I wanted to give it some time :-) It's an open layout and generally easy to find what you're looking for if you go by category (produce, grocery, frozen, etc.) Many of the popular health brands that you might shop at competitor stores (i.e. Whole Foods) can be found here, so that is helpful. I did see some items on shelves that were out of date but that didn't seem to be a widespread issue. There are many self-checkout registers, so that helps with the speed of checkout. I haven't needed assistance but there are employees around to ask if you need to. This is a good stop to have in the area for some of the health/organic brands. Overall, it's a 3.5 but rounding up due to convenience and ease of shopping flow.

And yes I'm cheap and yes I'd rather the money go to the present, so yeah I put them down in hopes of finding better cards and a great value. At any rate, I walked through some of the aisles and I was really hungry and gravitated toward the chip aisle. I really wanted some kettle barbecue chips and/or Pringles but I felt I wanted to be a little healthy so I opted to get pork rinds because of the low carb aspect. But then I found some chocolate with some almonds and had to have wandered down the halls and got a strainer as well. The store is comparable to the other dollar generals I have visited in the area. I felt service was a little slow but overall not a bad place to find some good ole cheap snacks:)

We were in a long line and were the next people when an attendant called that lane 5 was open for the next customer which were. We headed to the line and some lady who was just standing around the register pulling items off the rack next to the register. I watched her for about 5 minutes and she was just standing there like she was purposely waiting for that register to open. AS soon as the attendant opened the register she grabbed her cart and headed straight in. To me it was like she had been told that the register was going to be open. I hate to throw out the race card but it seemed to that this is what was going on. We took our cart and left it loaded in the center of the aisle and left the store.

I went to checkout and my basket was so heavy and in full y anticipated having to just struggle until it was my turn for checkout because usually Dollar Tree will have only one checkout open (unfortunately and annoyingly !!) but an employee saw me and opened up a line for me which I was pleasantly surprised! He greeted me and we joked a little about my partner living like a bachelor and he wrapped my items very neatly to protect them. I honestly don't know why I go to any other dollar tree. If you are familiar with the Southern Maryland (Waldorf) area, you will find this store where Toys r Us use to be. Years ago the DMV had a few Eurocentric furniture stores such as SCAN and StoreHouse. Unfortunately, these stores closed their doors for good in the early 2000s. Luckily, we now have a rebirth of this awesome euro style furniture in our backyard. There was so much to consider, I need another visit to truly separate my wants and needs. Upon entry, I was greeted by a nice sales person (Nadia). She gave me information then allowed me to shop in peace. Please ask for Nadia during your visit. I've attached several photos to give you a visual of how unique their furniture options are when compared to other stores. I later reached back out to Nadia to discuss an art piece that I wanted to purchase. She set everything up and even informed me of an imminent holiday sale (nice)! Thanks Nadia!

I also thought that going to Walmart, Target and the others would be sufficient in this realm since they look like they fit in there, which is still true.... except when it isn't because Big Lots sells some unique stuff I've found. From foodstuffs to lawn furniture... it's in here. I found Faygo sodas, for example, a couple weeks ago. Two weeks prior to that I found Fanta pina colada. I've since seen it in a couple other stores but it was still a unique find at the time. Good prices to boot. Big Lots is alright by me.

Full of attitude and unwillingness to help…read more I received a text from this pharmacy saying they're contacting my doctor for alt medicine since insurance does not cover this. I decided to call and ask the price in case I could just purchase it without insurance....an extremely common pharmacy question. I had to hear huffs and puffs and sit on hold for 20+ minutes just to find the cost. The pharmacy tech said she didn't know the price and couldn't figure it out. I asked her what should I do, I mean it sure isn't free and she says "I dunno". Wow, awesome when I'm battling Crohns and need medication. I said okay what if I said go ahead and fill it, surely you'd figure out the price then. She gave up and put me on hold. Finally a pharmacist gets on the phone and says "it's expensive" Excuse me? That's for me to decide, tell me the price! She said alright it's $800+ as if she was happy to prove to me it's too expensive. Indeed it was too expensive but why'd I have to hear that from her? Her job is to inform me not tell me what I can/can't afford especially when I'm already sick and mad at insurance for not filling what my doctor suggest. I nicely suggested she train the lab tech about finding cost I wasted 20+ minutes with and she didn't say anything. I say hello thinking I got hung up on but nope, she just didn't care for my suggestion. She said alright and hung up on me. God forbid employees are properly trained for a very common pharmacy question. Anyway after this prescription is worked out I'll just switch to a nicer pharmacy without lazy employees
