Heads up! They close at 8pm during the week! The hours are not updated!…read more I drove down here which was over an hour away from Fort Meade to pick up an order that no other store closer to me had. I really wanted this item but how horrible to arrive to the store only to find out it was closed. My confirmation email and their phone recording message states they're open until 9:00 p.m. I later found out as if it wasn't obvious, the message was not updated so I had to drive back home. Over a 3-hour drive and did not receive my order. The next day I called customer service to explain what had happened and the first response I received was I could go back to pick it up. Are you kidding me? I already know that but seeing how I already spent three hours of my time the night prior trying to pick it up, that does not suffice me. After my customer service representative spoke with the store on the phone who agreed to hold the item for me until I could come pick it up, I still was not satisfied. How was this helping me? I had to suggest it being shipped to me. I then realized my customer service representative wasn't too bright. When they got back from hold speaking with the store they informed me that the store cannot personally ship it. So I had to ask my representative if they could ship it from their warehouse or wherever. The representative finally looked and saw there wete no more available. They were completely sold out as well. Now I had no choice but to go down to the store to pick up my item. Why all this hassle over an item? This was the only original I could find after searching the internet for 2 weeks. I let my customer service representative know this was still not okay and I wanted to be compensated for my time and gas. They had to speak with their manager who agreed to give me a $10 gift card towards my purchase. Since I had no other option to purchase an original anywhere else, I decided to go ahead and make the drive back down to pick up the item. We did learn since it was sold out everywhere else the price had decreased again and my item would end up being pretty much free. Experiencing rush hour traffic this time, convincing my son to drive, and using my EZ pass, we finally arrived again at the mall to pick up the item. I'm able to walk into the store this time because they are open and notice they do have a good selection of Harry Potter items that I couldn't help looking at but had to put down because they were a little expensive. Very unique but a little expensive no less. I go to the counter to pick up my order and when the cashier retrieves it and puts it on the table I am in shock and disbelief! The item I ordered was not what was pictured on line as the original but a version I could have purchased anywhere else. I could not believe it! Of course there was nothing that they could do, although she did confirm this you was the same as my order number. I did show her the picture online of the item and how it did not match the picture I had but of course there was nothing else she could do. Wow! I took the item and my son and I roamed around the mall to await the traffic. When we finally left it was raining and of course that meant even more traffic for our drive back home. This was a catastrophic experience. Yes it definitely could be worse but is that what we want to tell ourselves as consumers when we purchase an item we've searched for and already had difficulty obtaining? No!

The store is interesting in the aspect that it is divided into two section with stairs. A lot of confusion could go on with that. I went to the fiction section because that is where I figured the book series would be. However, it was not. My next venture was to go to the Young Adult section to search. I just wasn't finding it. I made my way to the register to find someone to help. Because I didn't see anyone on the floor that looked like they worked there. When I told them what I was looking for, and I was specific here with it being a series, they proceeded to take me to the section to a single book. I was like, yeah, great. I had to act like I was appreciative that they brought me to a single book and not the series. When I asked about the series again I was finally told they didn't have the complete series. They basically wasted both of our time by taking a journey to a section that didn't have what I wanted. I can see why so many of these are closing up shop.

My curious skepticism disappeared as soon as I walked into the collectibles section, heard a smart new-ish groove playing from the speakers and started thumbing through an amazing array of curated vinyl of all kinds on sale. I pulled a few items from the bargain collection that I figured had to be in lesser condition: 1. Because of their relatively discounted price 2. Because the gentleman working at checkout forewarned me That said all the titles I found were worth the risk. I even found a laser disc of Purple Rain (a heck of a collectible for a super fan like me) That same gentleman quickly taught me 2 things to look for in evaluating vinyl that I didn't know before. (Wish I knew his name. He gave me a card that I presumed had his name on it, but doesn't). The best part? Getting home and expecting to have damaged, static laden vinyl that occasionally skipped BUT getting the opposite! The original album covers and inner sleeves may not have been mint condition, but they were as clean, intact & more meticulously organized than pieces I've paid much more for in the past. Even the imperfect sections of wax were playable. I can't stress how well kept the used vinyl that I purchased were! The folks in this shop must have a keen eye & ear for quality. I'm definitely coming back

