They have advertised $39 dc power jack replacement and when i called i was told that the actual price is going to be around $100 with parts. Firstly, i bought a brand new dc jack for $2 and don't know how they can justify claiming it costs $60. They are a scam company and obviously think of their customers as marks. Update: Shortly after i wrote this review i received a message from 'fusionc', i'm guessing it is the owner of the shop. He writes, " check our website www.fusioncomputerusa.com before wrote a feedback, no education...If you are another shop, I do not care what you wrote? we have so many customer come here for service, thats why we did a good job. go back your life and dont waste your time to wrote a feedback online, we do not care. have a nice day" I think that speaks for itself. Another Update: The next day after posting the message from fusionc, i received yet another message him. He writes, "Our label is $39, part is not includes. Read our website $39 Labor only, EXAMPLE: if you break a screen, you think I will replace a new screen for you only $39. Think about your self. The customer service is horrendous. The attitude of the workers there is very rude. They undermind you, and are not very clear of what type of labor they will be doing and how it will effect your computer, and rather then focusing on what you need, they are plotting on what they can add to your bill. I would only go back to this place if I was desperate and there were no other shops near by. Avoid this place. Ok, we had a bad motherboard in our laptop. Fusion took to repair and had to order a new board. They got the replacement in time anticipated however the board was not 100%. So we got another. In the mean time my son's school recommended we get a laptop for him. Fusion had a near new laptop at a great price. 10 days later we got the next board. Fusion got my laptop running and waived the labor cost because of the wait time. In the long run fusion saved us 100s of dollars. read more

I've been to this repair shop for several different issues over the past year - (e.g. corrupted hard drive , windows os stuck in a loop upon booting up, forgotten administrator account password for windows os). The staff has always been very helpful in troubleshooting and giving general advice on computer care. They're also very inexpensive - best deal I found, by far, when shopping around on Craigslist. read more

My computer was plagued with malware and spyware. After much online searching because of the lack of cash I had to spend on computer repair I was thrilled to find Fusion. The staff was really friendly and explained everything to me. They ended up wiping my hard drive but helped me load everything onto a back up drive before that. When I picked up my computer the next day they offered to sell me updated security software, but I declined and left having only paid their advertised $39 charge since I didn't have to purchase any parts. I was really happy with the experience and it was nice to have a stress-free end to some very nerve-wracking computer problems. Thanks guys! If I could give zero stars I would. The guy would not listen to my issue. He just wanted me to pay the $59 diagnostic fee so he could open the laptop up. He said I had to pay it no matter I fix it or not! I told him we already did that and know the problem, then person before could not fix it, could he repair the problem, he said he didn't know just replace the mother board (which is about $250-300 and this is for a student who doesn't have it). This place used to be great, haven't been here in over ten years, won't ever catch me stepping foot back on there again. This place, very disappointing. Do not trust them, because we took in our lap top and we told them that it was running slow. They told us that it was the Internal drive, and supposably they changed it, a year later, we had it checked out because we started having problems with it, and we found out, it was never replaced. Their was nothing wrong with our computer, what happened, was that our city was changing phone companies, and the internet was running slow, during the transaction. We paid $90, plus more, for other things done. Make sure you get it checked out, even after they look at it. read more

Adding to my earlier story....I finally received my new LCD via online order for $90 + $15 shipping. As I went to put the LCD into the computer, I found that one of my LCD screws had been stripped and wouldn't come out because it had been tighted down too much. This computer has never been taken apart, so it suspect it must have been Fusion technicians that did it. Nevertheless, I finally got the screw removed and put in the LCD in less than 15 min. after downloading the proper guide from Dell and watching a video on UTube. Don't waste your time to have these people replace your LCD. Do it yourself. LESSON LEARNED! read more

