I went here to visit this store however, it was closed. There is a sign on the door (in Spanish) that says if door is closed, please call. There are no visible stores hours posted so you're showing up at your own risk. It's a small quaint store, I could only view the products through the window. As the door was not only closed, it was locked. Upon calling the number, a Spanish speaking gentleman picked up. I asked him how he was doing and what were the store hours. He informed me that he will be open tomorrow and hung up. Needless to say, I won't be back and have doing another store for my needs. So good luck if you decide to visit here. I really wanted this item but how horrible to arrive to the store only to find out it was closed. My confirmation email and their phone recording message states they're open until 9:00 p.m. I later found out as if it wasn't obvious, the message was not updated so I had to drive back home. Over a 3-hour drive and did not receive my order. The next day I called customer service to explain what had happened and the first response I received was I could go back to pick it up. Are you kidding me? I already know that but seeing how I already spent three hours of my time the night prior trying to pick it up, that does not suffice me. After my customer service representative spoke with the store on the phone who agreed to hold the item for me until I could come pick it up, I still was not satisfied. How was this helping me? I had to suggest it being shipped to me. I then realized my customer service representative wasn't too bright. When they got back from hold speaking with the store they informed me that the store cannot personally ship it. So I had to ask my representative if they could ship it from their warehouse or wherever. The representative finally looked and saw there wete no more available. They were completely sold out as well. Now I had no choice but to go down to the store to pick up my item. Why all this hassle over an item? This was the only original I could find after searching the internet for 2 weeks. I let my customer service representative know this was still not okay and I wanted to be compensated for my time and gas. They had to speak with their manager who agreed to give me a $10 gift card towards my purchase. Since I had no other option to purchase an original anywhere else, I decided to go ahead and make the drive back down to pick up the item. We did learn since it was sold out everywhere else the price had decreased again and my item would end up being pretty much free. Experiencing rush hour traffic this time, convincing my son to drive, and using my EZ pass, we finally arrived again at the mall to pick up the item. I'm able to walk into the store this time because they are open and notice they do have a good selection of Harry Potter items that I couldn't help looking at but had to put down because they were a little expensive. Very unique but a little expensive no less. I go to the counter to pick up my order and when the cashier retrieves it and puts it on the table I am in shock and disbelief! The item I ordered was not what was pictured on line as the original but a version I could have purchased anywhere else. I could not believe it! Of course there was nothing that they could do, although she did confirm this you was the same as my order number. I did show her the picture online of the item and how it did not match the picture I had but of course there was nothing else she could do. Wow! I took the item and my son and I roamed around the mall to await the traffic. When we finally left it was raining and of course that meant even more traffic for our drive back home. This was a catastrophic experience. Yes it definitely could be worse but is that what we want to tell ourselves as consumers when we purchase an item we've searched for and already had difficulty obtaining? No!

The store is interesting in the aspect that it is divided into two section with stairs. A lot of confusion could go on with that. I went to the fiction section because that is where I figured the book series would be. However, it was not. My next venture was to go to the Young Adult section to search. I just wasn't finding it. I made my way to the register to find someone to help. Because I didn't see anyone on the floor that looked like they worked there. When I told them what I was looking for, and I was specific here with it being a series, they proceeded to take me to the section to a single book. I was like, yeah, great. I had to act like I was appreciative that they brought me to a single book and not the series. When I asked about the series again I was finally told they didn't have the complete series. They basically wasted both of our time by taking a journey to a section that didn't have what I wanted. I can see why so many of these are closing up shop.

You need to be wary of if the store is attending an anime convention, as they visit major conventions across the country and take almost all of their manga supply with them. I would suggest checking in with the store before going and getting unlucky with all their manga being gone. (It's happened to me before lol) I will say the help isn't the best at times, as they frequently do sorting and rearranging of inventory, but when not busy, all of the staff are very nice and will helpfully explain anything to you!! The location is a little uncomfortable, but it's not too bad and there is a really good restaurant next door! Also need to clarify: they don't only sell manga, they have a large variety of things like anime merchandise, art books, cds and dvds, posters, plushies, and lots of gaming/ trading cards!