I would try putting a tall stick in the ground from time to time to alert people; they eventually get taken by kids or weather knocks them over.] Looking forward to leaving at the end of our lease. Maintenance was good at the beginning and then they tapered off. Sometimes they don't show up and mark work as completed. Other times they come and the problem persists. Overpaying for living in Hoodbridge. This community up on a hill tucked away feels safe enough but I don't like living next to Bayvue (notoriously unsafe) or in this town. Dumfries or Lorton closeby feels safer for anyone moving to the area. Office staff gets 4 stars. Almost always wonderful. Chris is always helpful, pleasant, and sweet. Owners gets 1 stars. Maintenance used to be prompt but never efficient. Appear to need more training and/or money approval from owner? 2 stars for maintenance. By the way? They delete honest negative Google reviews. It appears Yelp has a better handle on them not doing that. But another reviewer pointed out that they are changing their address in Google (and I see on Yelp!) to try to trick people into believing a higher review. My review just changed from 2 stars to 1 star. You made it worse, Potomac Vista. Now you lost my trust and those who read the honest reviews. Btw, I'm a sweet person who doesn't write negative reviews often. So just know this is not someone angry who was irresponsible. I'm educated, in my 30s, and have lived at many apartment complexes. This one was the worst. Coming from Fairchase Apartments in Fairfax, it was night and day. That place knows how to run an apartment complex.

She never once would call back. It took maintenance two weeks to fix a pouring leak which caused black mold, they painted over the mold, I got sick. Tried to end my lease due to getting out of the Marine Corps, heard nothing back so we had to stay and cancel our plans of moving out of state. Fast forward to the end of our lease. I got an instant response when I said we will be moving, they were very rude then stopped responding and then said we never told them when we'd be moving so we have to pay the whole next months rent after moving out. I sent them this email and they completely ignored it and continue to ignore it: "For our move out date, it is the 29th of December. I genuinely can not live here any longer than that. I do not feel safe living here for myself or my dogs. I want to start by saying my dogs are registered as Emotional Support Animals for a reason, I have anxiety and PTSD which have gotten worse from this all. My dogs now also need anxiety medication. I have been harassed, threatened to "get the shit beat out of me" and threatened to be ran over by this woman getting way too close to me and my dog while revving her car hysterically laughing with her friend, speaking about my dogs dying, getting screamed at saying I'm stalking them just for moving my car away from them because they purposely park too close so I can't get in my car, followed when walking our dogs and getting barked at as if they want our dogs to react and do something to them but they are good dogs, ding dong ditching (the father told me the kids were doing it to the other people who lived here before us so it's nothing new I'm just the only one to speak up, the mom and her friends joined in with the kids because I asked them to stop), trash left at our door, packages being kicked around, scaring my dogs while we are not home, car vandalized, comments about me speaking Spanish to one of my dogs when it's the only language he knows, our whole apartment would smell like hookah and weed even all the way into the bedroom. This all is from the same family, no one else. It started in March and still continues. I brought it to the leasing offices attention in June when it started to get worse. I would call and every time get told "the manager is in a meeting and will call you back" but never once got a call back. I sent videos and pictures. I still have those and even more now, which I took for mine and my dogs safety. It has gotten to the point where I need to walk my dogs with pepper spray just in case they come outside and start something. The only time they don't do anything is when my husband is home. I got a ring camera and they walk by calling me disgusting names and flipping the camera off, even the kids do it. They walk around here like they own the place, bragging they have lived here three years as if it excuses their behavior, the kids forcefully kicking the door open to go outside every single day, screaming at all hours. I really just hope whoever lives here next does not experience what we have. It has affected us and our dogs mentally and emotionally."

After a week, I realized that the clerk grabbed me the wrong book so I needed to return it. I ended up going to the Alexandria to buy the correct book and I bought another book. The day after, I found out that I had to return all three books. The wrong one, the right one and the second one I bought in Alexandria. When I went to the Woodbridge bookstore and told them that I needed to return the books, Megan (I supposed the manager) worked with me and asked for my schedule and proof I dropped the class. I didn't drop the class, I just needed to return the books! Megan told me that it wasn't possible for me to return the books because I hadn't dropped the class. I wasn't sure why this was but I explained that one of the books was sold to me incorrectly and the third book was only a day old and I needed to return it for financial reasons. She continued to tell me that I couldn't return the books. I told her that I bought them the day before and I don't see why I couldn't return them. She then told me that I had to go to Alexandria to return them and they can't return it here. I asked her why and if they all used the same system. She finally signed and said, "I'll return them here but I'm not sure if it will completely go through but I will try." After I got the incorrect book and the new book finally returned, she said that I didn't need to return the correct book because I was in the class. I told her that I needed to return it for financial reasons and I found it cheaper online and she told me that it was completely impossible to return it because it was out of policy and that just because it's cheaper online, I shouldn't return it. I knew that the policy stated that I had three weeks to return a book so I asked Megan to show me where in the policy it stated it. After I asked this, she let out a loud sigh and exclaimed, "FINE, YOU CAN RETURN IT!" I have never had an experience like this at any store. I understand that taking a large return is negative for the store, but please do not lie to your customers about the policy. The policy is in place to keep everything fair. I will NEVER buy another book at the NVCC Woodbridge Bookstore.