My friend and I were going to go to this store to buy cables for her computer. As I get out of the car (which was parked in the designated area of the store) the owner of the store walks outside, COUGHS at us and tells us "Don't even think about it" in a LOUD, RUDE voice. Then he just walks back inside!! We had not even entered his store yet!! He rejected us from coming inside FROM THE PARKING LOT! I bring my laptop in for service to fix my AC charger. they tell me on the phone $39 flat rate and to my surprise it came out to $140. I get a call asking for my password that day and everything is A OK! I drive 30 min to pick up my laptop and when asked to put my p/w in it does not work. They looked at me like i was nuts and proceeded to take the password off the computer. I get home and try to use the laptop and realize my keyboard's A, Shift button no longer works as-well as the right click button. I drive yet again 30 min to take the computer back and get a phone call saying I am liable for the keyboard and they refuse to fix it. They tell me even though i brought the laptop in working, worked when they requested the password, clearly broke when they were adjusting the hardware, that it is my responsibility. I NEVER DO THIS but... I don't think i have ever been treated the poorly by a business in a very very long time. If you are looking to Buy/fix a computer. BITE THE BULLET AND GO TO BEST BUY. I called and asked if they had a specific laptop screen in stock for my dads laptop and the guy on the phone says he needs to see the laptop, I then drove there with my dads laptop for him to look at and he refused to tell me if he had the screen in stock that day or if he had to order it then told me it would cost $25 for him to check his inventory for the screen. I asked if he did not have the screen would I get my $25 back and he said no then told me to leave if I wasn't going to pay and began to argue with me about why he wouldn't check for the screen saying even if he had it in stock I probably wouldn't pay and he doesn't want my business. I felt offended because I had the money to pay for it. (I just wanted to know if the screen was in stock because we needed the laptop fixed that day no later) Went right down the street not even 2 minutes from the place and got the laptop fixed within 30 minutes at a lower cost. I spilt milk on my laptop last week and ruined my keyboard. A friend recommended that I take it to this place. The man at the desk is a very no-filler, to the point sort of guy when it comes to customer service. Some people don't prefer that, but I do. He asked how I heard of the business and what the issue with my laptop was. I told him I spilt milk on my keyboard and that it started typing on its own. He said it would almost surely need to be replaced. The initial cost was estimated to be just under 100 dollars with the service fee included (39.99.) I agreed to it, signed papers, and left. They didn't try to sell me anything or get me to sign up for anything. I was in and out during my first visit within about 7ish minutes. They called me a day later and said that because my keyboard was attached to my palm rest with my touch pad on it, they would need to replace that as well. The cost went up to about 144 dollars. Understandable. They asked me to come back in to pay before they started working on it, so I did. They expected their work to be done by the following Tuesday but finished several days before then. I just picked my laptop up, and it works just fine so far. There were some screen smudges and a couple marks around where I suppose they opened it, but I'm not picky. I can clean it, and marks are just about inevitable. Definitely beats paying for a new laptop (unless you want something like a Chromebook.) read more

This has to be the worst business establishment I have ever stepped foot in. Where do i start? Well I took my laptop to them a while back ago, over half a year. They took forever to fix my brand new computer because they needed to order a motherboard for it, from china. So i received my computer back and noticed a big scratch on my screen. Upon further inspection I found that my computer is doing a bunch of weird stuff now and my volume control isnt working either. Being very displeased and distraught I called them back to let them know the damages thay had been done. To make a long story short they said it wasnt their fault and that if I wanted I can go back in and return their motherboard for a refund. Worst place ever. Out of all consideration towards the next guy they try to hustle. Dont come here or let anyone there handle your computer. Your taking a huge gamble with these crook's. read more

I took my computer there for repair and they were able to fix most of the problems. A couple of weeks later the computer froze up and I couldn't get it unstuck. (This was completely unrelated to the work they did.) Due to the age of the system (4.5 years), I decided to purchase a brand spanking new PC from Fusion. It was a good price, they installed Office 2007 and moved my data from the old PC to the new one and I was happy until about 2 months later. I had a technician come to my house to resolve some sync issues with my new BlackBerry (I haven't found anyone at Fusion to be BlackBerry savvy). The first thing this guy did was check for antivirus protection and, to my utter dismay, he said that I didn't have ANYTHING. I called Fusion and they said that "most of the time" they ask the customer about antivirus and about 60% of the time the customer will decline having it installed because they plan to do it themselves. I said that I had never been asked and was shocked that they would let a customer walk out the door without an antivirus program. The guy said sorry, but then he got a HUGE attitude with me and said that he "didn't appreciate my lecturing him." I had been prepared to write a favorable review, but in my opinion they were completely out of line in their response. I had told a few friends about this place (because their service prices are very reasonable and I am very happy with my new computer, including the price) but I am not recommending them any more due to what I consider an unacceptable reaction on their part to some honest, constructive feedback from a customer. read more

