPAs, we bought a flight for trial and we did not care for any of the beers in the flight. We both had burgers, one well done and the other medium. Both were very tough and dry. They need better burger or a better cook. Food prices are on the high side. We do not plan to return. read more
