I sent my 3-month-old puppy to his 21-day training program, and I'm beyond impressed with the results. He did an amazing job building a solid foundation for my pup--everything from basic obedience to confidence and socialization. The transformation in just three weeks was incredible! He truly has a gift with dogs and kept me updated throughout the whole process. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares and delivers real results, this is the trainer to trust.

100/100!! No! 1000000/1000000! Buckle up, this is going to be a ride. We've been to 3 other trainers and I can say for certain this is the BEST trainer you will ever come across. I'm so happy Darshan decided to open up his own private academy. Darshan and Adela are beyond incredible. Words cannot describe how lucky we are to have been referred to them by another client. We were frustrated, at our lowest, had not so great experiences with other trainers, and feeling so lost. We thought we were doing everything right with our Doberman puppy as he entered his teenage phase. But we were struggling with his energy level, basic obedience, and leash/dog reactivity (among some other things) It sucked the joy out of pet ownership and we had anxiety every time we went anywhere with him. We asked a fellow friend on Instagram how their experience was with Darshan and if they would recommend. They had nothing but high praises all around. We put it off for a while, thinking we can still handle it. But then realized this is an investment we must do. Months later we were driving hours to meet them at their home! Darshan was extremely welcoming! Our biggest worry was our trainer pushing us, lying, not listening, making us feel like a nuisance for asking questions, etc (all of which we had experienced). He could not have been more different! We spent literally HOURS there, at our first consultation!! He is so patient, kind and tailors his training exactly to what you and your dog need. Never pushed us to do anything. You know you have to be stellar for us to decide to board our baby for 6 weeks. 6 weeks our Von went to Darshan for his board and train. He only takes a limited number of clients at a time for his board/train and this is exactly what we wanted. His full attention on a smaller number of dogs! His communication is on and off and this worried us in the beginning, but don't worry! He is spending his FULL attention training your beloved family member. We realized this later. Darshan can disappear with our dog for months and we would trust him 1000%. When he returned he was no longer the puppy we knew, but a matured, structured, well behaved and ready to work dog! He did a 180! Not only that, Darshan again spent HOURS catching us up, training us and patiently answering all of our concerns. He addressed every, single, one! Even the ones I thought he may have forgotten. He was THAT thorough. Seriously, I can write a book and go on and on. Adela is just as amazing. Both taking turns and working our dog. They even worried and stressed over his health, weight and skin issues. Making meal adjustments and giving baths to make sure Von is staying healthy. So healthy in fact that Von's skin allergies nearly subsided!! This is HUGE as many trainers do not take this into consideration. They feel like long lost friends and we are so blessed to have them on our training journey. Even after our last class, they made themselves available for any concerns and questions. You can tell how much they love what they do. If you are considering, just go to a consultation and judge for yourself. You won't regret it!

Boba doing his "PLACE" command!

From the first meeting with Darshan, we knew he was the right guy to train our Boerboel puppy, Boba. Boba has had the opportunity to board and train with Darshan two times now. We've done 5 weeks and 3 weeks. He's also come to our house to do training which was appreciated since we do live far from where Darshan trains and lives. With that said, we could've picked trainers closer to where we live but the drive was definitely worth it to have Boba board and train with Darshan. Boba just turned one and he does very well with the commands Darshan has taught him. It's important to keep up with the training as Darshan reminds us and it is so true! If you are looking for someone to board and train your precious family member, TRUST Darshan! He really is the best!!

Havoc

Professional, very knowledgeable, and best of all you can see he really cares for the dogs that stay with him. That in itself, we were so happy to have chosen him. We asked Darshan to help us with our Presa Havoc and Shepherd Parker. Havoc had a very dominant personality and liked to walk all over everything. He is 125lb of bullying everyone around. Got excited (not in a good way) at the sight of any dog and would lunge at them from time to time on our walks. Parker was a very high energy skiddish little fellow who was reactive towards people. Has even bit someone on the finger once for getting too close to him. The 2 combined together was just disastrous on walks, in public and being in the same room was impossible. Darshan's board and train program changed all that. Havoc took his 6 week program and Parker took his 3 weeks. The change was DRASTIC. They listen so much better and you can just see their engagement and focus is always on us now when we go out. I am so thankful because taking them out in public suddenly didn't seem too hard of a task. Darshan gave us the tool and trained us as well at the end of the programs to make sure we are on top of it at home when he wasn't there. He made sure that we knew - even if Havoc and Parker knows their commands and is much more behaved, that consistency is key. They are doing very well at home and things around the house have been much more structured and I don't have all the dogs trampling over me when I open doors!!! I love that one!!! And no leash pulling was a PLUS for sure as well. Just overall so happy.