Took the computer in for a $39 tune up. The guy opened a lot of screen on one of their monitors and couldn't close windows because the video on the monitor wasn't size properly. He said it looks like it's pretty messed up you can't close window and your system seems pretty shot. I commented that his video screen needed resized and that he could close from windows from the task bar. He said it's not really worth my time what can I do for you? I said I'm here for the $39 tune up. He said well that's what we charge just to start looking at a system. I said well on your website it says that you run a lot of tune up features, speed increase, etc... He said okay we'll look at it and call you tomorrow. Two days went by so I called and they said it ready come pick it up. I got their they charged me $39 said here you go. I asked what they did and the guy said he didn't work on it the person that did wasn't there and that I could call. I took the system home and it is must slower then when I dropped it off. I'm thinking they changed some setting or something but it now times out when playing video, the mouse freezes and is much worse off. read more

You have me confused with another unhappy customer or you are just lying. I never spoke with you over the phone I came in off the street with laptop in hand. I had a virus and had to run a recovery cd and after rebooting I lost my wireless driver and the VGA driver and thats it. It would have been an easy job as I ended up fixing it myself later that evening and I amusing the same laptop right now to post this. My problem with you guys is you make computer repair sound like rocket science and make simple things sound difficult and if you would have said something like " we will do our best to fix your machine" or "don't worry we are good at what we do" . I would have left my machine with you no matter how long it took. Instead you made it very clear that you don't even have to fix the machine to charge a customer $39.00 and that you are not even sure it could be fixed yet you did not even look at the machine and in order for you to even touch it I would have to pay you $39.00. No guarantee,no confidence and a cheap price and a bad attitude. Sounds like a shitty gamble to me. I guess you did not expect to have a customer have any power to fight back with words that can be seen by many but that was your gamble and that was the cards you were dealt. Also if you are going to charge 10.00 more for additional software per item you should change your sign to include that. Otherwise your just baiting and switching. That shows no integrity. read more

For a $45 repair job, the owner wanted to hit me with a $5 service fee for paying by credit card. That's $5--a 12% price hike--to use ANY credit card, not just Amex (which would have been bad enough). Unheard of--I won't be back. read more

These guys are ridiculous. I brought my 2 month old laptop to them to repair my screen, got my machine back about a week later after paying a higher price then I was quoted. I look at my "new" laptop and there is super glue along the top cover keeping the screen mounted. That's not all, I go to use my camera on the laptop and now there's a piece of tape covering the lense. I call to see if they will fix the problem and they tell me the tape was there previously but they would be glad to help for a small cost. Isn't the customer always rite? Why should I pay you twice for one repair? Now that I've gone in to the store and complained they offered to fix my lap top, but here we are almost 2 weeks later without my computer and they're telling me it still might be another 3-4 days because they ordered the wrong part. I learned my lesson dealing with these guys, from now on all my repairs will get done by either the geek squad or the manufacturer. read more

