Extremely Disappointing Experience -- Buyer Beware…read more I am extremely disappointed by my experience at Vision Christian Store. What should have been a simple return turned into an unnecessarily unpleasant interaction with the owner. The most frustrating part is that the store did not honor its own return policy as it was clearly printed on my receipt. I relied on the policy provided by the business when making my purchase, only to be told something completely different when I attempted to return a pair of gloves. If a business chooses to print a return policy on its receipt, customers should reasonably be able to expect that policy to be honored and all exclusions to be included in the receipt. Rather than handling the situation professionally, the owner (Robert) was rude, dismissive, and argumentative. He made it seem like he couldn't afford to perform the return. To make matters worse, he complained about how as a brick and mortar store, it was difficult for the store to compete with online retailers. I found that particularly ironic considering that the item I was attempting to return had actually been purchased from a beauty supply store, not an online retailer. He even advised that I go there instead. As a small business, I understand that competing with larger retailers can be challenging. But blaming customers or becoming confrontational when they simply expect you to follow your own stated return policy is not the way to build customer loyalty. I was able to find two pair of gloves for the price of one. Who wouldn't attempt to return the originals Being a Christian bookstore makes the experience even more disappointing. Customers should not have to wonder whether they will be treated with basic courtesy, honesty, and respect when they walk through the door. I would strongly encourage the owner to review the store's return policy, make sure employees and management are following it consistently, and reconsider how customers are treated when they raise a legitimate concern. Or better yet include the specific items on the receipt that are not eligible for return or place signage in the area so there are no questions: I will not be returning, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend this business. A business cannot expect customers to support it while simultaneously refusing to honor the policies it gives those same customers in writing.

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A FUN DATE NIGHT, BACHELORETTE ACTIVITY, BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION, WORKPLACE…read moreOUTING, OR JUST A FUN ACTIVITY THIS IS A PHENOMENAL PLACE! I was informed that there was a recent change in management and honestly under the new manager we had 10/10 Service! I made a reservation for 3 for 12pm. The class was about 9 of us total. We came in a little late but Sammy and Morgan made us feel so welcome and really took the time to help each of us, as well as provided a fun environment. Sammy provided great recommendations for all of our candles scents to help us really be content with them! Morgan was speedy with helping provide us all the candle materials we needed and was also very engaging! The space was clean and they had lots of choices for scents and colors, Sammy and Morgan were also committed to making sure that you were happy with your candle. There were lots of different options and different prices but they take part of the pricing of the candles out from the deposit you make for the class. (Lowest candle price $27, highest $45) Located conveniently on Kings Street so while you wait for your AMAZING candle to set you're in the heart of Old Town Alexandria so you can explore and get some good food while you wait (approximately 3 hours of cool time) If you don't want to wait that day you can pick up your candles for up to 60 days after! My family and I decided we will be making this an annual outing! If you're the owner of this place, these girls deserve a raise!

Ceramic was $38, mason jar / glass was $25-$35 depending on size. You could customize the color and add up to 4 scents. The class was nice, there was music and instruction but also time to jus chat with your group. It took about 40 minutes. My class was at 4 and I came back at 6:30 to pick up my candle. It wasn't fully dry yet but they allowed me to pick it up so I didn't have to drive back later. Overall, I felt the experience was nice, maybe a little pricey but a fun experience!

Things Remembered Waldorf, MD St. Charles Mall. I've used…read moreThings Remembered 5 years straight to have a the plaque engraved with the name of the winner of a Fantasy Football league. Never had a problem with customer service or the engravings that were done for those 5 years. However this past Saturday was really something that caught me off-guard. 1) We entered the store and waited 5 minutes to be acknowledged as a customer. 2) The store associate Michelle did finally walked over to the counter turned her back to us and started engraving some other item that has been sitting on or near the engraving machine since we entered the store. Again no acknowledgement that we existed. 3) When we were finally acknowledge with a pleasant "Hello, what can i do for you today", I presented the plaque with a request to have it engraved. Her response after a quick glance was "No we cannot engrave this thing". I told her it was done here for the past 5 years. "Here at this store?". "Yes, here at this store". REDFLAGS and siren should have gone off then. "OK, the font is Times and I'll get another engraver to do the engraving. We will call you in 24hrs when its done". 4) The phone rang in middle of discussing the work to be done, and Michelle took the call and told us the customer standing right in front of her, "Please hold-on". I stood there, surprised as i waited for Michelle to finish talking to the person on the phone. Results. Never received a phone call, the font was wrong, the size of the font was larger than the other engravings (Yes we did request the fonts and size to match the other engravings). And to top it off the engraving was crooked. DISAPPOINTED. with the customer service, Disappointed with the end result. Disappointed.
