I've been coming here for nearly 6 years. Although all of the groomers are great, we typically request Katie. Everyone is really friendly and they are flexible. I'll always bring my pooch here for grooming. read more

Elverta Sudzy Paws - Groomed beautifully - Pet Groomers Near Me - Elverta, California

All three of our fur babies have had the privilege of being pampered at Sudzy Paws. The first thing you'll notice when you walk through the door are dogs and cats on grooming tables for everyone to watch. The groomers do not hide behind walls at Sudzy Paws. Every groomer knows each breeds hair types and textures. Here's an example of they're knowledge, the Spitz breed have a double coat because they're Nordic sled dogs. Two groomers kindly educated our family on their hair type and texture while begging us not shave their hair for Summer. Why? Because their double coat keeps them cooler. Each groomer excelled doing a scissor cut on our Spritz dog's. They can give you the latest trends too, if that's your thing. Plus, they use doggy perfume! Your best friend will smell amazing on the way back home. Upon leaving your fur child will be sporting the cutest bandana to match the current season and holiday. For example, pumpkins for fall. Red white and blue for July etc.,. Take aways, they're affordable, every groomer genuinely cares for your fur child and gives attention to each client. Every groomer we've met genuinely likes what they do and it shows through their passion. I cannot honestly recommend a single groomer because every groomer has been amazing to work with, they're all top notch! Thanks Sudzy Paws for blessing our family since 2013! read more

We've been a few times now, and Sherman absolutely loves them. He would happily spend the entire day with his groomer, giving her kisses. He comes back so soft and fluffy, and he always smells amazing. read more

Sorry it did not work for me made appointments to groom my dog I got there a half hour early and walked my dog around the parking lot to unstress the process .Brought my dog in on his allowed time for a highly capable groomer and recommended for my dogs by the appointment person . Two times there and the person was not there for appointment time. What gives?? So both times there they could not handle him but each time I gave them advanced notice of him and how he is. I was forced to find a new groomer on short notice due to my groomer retiring suddenly. UGH. Worrying ensued! Luckily, I remembered my old dog park crew had recommended Elverta Sudzy Paws highly in the past and Sudzy also had 5 stars on YELP. After a week of procrastinating, I called and was able to get an appointment at Sudzy Paws with Dale in 3 weeks (after originally setting one up for 5 weeks out) as a client had just canceled. I was so relieved to have a new place to take him. By the time we got to Sudzy Paws, Teddy was a full month late for his grooming (bath, haircut, nail trim, ear cleaning/trim, and blow-dry). Not only were they super nice about everything their services were also affordable. My dog, who usually doesn't take well to new groomers, did great with Dale he both liked and trusted her, which is very important to have with a groomer. Plus, extra nice bonus, Dale gave Teddy the best haircut he has had in a couple of years, I am definitely going to make Dale our new regular full-service groomer and have already booked Teddy's next appointment. read more

The ladies working there are nice. The grooming is decent, but the place has an unpleasant smell which is surprising since they are washing dogs. It's okay in a pinch. read more

I've had my fair share of pain at all the big companies of pet grooming. But this place is the best. Lisa grooms and loves all four of my dogs, I know they are in good hands at any time they come from her. Would 110% recommend this place to any and all dogs. In case that doesn't convince you, I have an energetic one-year-old pitbull German Shepherd puppy, Lisa know how to manages the team. Two skittish Chihuahuas, and then 180 pound am staff. She can do it all! read more

This place is awesome- home of the free nail trim?! That's unheard of anywhere else! I honestly didn't realize they did nail trims for free until I went some months ago and a technician came out to my car when I got there, carried my small corgi inside and in what felt like about 5 minutes, she was carrying my corgi back and putting her in the car again for me! So funny, she apologized for taking so long and explained it was because everyone inside were petting my corgi Haha. The service here is phenomenal! I need to go back for another nail trim soon and will certainly bring cash to tip (they only accept tips in cash). read more

Great local company, got me in same day and were very reasonably priced and did a great job. I appreciate them.