About 3 years ago I had a computer that was failing. I brought it in to these guys and they determined it was my hard drive. I had them replace it. I was told it had a 3 year warranty. Knowing that I am not very good at keeping track of the receipt paperwork, I put a little sticker on the side of the tower so that I knew when the drive was installed, by who and for how long it was going to be under warranty. Unfortunately, the new drive failed again just before the 3 year mark. They, in fact, determined it was the hard drive again. Feeling a bit relieved, since I new it was still under warranty, I assumed they would replace the drive with a new one and send the failing drive back to the manufacturer. Seemed easy enough right...? What really happened was that they punched in the serial number online on the manufacturer's site and it came back as "out of warranty". I still didn't think that would be a problem because I knew they had already found my purchase history in their system showing exactly when it was purchased from them and I still had about 3 months left under warranty. Not the case. They completely disregarded the fact that they new when it was installed. They said that I would have to go and deal directly with the hard drive manufacturer to get this issue resolved. Since I had lost my receipt and I knew they had a record of it in their system, I asked if they could "re-print" my receipt. They refused. I'm not kidding. They refused! Really!? What world are we living in right now? It just did not make any sense to me. So I picked up my computer and walked out the door without a receipt. Those are the facts - bizarre but true. Besides the obvious lack of "acceptable" customer and common sense, what I have not explained yet is the utter rudeness and lack of professionalism displayed by Brent and the Asian man that works the register. Ray stayed cool and just explained they could not help in a "matter of fact" way. All 3 guys in the lobby of this little shop did not care what was right or wrong. None of them showed any compassion or empathy for my situation. Now... I realize these guys are "geeks" so to speak but they are still human, right? They have blood running through their veins, right? You wouldn't think it. I don't need anyone at a computer repair shop to be warm and fuzzy so I have never expected that. What I do expect is some professionalism, some display of common sense and a least the "feeling" that they want to earn my repeat business. None of these things were present here. I am a small business owner. I would never drags someone's name through the mud unless I felt I was doing some good by preventing the next unassuming, innocent person from using this company. I have paid over $340.00 for repair on my Lenovo laptop. My 1st visit to this shop was on 07/01/2016. I picked up my laptop on 07/16/2016. As an afterthought, I decided to purchase a new keyboard and mouse combo. On07/27/2016, I realized I was not going to be able to use the keyboard - I didn't even open the box. An older man was the only person when I arrived. His friendly attitude changed immediately when I said I was making a return. He was very rude. As he studied my receipt, he stated that there was a 30 day limit on returns and I was over that. I told him if that was how it was going to be (no refund) I would just keep it. He was very rude and aggressive about my request for a refund. I told him the return could not be over 30 days. He was gripping my receipt so I couldn't look at it. He finally gave me the credit back on my card, acting like he was doing me a favor. I looked at my receipt when I got home. It had been exactly 11 days since my purchase! There is no statement ANYWHERE on the receipt regarding returns except if the item is defective, and then you have 3 days to EXCHANGE item. This business displayed the worst customer service I have experienced. You should never argue and aggressively approach a customer in a hostile manner. I will never return to this shop. read more

I was a repeat customer here, and as other customers have stated, it's pretty ridiculous that you are charged $20 extra for giving them repeat business, not exactly the message of caring about their customers. The second time I went there I brought my desktop computer in. The computer was able to turn on, and was able to get into the browser. Although once in the browser it would freeze up and was not able to surf the internet. Their analysis was the motherboard was fried. I found that interesting since everything I have researched says if the motherboard is fried basically nothing will appear on the screen at all, and you are not able to perform any functions whatsoever. And of course the motherboard is the most expensive thing to replace. Wouldn't trust these guys, buyer beware! read more

I had a great experience at Fusion Computer. After two weeks of back and forth with the Geek Squad and they couldn't even diagnose my problem, I took my laptop to Fusion. They ran diagnostics while I waited, using an external monitor, and isolated the problem within 30 min. Unfortunately, it was not something that could be repaired, but they were able to salvage my data and they drilled my hard drive while I watched. Once upon a time my macbook pro recieved a message with a question mark and a folder blinking. I self diagnosed that it was the cable that was attached to the HDD and needed assistance in getting the part and installing the part. This store helped me out and was able to handle my dilemma within teo days. Diego, who was looking after my computer was more than helpful and kept up to date with what was going on. He was able to reinstall the OS. Not bad at all saved more money here than taking it into the apple store. read more

I went in to fix something external, and was back the next 2 weeks to fix things internally which I never had problems for before. I ended up paying a lot of money and my computer is still having problems. I had a 4 pc's worked on (hardware and software) that went past my expertise, including heat sink work and some latent virus issues. I have used this business three times. I have been impressed with their ability to repair my Mac. I also had an old hp that they couldn't fix but they were very honest about it and said it would not be worth the time and effort. I appreciated that. The last visit was my iPhone. I'm still having a few glitches but I have dropped this phone on a few occasions so I'm not sure it is something they didn't fix. All and all, I am very satisfied with this company. I drove there and I asked them could it be done the same day. They told me they will try their best. I ate my lunch in a cafe nearby. They came to fetch me and wow my laptop was refurbished like new. Fusion computer repairs work quality sucks! I took my old built in hard drive from my old tv and they stated to me that they would charge me $39.00 dollars to transfer that old hard drive to my external hard drive. They told me that they would not give me my money back if the old external would not work. I had to call them that same day because they stated they would call me first that same day. They finally told me it was encrypted data and it was not going to work. I undertood all that. However, they should of least gave me at least some sort of credit to buy from there store.
