Even with Covid they took all the proper precautions. He left me alone and did not bother me at all until I had questions about the different beds. This made for a really comfortable experience allowed me to have time to really consider each mattress. He told me a little bit about the company and how all the mattresses are made right here in Cincinnati and was very honest about the whole process. I went home and talked to my fiancé at the time and I definitely felt like this is someplace I wanted to go back to. So I went back and spoke to somebody new who also just gave me my space to be able to try out the bed I preferred again. We decided to pick one of the orthopedic mattresses with a medium firmness and we absolutely love it! It is so comfortable and we got it for a great price. We loved how all the prices were listed there in the store and there was no guessing or negotiating. Even during Covid we got it within two weeks. We also ordered a beautiful Amish frame which is super sturdy, simple, and elegant. We chose to have the furniture delivered to the door and not set up due to us being out of town and a family member receiving the furniture. It was great they were right on time and they called multiple times just to let us know where they were. There was nothing wrong with the mattress or the frame it was exactly as we expected. It's time to upgrade some furniture (couch, tables, etc) and I just happen to be in Alexandria so I stopped at this location. My wife, daughters, and I walked all the way around the store and was not approached even though we passed a few sales reps. At first it was nice but after seeing a couple pieces we liked we started looking around to see no one in sight. As we made our way back to the front we see all the reps waiting by the door for customers (ironic since we had been there for 20-30 minutes or so). We just left there to do our shopping elsewhere. I would not recommend going to Alexandria Furniture Fair if you are actually looking to purchase something.

Recently, we went back to their store to purchase a couch, swivel chair and ottoman. We were met by Carolynn (owner) and selected a couch and ottoman by Smith Brothers and tried several swivel/gliders but none "fit". Carolynn checked dimensions of a Smith Brothers chair online and recommended it. I repeatedly stated I did not feel comfortable buying a chair I couldn't sit in first but she was very convincing that the dimensions were what I was looking for. She was extremely helpful in picking out fabrics that blended well together but that's where the story goes awry. The furniture was delivered and I immediately called her after sitting in the chair. I explained that my feet didn't even touch the floor and the chair didn't fit. She told me to come back into the showroom and select another chair and she would "work with me" on it. She said they would take the original one back for a small restocking fee. She said she was busy with another customer (which I totally understand) and told me to take fabric home and call her to proceed with order. I called her three times on three different days and left messages but she would not return my call. I finally called and left a message that I found it hard to believe that over a four-day period, someone was too busy to make a five minute phone call. She finally returned my call the fifth day. It was then she informed me that they set their restocking fee on a "case by case" basis and that the restocking fee on my chair that cost $1,799 would be $700!!! I told her that seemed a bit extreme but she again insisted it was a case by case basis without explaining how she derived that that astronomical restocking fee. I refuse to pay this unreasonable restocking fee of almost 40% when she would place the chair on her showroom floor and resell it to another customer for the price she sold it to me for in the first place......especially when I was insistent to her I was skeptical of buying a chair I couldn't sit in for fit first. They have lost a long time customer.....she has made it clear she doesn't care. Bottom line is, she is great on the sale but if you have an issue, you may as well hang it up as she will not make anything right.

Location is a little off of the beaten path, but the quality and valuable are honestly unbelievable. After looking at beds for thousands of dollars for weeks I walked out out of sleep importers very satisfied. Our mattress and box spring was delivered the same day for a fraction of the price. We love our Tempur cloud luxe! If you are looking for a quality mattress for an incredible value, you should start at Sleep Importers!

We weren't sure about purchasing these items due to…read moretheir, "All sales are final_No refunds" policy and not knowing how long it would take to receive the furniture. The salesman repeatedly told us, "I wouldn't lie to you" and "you have my word" in regards to being able to cancel the order despite their store policy. He even wrote, "has word" next to the policy on the invoice statement. After asking to cancel just one of the ottomans 3 months later it turns out that they would lie to you and that their word doesn't mean a thing. We were instead given excuses about why we couldn't get our money back and they couldn't understand why lying to their customers to make a sale was bad for business. They don't deserve anyone's business.
