I this place. I'm a total foodie. There I said it. Though that comment should not come as a surprise if you've read any of my reviews. If you're a foodie or just want some quality oils for your pantry, if you can't find it here, you won't find it anywhere else. A company who strictly deals with Balsamic Oils and Vinegars in a variety of flavors, all of which can be tasted in tiny cups. And the staff will even tell you which one compliments the other and with certain foods. There's a sign above each oil and vinegar from where it's from and the flavor notes and what foods you can add it too. Whether it be salads, or otherwise. My new favorite is Vanilla Bean Balsamic Vinegar which I add to my morning yogurt song with the local Cherry Republic Triple Cherry Granola Mix! Absolutely delish! If you love to cook and eat like we do. Head on over. They also have custom salts as well trial size samples of their oils. Create your own four pack, pick up their in house cook book and be sure to pick up their custom corks for their bottle. Which offers a screw off top cap and slows your pour. Worth it! You can find these at the checkout by be register. Also, be sure to join their frequent buyers club in store. As we ended up getting one bottle free. You can also buy online if you're not in the Traverse City area like we are.

Amazing Cooking class experience! One of my best, delicious interactive Christmas gifts. Professional Chef Laura Cavendar did the Sunday Brunch Class with us. The menu was mouth watering and surprisingly not overly complicated and I can't wait to try to recreate these items for family. Menu: Smashed golden potatoes - Fustini's Sage and Wild Mushroom Olive Oil, crushed garlic, parsley, Parmesan Pickled Red Onions - simply chopped red onion, with rosemary, and apple cider vinegar (a love of mine and always a mystery to me, now simply revealed!) Homemade Hollandaise Sauce - LOVED, never liked this sauce until this day. Egg yolks, fresh lemon juice, cayenne, salt, and butter, I wanted to lick the plate. So much flavor and great on the baguettes it was served with! Savory Ricotta Pancakes - ricotta cheese, chives, and chopped bacon add a new spin on pancakes. Honeyed Balsamic Pear n Puff Pastry - a whole pear baked and simmered, finally wrapped tenderly in a pastry served with a bourbon sauce with Cara Cara Balsamic! If you are a bourbon person, this is for you! It was a great experience to do with a loved one and put the passion and excitement of cooking into me! Laura did a good job of also providing all kinds of other cooking and food preparation tips such as chopping and even tips to keep your cutting board from sliding. I'll be back for another class!!

We went to a cooking demonstration at Fustini's featuring Parisian Bistro food. Most of the prep work was done before we began, but some was done during the demonstration with explanations of the methods used. Many Fustini's oils were used during the prep and cooking phases, and the bottles were passed so we could taste samples of each. The timing for each item was well done, although we did run past the two-hour time set for the demonstration. No one had any reason to leave, however, so we all stayed to the end. Ten people were seated at a counter, right in front of the prep and cooking burners and oven. It was well done, and very good food, all planned and executed by Laura Cavender. We were served sweet onion tart, oven roasted radishes, avocado mayonnaise, pan fried chicken with tarragon mushroom sauce, salade de carottes rapees, and espresso creme brulee.

At 10AM, on a Tuesday Morning, the last thing I expected to be doing was throwing back shots of vinegar and olive oil. I ventured into this quaint storefront, very similar to many of the other stops I had made along my stroll down Front Street. Except this stop was unique. Two friendly female associates greeted me and began to explain the concept of the store. Creative and unique flavorings of balsamic vinegars and olive oil. As a female in my mid-20's, well let's be honest here, late 20's, I am still experimenting with various ways to prepare meals. After discovering Fustini's I now have a new secret weapon in the kitchen. Many of the olive oils and balsamic vinegars pair so well together I will be sampling new combinations for a while to come.

Oryana Community Co-op is hands-down my favorite place to stop in Traverse City for a vegan meal,…read morewhether it's breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee. Oryana is truly a vegan haven. Not only do they have an amazing selection of grab-and-go items, but their made-to-order options are equally impressive. Their vegan dill wrap is one of my favorites and packed with flavor. I also love their prepared tofu slices, especially the curry and smoked varieties. Most recently, I tried the peanut tofu wrap and it was absolutely out of this world, incredibly flavorful, satisfying, and very filling. They also have fantastic options on the hot bar. One standout for me is the vegan breakfast burrito. It's only around $4, surprisingly filling, and loaded with flavor. A little messy to eat, but completely worth it! If you're vegan and visiting Traverse City, Oryana is an absolute must-visit.

Before I even ambarked on my vacation to Traverse City with my wife I would have never thought that…read morethis city had a health food store but this store takes the cake! This store is absolutely incredible. It's a medium-sized store but it has so much to offer and I enjoyed it it doesn't feel like on the side a big box grocery store. This store is unique and many ways and the prices on all your grocery items are actually very fair. You can expect to find hard to find vegan items, a great selection of Health Products your bathroom or just everyday life. The cafe and the little dining room in the back is such a great touch to the store. The soup selection is awesome incredible awesome featuring some vegan items. Great selection of alcoholic beverages as well! I also visited it's sister store only a couple of miles away and it's just as good but I feel like this location has a slight Edge over it. Highly recommend checking out this store if you're in the area or are vacationing like myself.