This shop is just an organized scalper. They recently visited a Bandai store and structured a…read morepurchase there to circumvent buy limits and gather a large amount of One Piece product only to put it on their own shelves at a lower quality (Bandai opens all the sealed boxes to discourage this exact practice) and a much higher price. Not only did they perform such a scummy act, but they were laughing about it to customers. This store also effectively forces you to buy a pack just to play in their events and frames it as a free pack even though you pay for it with your entry. On an entirely different but more concerning note, I have personally watched the owner and a female employee be incredibly rude and condescending multiple times to another male employee.

Well-lit, nice furniture, spacious aisles, and a spic and span Starbucks cafe, The barista made a perfect drink and they had a Peruvian brownie that is one of the most decadent, chocolate-forward treats I've had. They have a commendable horror section, a sizable kids section, and the biggest anime section I've seen to date. At least half the shelves are devoted to non-fiction if you trend that way (but come on, don't we have enough of real life as is!?). For fans of Legos, they have an incredible amount of sets there for all ages. But there's definitely room for improvement. They only had 4 fresh pastries available for sale and no soup or sandwiches typical at other B&Ns. It was opening day so I figured that of any time, today would be really easy to find books. But other than the fiction section, I really couldn't figure it out. I found the Spanish-language Diary of a Wimpy Kids books, but not the English-language ones. The graphic novel section (my favorite part of any B&N) was not only very small, but also hopelessly out of order (Wonder Woman next to Batman isn't very alphabetical? No Avengers books?). A lot of B&Ns have a play area or a few toys out for the kids to play with, but not here. That said, I suspect that at least some of these issues will change as the store remains opened. Nice selection of comics, graphic novels, anime, funko-pops etc. Not a huge selection of back issues (no $1 Bins) that I saw. Overall, a nice Comic Shop worth checking out.

The day after, I found out that I had to return all three books. The wrong one, the right one and the second one I bought in Alexandria. When I went to the Woodbridge bookstore and told them that I needed to return the books, Megan (I supposed the manager) worked with me and asked for my schedule and proof I dropped the class. I didn't drop the class, I just needed to return the books! Megan told me that it wasn't possible for me to return the books because I hadn't dropped the class. I wasn't sure why this was but I explained that one of the books was sold to me incorrectly and the third book was only a day old and I needed to return it for financial reasons. She continued to tell me that I couldn't return the books. I told her that I bought them the day before and I don't see why I couldn't return them. She then told me that I had to go to Alexandria to return them and they can't return it here. I asked her why and if they all used the same system. She finally signed and said, "I'll return them here but I'm not sure if it will completely go through but I will try." After I got the incorrect book and the new book finally returned, she said that I didn't need to return the correct book because I was in the class. I told her that I needed to return it for financial reasons and I found it cheaper online and she told me that it was completely impossible to return it because it was out of policy and that just because it's cheaper online, I shouldn't return it. I knew that the policy stated that I had three weeks to return a book so I asked Megan to show me where in the policy it stated it. After I asked this, she let out a loud sigh and exclaimed, "FINE, YOU CAN RETURN IT!" I have never had an experience like this at any store. I understand that taking a large return is negative for the store, but please do not lie to your customers about the policy. The policy is in place to keep everything fair. I will NEVER buy another book at the NVCC Woodbridge Bookstore.

Staff was very helpful in letting me see items locked in glass cabinet displays. I purchased The Godfather Tarot and the house blessing on parchment paper. It was very easy to find. If you make a purchase more than $10 you can get a chance to enter a raffle to win a mystery gift. Prices are fair. I almost purchased a journal there yet decided to get it online since it was on sale. The shop has a vast tarot & oracle deck selection with 15% off on clearance items.