We had been looking for a place to take our fur baby who was in some serious need for some grooming. Not only were they super nice, the price was very affordable. Our dog who usually doesn't take well to new folks just loved Angelik (the owner) ... we're definitely going to make this a regular thing, cause he deserves it, and it's small price to pay for our fur baby feeling good and looking even better. And the service was phenomenal. read more

This place is a life saver. I hate cutting my dog's nails but now I don't have to worry cause the lovely ladies here are happy to do it for me. I was in and out so quick I don't think my dog figured out what happened. They were very sweet and took their time with my dog since she gets stressed out easily. Definitely will be coming back here regularly. So glad to be a neighbor:) read more

Okay, I'm not a client, but I wanted to give some very good feedback about this place. I'm a dog trainer and a dog's emotional well being is very important to me. One of my friends has been bringing her dog here for a couple of years and they are very patient and kind to him and they go slow. He's much better about being handled now and no longer snarls and growls when being brushed or touched. This is amazing for a groomer to have this effect on a dog. Plus he always looks great! Tonight a puppy that is attending my classes came in looking all fresh with her bows and her first cut and grooming earlier today. But what impressed me was how playful and confident she was tonight. She was in a great mood after being at the groomers all day which is totally unheard of. She was confident with the other off leash puppies and played and strutted around with the toys in her mouth, where she had been quite timid before. I don't know what happens at the groomers shop but it's a rare find and they are working miracles! read more

Wayne Devoll Very disappointed that they wouldn't groom my little boy as I asked. This is the THIRD time they have shaved his tail against my wishes. Their excuse is mats when I made SURE a fine comp would pass through his fur that very morning. No contact before they did it AGAIN. If grooming a tail properly can't be done, at least call, I would have been right there. A call from the owner later was rude and very aggressive. Not a place I would ever take my boy again. read more

I found Sudzy Paws on short notice after walking out of Petsmart, Natomas( after waiting there for 15 minutes without being helped - by those dreadful girls who should be working at jack in the box, bad vibe there) Kathy at Sudzy Paws took my kitty on short notice for a bath and nail trim. I could tell the people working there were really enjoying what they do. Great customer service and very friendly. Cats aren't generally thrilled with bath time but mine came home clean, relaxed, and happy with her new St Patrick's Day bow. Their prices are super reasonable too. We will definitely be back! read more

I made this appointment last minute and they were really accommodating, fitting me in on Saturday at 3 pm. I was kind of nervous leaving him at a new groomer but they were very friendly and let me know they were going to be about and hour and a half. Once I arrived he was still getting groomed but I watched the process and the groomer was very gentle with him while she was completing everything! There were quite a few people that came to pick up their dog and I asked them how they liked the service, all of them said they were pretty happy with it and keep coming back. read more

They take great care of my 106 pound Golden. I love this place. I have been going here for years now. Good pricing and great service.

My mother lives in rio linda and has mentioned multiple times that I should bring my dog in to get groomed here. I was looking for a place to take my morkie for his first hair cut and thought I would give it a chance. At first I was super skeptical due to the location almost looks like an abandoned building. But immediately upon arrival Katie put me at ease that I was leaving my loving pup in good hands. She was so gentle with him trying to earn his trust. The last time I took my puppy to petsmart to be groomed they told me it would be about 4 hours and after 6 hours they couldn't get the job done. However at Sudzy Paws an hour after I dropped my pup off Katie called and said he was ready to go. He looked great and the cute bandana was the perfect extra touch. I look forward to bringing him back for all future grooming. Thanks Katie & Elverta Sudzy! read more

Quick and simple review here- I got exactly the appointment I wanted a few days after calling and could have had a next day appointment! I was welcomed and they took my overgrown shaggy dog right away and didn't make me feel bad at all that it had been way to long since her last grooming. They were all super nice but I think Kate (??) did the grooming for my dog. She needed to just be shaved down and they did exactly what I wanted. Affordable prices too. I recommend them and will return! read more

Of all the groomers we've tried in the Sacramento area over the last 9 years Dale at Sudsy Paws is by far the best. She listens to what we want for our Furball and always delivers. She never overbooks like all the other places we've tried so our boy doesn't have to wait to be groomed. In fact, she's usually ready and waiting for him when we arrive. And when she tells us what time our boy will be ready she is always right on so it's easy to plan our day. Dales's prices are exceptional and a bath and cut also include nail trimming and anal gland cleaning (both of which we would NEVER try ourselves). We drive from Citrus Heights to Sudsy Paws and it's worth it. Book early as Dale is very popular! read more
