Wandering around ravenous, we finally settled on Fuxia (since our first option, a healthy/salad cafe was closed for holiday). We chose this establishment based on the cute waiter... I mean that's fair right? The Americanized Italian fare wasn't really calling my name, so I went with a simple green salad with tomato. You drizzle on your own olive and vinegar. The greens could have been fresher but I was happen to sit and chug some tap water... plus nosh on bread. My sister ordered pasta in tomato sauce minus the burrata, although something was lost in translation and it was served with the cheese. At least burrata is easy to pick around! The location is quite touristy, but the block of cafes isn't a bad place to stop and sit, since you're removed from the busy streets/intersections. Prices are as expected in Paris. Our service was in fact some of the best on our trip--our waiter was very friendly and helpful, which isn't always the case! read more

Fuxia is actually a really good Italian joint located pretty central to nearly everything. Recently had been walking by and I figured I'd try this place out, didn't disappoint whatsoever. The service is actually quite friendly and very prompt and the establishment itself is charming and a great spot for to people watch. The lasagna is delicious and the mozzarella beignets are awesome. As a nice added touch, the balsamic vinegar and olive oil are separate spray bottles that you can spray on your food, very clever. Overall, not a bad option if you're craving Italian food. Looking to grab dinner close to our hotel we decided to try Fuxia after walking around to check out the options. Started off with a bottle of wine followed by Linguine Pastore for me and Lasagne for Boyfriend. My meal did not impress plus the service was awful. In the end, I would not return. read more

I'm glad that I didn't know this was a chain (albeit a small one) or see the lackluster existing reviews on Yelp before going in here, because either bit of information would have discouraged me from entering. Apparently my aversion to chains is only on the surface; I unknowingly failed a blind taste test. I have to give Fuxia a 5 star review because of the amazing chevre (goat cheese) pesto lasagne I had. It was amazingly delicious. It came with a boring salad and standard french baguette on the side. I'm still thinking about how delicious the lasagne was. It's touristy for sure, but the waitstaff is nice, and they speak English. Service is quick. I'm going to have to brush off my aversion to chains and come back here soon. read more

Stopped by after a night at the opera. There were on the verge of closing (10:00 PM'ish). They were able to seat us as there were few open establishments open in the area. Service was mediocre, although most of the restaurant was open we were placed in the back, essentially out of sight. Getting the attention of our server proved challenging... We ordered linguine bolognese and ravioli. These were average. I was unimpressed with the linguine though the ravioli was good. The major downside of our experience were the cocktails. We ordered a whiskey sour and a negroni. Both were served in pint glasses filled to the brim with crushed ice. There might have been some whiskey in the whiskey sour but I could barely tell. The negroni tasted like Pine Sol, undrinkable; I am not exaggerating, it tasted like cleaning fluid. Your mileage may vary but I won't be going back, ever. read more

When we got there the restaurant was busy & the food looked great! We sat down and it took almost 30 minutes to take our order. My husband & boys ordered a pasta special & I ordered a salad the literally had 6 items on it. About 30 minutes after they got their order we had to ask where my salad was. The waitress forgot to put my order in & did not even say sorry. The service was awful! The food was ok, nothing to write home about. Nice surprise! In a neighbourhood where most restaurants are overly fancy, it's quite pleasant to find this Italian place, where pasta dishes are delicious and cost around €12. Tourists Trap Beware! If you love waiting forever to be served, not getting the food you ordered and being intentionally over charged, please eat here! First, it took a solid 20 minutes from the time that we were seating, to when we were first asked for drinks. Mind you, there was not even any water on the table and it was 90 degrees inside with restaurant with no ac. Second, my father, brother and I all ordered a fish pasta special and my mother ordered a very basic salad. All of the pasta specials came out first and like the gentlemen we are, we all waited for my mother's dish to come out. After 10 minutes went by we couldn't wait any longer, and after 20 minutes we began to get very upset at the absence of my mothers order. We had to tell our waitress 3 separate times about the missing order. When it finally came out, she was letting eating alone. Third, after a train wreck like forgetting someone's meal, you would expect an apology right? Nope. Nobody apologized the entire time we ate there. My father asked the fish to be removed from the bill, to which our waiter replied no and decided to remove two soda's we ordered instead, as compensation. Tired of the terrible service all we wanted was the check so we could leave, but when we finally received the check we were overcharged $8 dollars. She claimed that the cash register couldn't compute all of our meals so she had to do some different math. This waitress must not have graduated 5th grade. The place is very cute. Service was great. Good was ok. We had insalata melanzane. It was delicious. It come on the top of a very thin bread that was very tasty. For the entree we had scalop prosciutto. The veal was very hard and dry. I didn't like it at all. The coffee came with three little deserts. Panacota, tiramisu and chocolate cake. All very good. It was a busy Wednesday night and the patio was completely full. Despite this, the service was very attentive. The dinner itself was tasty but not inspiring and not calling me back again. The menu selection is large, as is the wine list. The amount of food that they brought out was admirable for a French chain restaurant and no one at the table left hungry. My husband and I had a exceptional 1st dinner in Paris. The place was hopping busy but we got a seat outside with no reservation. Service was busy so patience is necessary. We were planning to go to the burger place next door and stumbled onto Fuxia. It looked packed so we gave it a shot. Wow, what a surprise! The Penne Sud is probably the best pasta dish I have ever had. It tastes different than any other pasta I have had. The restaurant also has a great NY/SF vibe. Not to mention, the prices are more reasonable than anything else in Paris and the portions are large. We hated most of the food in Paris but Fuxia ended our trip with a bang! read more

The food here was so incredible. A beautiful outdoor seating area, as much of France and Europe does. From 12 o'clock onwards just follow the crowds of workers finding their way to PLace St. Honoré for their lunch. Fuxia is one of the Italian restaurants there, with a good location for afternoon sun on the terrace, and a decent menu. All food served is good, nothing more, nothing less, and if you like Italian, that means there is not much to complain about.
