I have wanted to try the viral Japanese pancake for a while. I was so glad we stopped into this…read morepancake restaurant located within the mall before heading back home from Toronto. The pancakes were delicious and worth it. The staff helped us through the menu, showed us the size of the pancakes, and even told us of the most popular dish. We went with the tiramisu (most popular) and strawberry chocolate sauce. The size of the pancakes were pretty large and two come in each order, so it is definitely shareable. My favorite was actually the strawberry chocolate sauce. The flavor stood out to me. The tiramisu was good, but I did not care for it as much. The fluffiness of the souffled pancakes was great and they melt in your mouth. I wish I had one of these in our town. A bit expensive, but a definite treat!

The pancakes are freshly made when you order and are beyond delicious, with 14 grams of protein! They have savory pancakes too if sweet isn't on your diet. And croffles! Fuwa Fuwa's macarons are particularly decadent, very fresh with amazing mouth feel of both gooey and crunchy. I've tried the mango, salted caramel, strawberry, pink champagne, and vanilla. They're all so good but I think vanilla might be my favourite! If you haven't visited before, I highly recommend you do! And if you know what you want, I also recommend downloading and ordering through their app. As their pancakes are made fresh to order, they aren't super quick (~25 minutes), but you can order ahead so they're ready for your arrival!

This place would be a 2 1/2 stars, if I had my druthers. It's a bit better than the Chuckwaggon…read more(not quite as "dive-y"), a bit brighter and roomier inside. However it's not fabulous for the ambiance. This place seems to appeal to a younger crowd - families with children - whereas the Chuckwaggon appeals to seniors who flock there. The Pancake House offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I was surprised at the size of the menu (6 or 8 pages), but it's basically a greasy spoon. On the upside, we were able to make a reservation for our party of 8, which was great. We ate inside. I don't actually recall outdoor seating, but maybe that's because it wasn't suitable for a group of our size? I honestly don't remember. When we got there, our table was ready and we were seated virtually right away. The restaurant has COVID19 protocols in place: every other booth is blocked off to grant the 2 meter distance between patrons. The waitresses and kitchen staff were all wearing face masks. We were able to order our food about 10 or 15 minutes after arriving and being seated. The food provided seemed to me to be a generous enough proportion. However, on the downside: a few of us had preferences for bread, ie: unbuttered, or rye bread, which was mixed up, forgotten, or completely missing. The waitress actually argued with me that the bread provided to me was rye bread when plainly it was not. And for this privilege, they charge extra for switching up the bread! We were done our meal within an hour, which was good for hubby and me as we had a long drive home on that hot and sunny Sunday. Overall, this was not my favourite breakfast place, but it sufficed. At least it was a sit-down restaurant with service.

Took some time for the food to arrived, believe it's the chicken. Very fluffy and light pancakes. Loved the maple butter from the chicken and waffles. The maple cream on the pancakes had a lighter maple taste. I'd recommend the maple butter over the cream. Staff was attentive and friendly.

The location alone is a huge plus, but the real star of the show is the PANCAKES! The jiggly, fluffy Japanese soufflé pancakes were absolutely amazing--what an experience! They're light, airy, and melt in your mouth. A quick tip: the lineup can be long, so definitely make a reservation or be prepared for a 15-25 minute wait. Once seated, though, the service was friendly, attentive, and made the wait feel worth it. We ordered three dishes: two soufflé pancakes and one Eggs Benedict. The chocolate soufflé pancake was incredible, served with chocolate/Nutella syrup and caramelized bananas. Those bananas were so good that they honestly should be added to every pancake plate on the menu. The Eggs Benedict, on the other hand, was fairly average--good, but nothing memorable, especially compared to the standout pancakes. Prices are a bit on the higher side for brunch, but given the quality, experience, and uniqueness of the soufflé pancakes, it's worth it. I'd definitely come back again--especially for those pancakes.
