It's based solely on the booking process. I was able to book an appointment on Sunday for Monday morning, but they called early Monday and said they couldn't make it until Tuesday. That caused me to miss out on other companies that had Monday availability and wasted valuable time on something we needed done as soon as possible. They need to get their scheduling system figured out.

He said $99-$175! ‍ So I put on Facebook any recommendations and got a one man show company that came and cleaned for $99 and no service charge fee. ‍‍‍ I do have to say when I called SOS to cancel my appointment to repair they waived the service charge fee after looking at my scenario so the company does have some good employees.

He told us the furnace was putting out extremely high levels of carbon monoxide and that we needed to replace our furnace immediately. He quoted me $5,000. I told him I was going to get a second opinion. We had another service provider over that afternoon and they said they did not detect any carbon monoxide and that it was perfectly safe. I'm certain that if they tried to convince me that I needed a new furnace by stating it was unsafe due to carbon monoxide that they have used this same tactic on others and will likely do it again. Kevin (the inspector) was very knowledgeable and answered all of my random questions that came from being a first time homebuyer.
