UPDATE: 24 OCT 2025…read more You won't regret working with Avalos Concrete LLC! Joel was fantastic--easy to communicate with and extremely knowledgeable. He even used his network to secure a great deal on asphalt to finish the driveway leading to my garage pad. Erick and his crew were just as impressive. They worked efficiently, paid close attention to detail, and made sure everything was done right. I'm incredibly grateful to Joel for coordinating everything seamlessly and communicating clearly with Erick about exactly what was needed. The entire job went smoothly from start to finish, and you won't find a better deal or quote anywhere else. Huge thank-you to both Joel and Erick for their excellent work and professionalism. Highly recommend! ------------------------------------------- Joel and his team from Avalos Concrete delivered exceptional workmanship from start to finish. They ensured the project fully met Carroll County requirements and even improved the overall appearance beyond its original condition. Communication with Joel was excellent -- he was responsive, transparent, and easy to work with throughout the process. He was upfront and honest about his pricing, and unlike others, he personally came out to take precise measurements before providing an estimate. His professionalism, attention to detail, and strong work ethic truly set him apart. I highly recommend Avalos Concrete for anyone seeking quality work, integrity, and reliability in a concrete contractor.

Avoid This Contractor - Untrustworthy and poor workmanship- doesn't finish work after payment!!!!!!…read more I strongly caution anyone considering working with Frank(owner of the company)My experience with him has been deeply disappointing and costly. Initially, he seemed professional--responsive and quick to begin demolition and early stages of construction. However, once I made the second payment, everything changed. I signed a contract for a $70,000 project and paid him $36,000. After completing only about 10% of the work, he abruptly abandoned the job. He blamed delays on permitting issues, but I checked with the county and in reality, he failed to pay the architect and did not properly follow up with the county. Despite my repeated attempts to work with him--even offering to shift the funds to a different project--he remained unresponsive. One of the key reasons I hired Frank was because he claimed to be a licensed contractor. Yet, he never provided his MHIC license number or proof of insurance. I had to contact the state myself to verify his license and ultimately file a formal complaint with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC). He left us with unfinished and poorly executed work--flooring, siding, and roofing were all incomplete or substandard. Please protect yourself, your home, and your finances. I'm willing to share documentation or further details with anyone who is considering hiring him. I'm posting this in hopes of preventing others from going through the same experience. I can be reached at rozinaye1@gmail.com. Avoid this company- Frank is a fraud!

One year ago today, 9/26/2024, this company demo-ed my sidewalk and left it for over a week…read more Yesterday I noticed the new sidewalk is starting to crack. Working with this group was very aggravating. They were slow to respond and did not complete the work in a timely manner. I had to call multiple times to get them to return and continue work. At the time I had a broken foot and had to navigate through the mess. They finally completed the work on October 19th, 2024. The original person who booked the work was unreachable for most of the time and someone who claimed to be his brother was extremely rude with each contact. One year later, the sidewalk is cracking. I have left a message for them and am waiting for a return call. Based on the reviews and their past track record wonder if I'll hear from them?

We work with master gardeners and designers so we don't generally hire LJ for landscaping. The total paid to LJ including labor and supplies was approx $30,000.
