I have been stalking Breezy'z IG page, cause the clothes that are posted are dope. Well...once I…read morerealized it's location, I realized that I had to go and check this place out. So Waldorf is near my hometown, happy for me I just happened to be home for the week, so time to venture on out. First things first, the address alludes to the fact that it is located someplace else, I mean I went the wrong way initially. Breezy'z is located in the St. Charles Towne Plaza which is the Plaza across from the mall. It is towards the back of the plaza, I can't say it is that easy to spot, the signage is a fair size. Now the boutique....chilllle. I love it! A quaint space that is so inviting with beautiful colors, and chill music. I liked the clothing selections, and they happened to carry one of my favorite boutique brands. The price point was resonable. My only gripe was that there weren't too many of my size. My hips don't lie, and unfortunately most of the larger sizes were already gone. D'oh! The good thing is that you can order from the website. Take advantage folks! The staff are cool and helpful when needed. Whenever I'm home, I'll stop on by.

It had surprised me when the hours of the store were 1 - 7 pm Tuesday through Saturday. I felt these hours were so limiting for typical retail traffic. My friend and I came from a nearby county and drove 45 minutes to visit the store. We got there at 1:55pm and the store was closed. We saw they have now changed their hours to 2-7 pm. The day was a Friday and we waited until 2:15 and no one ever showed up. We left very disappointed. There was no sign on the door that they were going to be closed on this Friday. It was not a holiday. As responsible business owners they should have had a sign if they were not going to open on a normal work day. They had a little sign with the clock saying they will be back at 2:00.

What stood out most was the selection of cookware, most in really good condition. The displays were thoughtfully put together and added a nice touch. Some of the prices were a bit high, but I saw that they offer discounts on specific days. They also have self checkout , which surprised me, but staff was also nearby in case assistance was needed.

I continue to be impressed with 2nd Ave. thrift superstores as I've been to a few. So they get four stars for that. 2) selection: the store was well stocked, and I found a few things I was looking for and a few things I wasn't but realize I needed 3) size: I called is a superstore, but compared to the store tomorrow it's about half the size. It wasn't as small as some of the Goodwills but I don't know that I would call it a superstore. 4) prices: as 2nd Ave. always does. There are two colors that were 50% off so if you can find those you'll get some great deals. Otherwise the prices were decent. It seems as though many thrift stores have raised their prices, but I wouldn't say the prices were outrageous or unreasonable. 5) location: it was relatively easy to find, and had a sufficient amount of parking. 6) service: I appreciate the self check out that they offer. And the staff was responsive and helpful when I was looking for a couple of items in the store. Overall, this is absolutely worth a stop, and I will likely be back.

Just had a great little shopping moment at Ella-Rue, a consignment boutique in DC that's definitely…read moreworth knowing about if you're into designer pieces without the full-price guilt trip. The edit is solid -- everything from Hermes (yes, I spotted a pair of immaculate riding boots, sadly not my size) to The Row, Prada, Chanel... even some more accessible gems from brands like Mansur Gavriel. I lucked out and found a pair of Prada Monolith loafers that are still available in-store at full price -- except mine were half the cost and looked like they'd maybe been worn once. Maybe. Such a good score, plus I got to support a small business, which always feels better than buying direct from some corporate mega-retailer. And shout out to Julia, who works there -- she was fantastic. Super helpful, super knowledgeable, and when the right shoe went missing (yes, really), she helped me tear the place apart to find it. I had almost given up, but then I spotted a Prada box... and there it was. Victory. All in all: great range, well-curated, and the kind of place where you just might walk out with a designer piece you didn't even know you needed. Definitely one to add to your DC shopping circuit.

Not only was the staff lovely and welcoming - the glass of wine offered was such a nice touch - they were incredibly helpful as well in finding me a gorgeous red Armani dress at a fantastic price. It only gets better! One of the employees (Krista) noticed that there was a small fix that needed to be done on the shoulder. Before I could even blink she had a seamstress in from a local shop, who came and got the dress to repair on their dime. I honestly didn't notice the issue until Krista pointed it out, she's got an eagle eye. Krista was amazing at coordinating the dress pickup a few days later. I couldn't get out of calls from work so she got the dress delivered to me! I cannot get over how amazing they are, and will ALWAYS recommend Ella Rue. Consider me a customer for life!

I somehow ended up down in this area and decided to stop at as many thrift and antique stores as I could. This one was a bit confusing for me (parking wise). I wasn't sure where I was to park, as the small lot next to it was full and I didn't think I was allowed to go around the back. I ended up parking across the street at a closed business and walked over here. When I approached the front of the business heading to the door I was greeted by one of the employees. I usually hate having to make small talk and will try to go out of my way to avoid it, but it came easily with this employee. She was pleasant and we spoke about the weather and what not. Once inside, I completely lost track of what I was here to look for. See, when they have cats up for adoption, I just don't remember a damn thing. What was fun was the cats wondering about in the space. It was so distracting (in a good way) to have them rubbing up against you demanding pets. I interacted with the cats more than I browsed. When I did browse, I found that they have a good mix of items and definitely warrants a revisit. But on this visit, I didn't find what I was looking for.
