I have spent thousands at Furniture Fair in the past and enjoyed the products and service but it was always at the Florence location. It's time to upgrade some furniture (couch, tables, etc) and I just happen to be in Alexandria so I stopped at this location. My wife, daughters, and I walked all the way around the store and was not approached even though we passed a few sales reps. At first it was nice but after seeing a couple pieces we liked we started looking around to see no one in sight. As we made our way back to the front we see all the reps waiting by the door for customers (ironic since we had been there for 20-30 minutes or so). We just left there to do our shopping elsewhere. I would not recommend going to Alexandria Furniture Fair if you are actually looking to purchase something. read more

I came to Yelp a few weeks ago to leave a scathing angry review. A piece of our furniture was less than a year old and experienced a break, the insurance plan purchased didn't cover it. But I decided that it was worth speaking to the store manager about it to let them try to help me solve the problem. I've been a customer here for over 10 yrs and was ready to walk away. Why am I leaving 5 stars? The store manager took the time to call me and hear my concerns. And he took action and provided feedback to solving my problem. We found an agreed solution that fixed my furniture in time for the holiday weekend. My husband I first ordered a sectional and recloner from Watson's just because we had a card there and it was decent sofa. We waited 2 monthe for delivery. We kept getting the run around. Frustrated we cancelled with them and on a whim went to Furniture Fair. Our sales person Greg was great. Stayed with us the entire time, but he wasn't over bearing, just there to answer and give input if needed. We purchased a sectional and recliner with him. He helped with financing and we got our furniture in 2 weeks. Amazing! We enjoyed shopping there so much we just purchased our bed there, through Greg, which is being delivered tomorrow. My wife and I went in to look, get ideas and prices for our new home furnishings. Before you know it my wife decided she wanted several items and then wanted to look to buy more for our new home. Eamon Mahony was the sales rep that took care of us. He was patient, very knowledgable, and helped my wife and I decide in about $10K worth of furniture over about a 3-4 hour period. He stuck with us all the way. The dining room table, couch and a chair were all special order items along with many in stock items. We were closing on our new home soon and wanted to hold the items with a minimal hold deposit for a short period of time and Eamon made that available to us. He also was able to provide discount on the spot that make the haggling over prices not an issue. Eamon was great to work with and his knowledge of furniture and fabric/color coordinations helped a lot. Eamon did an outstanding job for us and we could not be happier unless we won the lottery. LOL If we need additional furniture we will ask for Eamon without hesitation. Thanks Eamon - great job! read more

So the selection at the showroom is good and they have (we thought) quality furniture. The Sales people were a little used car-sy and sold us a 'Extra Super Deluxe Protection Plan'... "if you spill something on the furniture or it even gets a scratch, we'll move heaven and earth to make it right"... The couch in the set cracked in half within 8 months! Seriously, the base of it broke in half before we could even get it paid off. So far they've sent two inspectors out to look at it (the first guy said "I'm the wrong guy, but that looks messed up.. they should fix that" - no ?%$#@). The concept that we are both working parents is lost on them. We were told they only had limited 2-hr windows in the middle of the day, which is worse than the cable company. It has yet to be fixed 3 months later, ~6 phone calls. We're thinking they are stalling for time to let the year warranty run out. We'll see if they replace it or try to fix it... which one do you think will happen?? If it was a car the insurance agency would just total it. Extra Super Deluxe Protection Plan my arse. Needed a new sectional from stock. Although there is not a large selection of what I wanted, Eamon very patiently showed me all he had. Found one, but wasn't in love with the included ottoman. Several days later, when Eamon was off, I spoke with Tiffanie, and she was also very patient helping me to choose an ottoman to replace the one that came with the other sectional. Although the staff is wonderful and it is probably the best furniture store around, beware of promised delivery dates! Part of my sectional came within two months and I was told it would be another two months for the other two pieces. Looks like it is doing to take a total of 10 months, if, in fact, they come in in July. It's always another two months and I am third in line. The other parts of the sectional are going to be worn out by the time the last two pieces ever get here. read more

