      AKC Trick Certification - I recently achieved a significant milestone by certifying a client's dog in both AKC Novice and Intermediate Trick Training. This accomplishment reflects the dedication and hard work invested in both the training process and the dog's development. For the AKC Novice Trick Dog title, the dog needed to demonstrate proficiency in basic tricks and commands. These included fundamental behaviors such as sitting, staying, coming when called, shaking hands, and rolling over. Each of these tricks was assessed for reliability and execution. The dog performed these basic commands with precision and consistency, showcasing a strong foundation in obedience and responsiveness.       This review is just for the grooming salon at this location. They are scammers and will upcharge…read moreand try to get away with it by giving some BS reason as to why the charge is different than the original booking. I would highly suggest you AVOID unless you want to pay more than you should and/or argue with them about charges each time. And it looks like from reading the reviews on here, a lot of people have had terrible experiences with the grooming salon as well. I have been taking my dog here for 5 years now and will not be taking her back. For about 4 years, I didn't have too many issues, until last year. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt, but not anymore. I always book a bath & brush and add on the deluxe package because I like for them to grind her nails down instead of just trim them. Last year, I booked the same appointment and when she was finished, I was given an invoice with a different service type and add on as well as a $10 off coupon and was told that it would come out to the same price as the bath & brush + deluxe package. I thought it was weird but didn't make a big deal out of it, even though it ended up being about $5 more than it should have been had they just kept my appointment as is with no coupon. The next time, I booked just a bath & brush because I had my dog's boarding facility trim her nails just before I came to the salon so I didn't need it. They ended up charging me for the deluxe add on as well and unfortunately, my husband went to pick up the dog and paid and didn't know about the upcharge for a package we did not book. When I brought it to his attention, he spoke to the workers at the salon, and they agreed to put a note in the system that we would not be charged for the deluxe package for our next grooming appointment. The time after that, I took my dog in for just a walk-in nail grind and specifically came during the day for their yappy hour because I knew it would be discounted. None of the workers knew what pricing was for yappy hour and were asking around and each other. They ended up giving me a certain % off and since I was in a rush, I just paid. Later that evening, I noticed that my dog's nails were cut straight across (which is how they are with a nail trim) instead of rounded (which is how they are with a nail grind). It reminded me to look up the pricing for yappy hour and I realized that I should have received $3 off the service price instead of the % they gave me. Not too big of a difference dollar wise, but it is about the principle here. I paid more than I should have, and for a service that I requested but didn't receive! I am partly to blame for not checking her nails and knowing my facts upon pick up. The last and final straw was the most recent appointment. I booked a bath & brush + deluxe package. During the appointment, the appointment type went from bath & brush + deluxe at $75 to bath & brush + deluxe + brush fee (15 min) at $85. When she was done, the invoice stated bath & TRIM + essential package at $89. My husband asked why the appointment type always changes every time we come and was given some baloney reason that the groomer changes it in the system when they take it on (whatever that means) and that it "comes out to the same price". Not sure how $75 = $89 or why we were charged for a bath & trim + essential package when we booked a bath & brush + deluxe package. My dog has never gotten her hair trimmed or cut in her life so again, being charged for a service that we did not receive. They did honor the deluxe package discount mentioned above from the previous time which took off some from the total amount, but the total amount still would have been lower had they just charged for the service we booked for. All that to say, I don't know what kind of operation they are running but they must be doing the same to other customers and getting away with it, which is why they continue to do it. I know I will not be coming back and you should not give them your business either.

Then after a day or two, they reached out to change the time. Alright, not a big deal. They told me that my groomer wasn't available on that day/time. So, they gave me another groomer at a different time. Not a problem. Another few days go by and I get a text that they need to change the time again. Oh okay. It's changed again. Okay, at least we are set. That was my train of thought. The day of the appointment, I get a text saying would it be okay if I came in 30 minutes? Ummm the appointment was at 4:00pm and you are asking to arrive at 11:30am. I'm at work at this point, trying to get ahold of my husband who is at work, so we can try to rearrange our schedules to accommodate the complete change in time. Honestly, my husband was upset that this was happening while he's at work. I was also irritated about this last minute change and only 30 mins notice. That's just not okay. You can't do that to people. I understand that they have you sign paperwork and let you know that there's a 2 hour window for your appointment. So, you do have to be available within a 2 hour window. Which is fine. If my appointment is at 4pm then the 2 hour window would be around that, and it definitely would not include 11:30am. That's way out of the window so they weren't even following their own policy. That's frustrating to me. Not sure my husband and I will pay for this service again, just because of the appointment time changing so much. It's unfortunate because we do like the grooming for our dog. Original appointment was at 8am. They changed it to 4:45pm. Then they changed it to 4pm. They tried to change it to 11:30 last minute/ on the day of the appointment. That's just not professional. The whole point of the mobile grooming is that it is convenient and easy. This experience was neither.

I love that this is a home based day care that has more than enough space for the pups to run. Kathryn, her brother, and her husband are EXCEPTIONAL. I first used them when I went to Thailand for 2 weeks and again when I went to Hawaii for a week. The pups had not been there in a year and KNEW where they were going and were ecstatic when we turned into their street. My golden has a lot of health issues and her medication regime has never an issue. My malamute mix has anxiety and can sometimes mount, and again never an issue. He's also not very trusting so the fact that he is happy is so reassuring. I LOVE that Kathryn will send me videos and pictures of my babies next to her human baby coexisting. It really is family owned. I rather make the 1-2hr drive and take them here than go anywhere else. I can go on vacation and have peace of mind that my babies are not just being taken cared of but also being loved on. Don't look further, bring your fur babies here!

Our Golden Retriever puppy, Maple, was out of control with biting, destroying everything from her blankets, her toys, our backyard landscape, and even the walls and base molding around the house. We tried to take her on walks but she would pull us around the neighborhood, and every little distraction scared her to death. We've owned four other Goldens in the past and never experienced this kind of wild behavior. Then came Ryan... he assured us that this behavior could be corrected with the right leadership, so we signed up for his two-week boot camp experience. The two weeks seemed like forever but when he brought her home she was our same familiar Maple but oh what a difference in her demeanor and behavior. Then Ryan followed up with us a week later and he reviewed with us all of our challenges that we were still experiencing. We quickly realized the problem wasn't Maple, it was us. Lots of little details like how to properly sync the electronic collar with the clicker, and keeping our finger on the clicker button so that we could engage it in a timely manner, etc. Once we got the hands-on training that we needed, Maple has transformed into a sweet, calm and well-behaved Golden Retriever. Thanks Ryan for your expertise and your expert training techniques. Ryan really understands how to train your dog in a positive manner so that you can reward their good behavior instead of reacting to the dog's misbehavior. We were not happy with her services. She only wants to take care of the easy dogs. I honestly worry that she has her 8-10 year old daughter assisting with animals as she was too young and seemed dangerous. We did have issues communicating as she didn't want to specify dates and seemed very unclear. Be cautious as there is some liability to take on.
