Having a resource like Langley with a wealth of experience and a willingness to share his knowledge is invaluable for guitar enthusiasts!

Not only is he incredibly…read moreknowledgeable about music and instruments, but he is also a gifted artist and a genuinely kind human being who treats everyone with respect and integrity. He is someone you can completely trust. His shop is fascinating, but what truly makes it magical is the passion he pours into his work. Whether he's crafting instruments, carefully helping you choose the perfect one, repairing a beloved piece, or patiently answering a thousand questions from an 8-year-old, his dedication and love for music shine through. Places like this are rare. We came to pick up a violin for my daughter, and thanks to this wonderful experience, she continues to love playing. A poor instrument can discourage a child from learning, but a good instrument can inspire confidence and a lifelong passion for music. I feel so grateful for the opportunity to support his business, and I truly hope more musicians will visit to see his amazing work and show their support. Don't order your instrument from Amazon -- go see Mr. Jordan first. You won't regret it!

I came across Jordan Music on Yelp and gave John a call. He explained how he would work the damage with Superglue in layers and go from there. It wasn't a sales pitch, it was like he was running the process through his mind, recollecting how he would do it. John works out of his garage, so don't be put off if you're expecting a showroom. I was a little worried when I left the guitar with him but that went away when I picked up the finished work. I could not be happier with the results! The price was very reasonable AND he adjusted the pick ups on my Stratocaster while I waited.

They also have a great set of studios for lessons, and a performance space. He had my ukulele fixed in less than two minutes and didn't even charge me! Now that's what I call GREAT customer service! I will be returning for my future musical needs. The owner, Stevie, is someone who can give you a lot of feedback and great advice. He's also so down to earth even though he's a great concert guitarist himself. (I've never taken lessons from him, but I'm tempted to when I have more time!) Imagine the best environment for a high end guitar shop possible. It would be nice low lighting, great places to sit, a single room with lots of fine guitars hanging/easily accessible, and no bother whatsoever from others. Stevie helps and supports, but never pushes. Other guests/visitors are great people and I've met some awesome people here like Jay Howlett, famed for his stash of "The Tree" guitar backs and sides. Nothing like a superstore (Guitar Center anyone?). Low pressure to sell except for the sheer greatness of the guitar tones. No one is here to impress or lounge around. It's a great community, people are respectful, and even when it's crowded, there is the auditorium in back to use. That's Mighty Fine Guitars in a nutshell. Stevie allows people to take guitars on "sleepover" to see if they're a great fit. He listens to how you play and can make recommendations if you want them. I love working with him. He makes time even when he's really busy like setting up for one of his very awesome Friday night concerts. (great guitarists visit regularly!) I have nothing bad to say and have played guitars from Ryan, Applegate, Langejans, Doerr, Leach, Hamblin, Michaud, Lowden, Yamamoto, and Fujii, to name a few, here. My favorite place to burn an afternoon bar none. Disclaimer: Stevie does has vintage instruments, but the ones here do tend toward modern fingerstyle.
