I needed to update our tv room to a proper home theater and called several places. Patrick from Future Automation & Design was the most professional and obviously had many years of experience. He designed a front projection system with a drop down motorized screen and surround sound for us at reasonable prices and we were blown away with the end result. He installed and programmed a Control4 system so that we could press one button and a movie starts playing. It couldn't be easier! He continues to follow up with us when we need something or just to check in to make sure everything is going smoothly. You just don't get customer service like this these days unless you call Patrick. We couldn't recommend him enough! read more

I contacted Patrick to fix my clunky Home Theater system and multi-room audio system. He listened and learned what my concerns were, came to the house and explained exactly where the problems were and the remedies. Yes, the WiFi was weak and the remote controls were rubbish. His team of talented and courteous men worked diligently to install the upgrades and dial in the system to my specs. It was a lot of work and they did a great job. Patrick educated me about the current state of the art in audio and how to get the most out of my system. I began an HD audio streaming service that really sounds amazing, I would say equal to vinyl if not better. With a massive library of songs, it is super easy to explore old favorites and obscure gems. Patrick's enthusiasm and commitment to my project has resulted in the ideal system for our family. Thank you Patrick, I am stoked!! read more

Future Automation and Design is the only company I've found that knows more than I do about my home theater system. I tried several other companies over the years and none were capable of configuring my components correctly. I always had to reinstall and reconfigure after they left. Never an issue with Patrick and his technicians. He is a dealer for most of the high end suppliers and can match prices found in stores. He and his technicians attend industry seminars keeping them current with industry developments. They are always prompt, courteous, clean and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for all your home theater and automation needs. read more

I used to work for a company that installed home theater equipment so I get calls pretty regularly from friends asking me to help them out. When my friend moved down to the Santa Monica area I couldn't make it down to help him out so he asked me if I could suggest a place that could help him out with, in his words, making his home look smart. I suggested putting a pair of glasses on his house but he wasn't going for that. I made a few calls to some of the people I used to work with and was told about FAD multiple times. One of them suggest Best Buy. I told him to bite his tongue and that we were no longer friends. Friends don't let friends go to Best Buy. Future Automation & Design came to his home, did a free consultation and put together a detailed quote so my friend would know exactly what he was getting in to. My buddy is a little high strung but he said when the consultation was over he was feeling good about things. Install day came, the crew was on time and they were efficient in their work. I saw my friends house before the install and I saw his house after. The work was clean and coming from someone that used to get paid to do the same work, I was impressed. Audio in every room, even the bathroom. Apparently my buddy likes to sing in the shower, I could have gone without thinking about him in the shower, but what ever floats his boat. The Tv's looked great, they were well placed and there wasn't a single hanging wire. You gotta love a company that knows what they were talking about and knows what they were doing. read more

Highly recommend Future Automation & Design. I was first impressed by Patrick's incredible knowledge of AV and home theater equipment at the first consultation. He was professional, responsible, and didn't pressure me which made the decision to go with Future Automation and Design easy. He designed an incredible home theater package for me that met my needs, budget, and (most importantly) what my wife considered aesthetically pleasing. Installation: The day of installation went smoothly and efficiently. Patrick and his team finished the entire project in less than a day and then spent time with me to help me understand how to use system. The TVs were wall-mounted perfectly without messy cables. I went with Control4 (which i highly recommend) for the living room and bedroom master TV remotes and Sonos amps and speakers to play music throughout the house. Followup: Patrick continues to provide the highest level of service since the job was finished which is comforting and is a testament to the company. It's nice to know that after such a big decision, that he stands by his product and installation. Summary: I've already started raving about Future Automation & Design to my friends and family. I recommend Patrick without reservations to anyone that wants a state-of-the-art home theater system and A+ customer service. read more

I found Patrick from seeing his wrapped van in my neighborhood. I needed someone who was knowledgeable about my control 4 system that needed to be updated but would also be available to continue to update and communicate when things changed or when the electrical went out which happens often in my area. My original system had been installed poorly and was a tangled mess of wires. Patrick and his Team came in and rewired the box and organized all of the components into a sleek cabinet that had a fan it in so that the components wouldn't overheat. He originally quoted me before Covid and wasn't able to do the install during that time but when he was able to start work all of his employees showed up on time with masks. They where clean and communicated where they were daily at the end of each day. They let us know what they would be working on the next day, which was important because having your internet down while working at home during a pandemic can send anyone over the edge. I would recommend Future Automation without reservation. I am so happy with our new TV and sound system. The TV with its sound system is amazing! read more

His level of customer service is second to none and he is a Control4 expert! He came out to do an in-home consult for us to see the spaces and what equipment would be needed. Within a couple days we received a proposal that had everything detailed out for us and the total amount never changed. We can't recommend them enough! read more

Patrick from Future Automation & Design is who I contacted to program and take over a home automation project after a bad experience with another company who left the work unfinished and with a lot of problems. Patrick and his team took over and made everything right again, as if they were there from the beginning of the project. They figured out what was wrong, upgraded a few items, and ironed out all of the issues. I couldn't be happier with his company and the service they provide. His followup service continues to impress me as well. Future Automation installed a Control 4 home automation system in our home (audio/visual and one chandelier). This was a rework /upgrade of a previous automator's work. Don't go anywhere else...we did (6 months ago) and paid the price. The owner, Patrick, will accomodate your needs and keep you within your budget. There was difficulty at every turn (wiring problems, speaker locations, router, wireless channel issues...) that he faced and resolved quickly and efficiently. His product and technical recommendations were right on. We'll probably continue with the next phase which incorporates lighting into our home automation system. read more