So I buy a $2000 bed the end of November 2016... it's delivered with the foot board cracked in half. I call them to have it fixed. A week later someone comes out to look at it. Dude says, "I can't fix this, it needs to be replaced. Someone from the store will call you tomorrow." A week goes by and nobody calls me. I call the store and am like, "so.... you going to fix my bed?!" They don't know which man they sent to my house and they never received his information so they have no history of him checking out my bed.... but the woman ensures me her supervisor will call me that same day. Another week goes by and guess what!? Nobody has called me. I call them today at 9:15 am and they are closed. I left a thorough message... let's all hope someone calls me today!!! It is now November 2017. I have had to have a tech come to my house three times to fix my bed. He ensures me that I did in fact buy a pos bed. The entire bed is held up by three hollow pegs on extended screws. The pegs bend, snap and completely come off of the frame. Thus causing the frame to literally bend and the mattress ending up on the floor. My bed was held up by pallets my boyfriend shoved under it!!! We've had to sleep on the floor a total of weeks waiting on new parts. The tech guy even sent us extra parts in the mail for the next time it broke!!! A manager comes out, tells me to come to the store and pick out a new bed. I go there, pick out a new bed. They tell me someone will call me tomorrow with a delivery date. Three days go by, nobody calls. So I call them. They say oh yeah, we have all the parts now.... well I purchased the only floor model you had so... anyways! They show up today to take my old bed away and set up my new bed. Guess what!? They are missing the entire center piece of my brand new bed..... they have called the store and are waiting to hear back from them. I seriously could not make this story up!!! They cannot find the part, so they will have to "build" one. But it's okay because they know the dimensions... Also!!!! I bought a bedroom set from them five years ago. I recently moved and somehow in the process lost the bolts that hold the bed frame and headboard together. I went back today and they said that they could order new bolts from the manufacturer but it would take several weeks to get them. They did have the same bed on display, so Alex pulled up the mattress and box springs, took out one of the bolts and suggested that I take it down the road to Lowes where I could probably find identical bolts. I did find the right size bolts at Lowes, saved me a lot of time and expense. Thank you Alex! read more

I will NEVER make another purchase at FURNITURE After making a large purchase nearly five years ago, my husband and I were suckered into purchasing the NO USE NO LOOSE Protection Plan. I begged for something in writing at the time of the purchase, but NEVER GOT A CERTIFICATE for the plan. TODAY, I found out why! I wrote down notes after our purchase for that reason. Of course the plan NEVER COVERED the defective leather sofa or love seat that began tearing at the seams within a year. It would, however, cover accidental punctures by grandchildren, but fortunately our grandchildren are taught to value and care for furniture and other item. Therefore we had NO CLAIMS. When I called today, the PLAN went from paying a matching cost for new purchases in order to get back the money we put down to purchasing something TWO TIMES the value! How convenient AND DECEPTIVE! I also bought within a year, a couple of bar stools. Of course, one was defective from the get-go and it took over four months to finally get a short leg replaced. I wouldn't doubt FURNITURE FAIR will consider that a claim and not give me any of that NO USE NO LOOSE bogus PROTECTION PLAN BACK. VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER read more

Recently, my wife and I moved into a new townhome in Alexandria, Kentucky. We went to Furniture Fair in Cold Spring. Our salesperson, Travis Burgin, and his manager Amra, helped us every step of the way. Their expertise and suggestions were invaluable. They were accommodating and very personable. Travis was extremely patient with us as we went through the process of selling our home, so we could then finalize the purchase of our new furniture which truly looks stunningly beautiful in our new townhome. He truly went the extra mile to be sure we were completely satisfied with each item we had purchased. In addition, a shoutout to the movers in Truck 18 - Iyad, Dre, and Evan - who did a fantastic job moving our new furniture into our townhome. Well, after 4 grand in furniture and 300 bucks in a protection plan, we are left with a broken sofa, a broken chair and a table with the finish coming off of it. We were told that the protection plan doesn't cover any of it. But in our paperwork it clearly states that it covers "breakage of frames" and "gouges, dents, scratches and chips that penetrate the finish" So we bought furniture that was subpar, and even with a protection plan we are left with a $4000 pile of crap. In August of 2015 my wife and I received the furniture we ordered. A three custioned couch, and two Smith Brothers (by Synergy VSN P-792-86) lounge chairs which I believed to be leather but instead were actually BONDED LEATHER. The store and the manufacturer guaranteed the chairs for 12 months. In 16 months the leather began to come off the chair I used the most. Immediately I went to the Cold Springs/Highland Heights store and informed the Manager on duty who made copies of my documentation and said she would pass it on to the General Manager who would then contact us as soon as possible. That was January 4th 2017. They did send a technician to my home on January 9th 2017 who took pictures and said there was not much he could do about this but he would pass his report on to whomever. We paid $450.00 a chair which was $900.00 total for garbage. I am still waiting for the general manager to contact me and it is now June 1st 2018. My family, friends, and neighbors have seen the chair and can't believe what they are seeing. The other chair is for show and we don't sit in it so the leather is still on it. We went shopping for a kitchen table yesterday at Furniture Fair. I always panic walking into places that operate on commission. I happened to have caught a former Young Marine out of the corner of my eye. Corey Wolfe was the first thing I shouted when I walked in. I had no idea he worked there. Corey was so nice and professional. He was not pushing us to the most expensive items. He is very knowledgeable about the furniture and the makers.
