My senior golden retriever is not a huge fan of being groomed and she hates the blow dryer. Allison and Doug are so patient and gentle with her, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Loki gets so excited about seeing Allison, she forgets, at least momentarily, that there's a bath in her future. In every way, you can tell that Allison and Doug love animals and take pride in the work that they do. Even Buddy the shop dog gets in on the act, greeting customers and making everyone feel welcome. It's hard to put into words the good feeling I get as I watch Allison snuggling and cuddling with my dogs as I pull away. I know they are in the safest, most loving hands imaginable. Allison will let Loki air-dry to save her the terror of the blow dryer. That means several brush outs and nearly a full day at the Spa. Been coming to this place for my 2 dogs for over 2 years regularly every month. I liked them because it was close to my house at the time and good prices. Over the years I would noticed certain things that were concerning. First I noticed the owners were definitely tweaking on drugs most of the times I went in there or arguing. They would keep my dogs all day almost 10 hours. I understand it's just 2 people there but having my dogs be miserable in a kennel for over 9 hours wasn't right. When I went to pick up my dogs they both would be shaking every time. I always ask for short cut, cut nails, and ear cleaning. I never checked because I trusted they did their job but no. My last straw was when I noticed my dog walking weird I looked at her paws and her nails were so long they where in bedded in her paws I had to go to the vet for them to remove her nails from her hand. I would regularly go every month to this place so her nails shouldn't have been that bad. The only reason I kept going with all these red flags is because it was the only place I can afford at the time. Pet lovers PLEASE be aware of these people. read more

Was a good place to go. Took in both our dog and cat and neither seemed traumatized. Use to be able to text or call cell phone. No longer in service. I left 2 messages on business phone to set up an appointment for our dog with no return call. That was a week and half ago. Thus 3 stars only. Will be finding a new place. read more

We needed to get our older cat groomed because of excessive mats in her fur. They did an awesome job and she looks fantastic. They were patient and caring with our sweet girl and communicated with us before and during the process. I highly recommend them and will be using them again. Very sweet people! Picked my dog up couple hours later, I noticed they over cut my dogs hair in the front and shaved his underneath area which I asked them to cut not completely shave now my dog is licking, They said they would so his nails well they cut them but did not us a deimmel so when I got home I had to file.my dogs nails they were over cut and sharp and chipped, I wanted no perfume shampoo and used percunex shampoo. The haircut was over cut and uneven and I specified to th4 e groomer my need a for my dog and rhey cut uneven and cut the nails really bad brittle my dog has been licking..now his underside by where he was fixed. Nice but did not listen to my instructions on what I wanted groomed.for my dog. Credit debit machine down had to pay cash. The owners are very sweet and nice but should use a drinmel when doing dogs nails. read more

Great people ! Husband and wife run this cute little dog grooming spot . It doesn't look like much from the outside , like a little hole in the wall spot in Rio Linda but pop your head in one day and you will see it's so full of love !! They are always very busy when you go in with at least 3-4 dogs they are boarding and the dogs are so happy there ! Always receiving love and attention ! I have been taking my two small dogs here for about 3 yrs now and I wouldn't go anywhere else to have them bathed and their nails clipped ! One of my dogs is a little snippy and doesn't like to have his nails clipped but he actually trusts them both to clip them as they are so calm with him . Owner/groomer Alison stayed an hour and a half after closing time to finish up my dog, not because she has lousy time management (she doesn't), but because my dog was acting nervous and stressed when I left her there. Alison could have rushed to get my dog finished up so she could leave work on time, but seeing that my dog was stressed, she let her relax a bit before starting in on her. She even massaged her while she was in the bath to help her relax. She went slowly with her, so that Abbey would feel more comfortable. I really appreciate the extra time spent and caring that Allison gave. I would not hesitate to recommend her. read more

Very suspect groomers, I just moved in to beautiful Rio Linda I was going to take my sweet little Loofis @ 9 am for a nice spring time cut last Saturday but she(Alison) had me waiting for an hour plus outside of the shop & when she arrived she claimed they don't open until 10 but the signs clearly said 9 am. So like any ordinary person I was willing to give them a second chance and asked if they could at least be punctual when setting up appointments & the red hair lady Alison got angry and started yelling obscenities at me and threatening me & than called her male coworker who was sleeping in the back to assist her with dealing with me and as I got closer to the counter I saw prescription drugs all next to the computer needless to say I was stunned and stormed out I have never seen any thing like this before when it comes to dog grooming so I did the proper thing and filed a report with the Rio Linda Police Department to avoid anything like this again.