Evening Star Kennels should have higher ratings, in my opinion. I'm so glad that although I read…read moremost, if not all the reviews, I chose to disregard them and just let my gut tell me if I should move forward in getting a pup from this kennel. Evening Star was celebrating their 40 year anniversary and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get another Vizsla at an outrageous promotion. My first Vizsla was adopted from a family who wanted to give her up and even then, I don't have background info on my first V. I adopted her at 6 months and she is now 7 years old. The pup from Evening Star would come with health clearances from both sire and dam. Another review mentioned their photocopies as being questionable, but for me, that didn't matter. I imagine other breeders would just photocopy their documents as well. I read a couple of reviews deterring people from getting pups from Evening Star because their dog developed cancer. I pray that none of my pets get this, but I even have family and friends who got/had cancer. Speaking with a representative from South Coast Vizsla Club, they confirmed that all breeds can develop cancer. (I had contacted several Vizsla organizations including Vizsla Club of America when I was researching breeders.) I did ask Gaila even though they were celebrating their 40 year anniversary, why such an amazing promotion? She said their anniversary was July 26, if I remember correctly, but also they were taking a 3 weeks vacation and she preferred that she found good homes for the puppies before they left. Although she had people to care for all her dogs, she thought best to get homes for the puppies before their trip. Lastly, Gaila sends you home with a bunch of goodies for your pup along with some instructions. For me, she even included a couple of things for my 7 yr old V at home. I felt like I was treated like someone getting one of her pups at her regular rate! Better yet, I felt like I found someone that I could have a long term relationship regarding the Vizslas!

We have both wanted a vizsla for a long time and when we saw the anniversary sale post on their Instagram account, we reached out to Gaila right away. She explained the process to us so we filled out our application online and she reached out to us after she had time to review our responses. We made an appointment as soon as possible, had time to experience the puppies personalities for about 10 minutes, and picked out our perfect puppy for adoption. They gave him a quick bath while we got the paperwork filled out and they gave us some helpful information on how to clean his ears, etc. Gaila gave us a blanket, a toy, and a few other little items to help Scout feel comfortable his first few days at home. We were also able to purchase a bag of dog food from Evening Star Kennels and they even loaded the giant bag into the trunk for us. We took Scout home and read all the super helpful information Gaila provided in the red folder of paperwork on how to train your puppy, supplies to make sure you have, etc. Overall, this has been an amazing experience and we already love our sweet, snuggly puppy! Evening Star Kennels helped us find our dream dog and we couldn't be more appreciative of their helpfulness and support in the process.

Luna engaged in a lot of leash pulling and some reactivity when she would see other dogs. Luna is now able to walk calmly and does not overreact when another dog is around or near her. Nova is an anxious pup and her board and train helped her be exposed to public areas, while working on her obedience, learning to settle, gained more confidence in herself and does really well with leash walking. Raymond was thorough and explained things with care and patience on how to continue their training at home, answered any question and concerns we had and provided us with feedback when he had us practice the tools he used with our girls. Def would recommend and come back for extra support in the future if needed.

Wow! Our dog came back calm, orderly, and OBEDIENT! After a month long stay and many many wonderful updates multiple times per week we are confident he has made at least a 90% improvement on his bad behaviors and is able to calmly behave not only around us but his reactivity to other dogs has made a tremendous improvement. Shannon and Sierra are STELLAR! I'd also like to mention they did a home drop off for us (since I'm still heavily pregnant) and spent over an HOUR with my husband and I going over all of the new things he has learned + even took a walk with us in the neighborhood to address another issue we had with reactivity. We were left with a sheet of all his new & enforced behaviors to keep track of along with super chewer toys and treats. Excellent, excellent, excellent experience with this team and I highly recommend anyone who needs this service to pull the trigger and go for it! You will not regret your decision!
