We have 2 scruffy adopted girls who can be fearful of strangers, and Allie is wonderful with them…read more I let our Shi Poo go way too long in between groomings (sorry Allie), and she does a great job. I drop them off, and sometimes it takes a while when she is busy, but often, there are other dogs to play with. It is cage free (except for cats), so your dogs need to be dog social. The photos don't do them justice, because they are spazzing right now.

Edit: I am upset with the service, and while I cannot…read morepinpoint whether this red mark was caused by the grooming or was previously there, I will not be returning. I was aware that my dog had a hotspot on her front leg prior to the appointment, but she has never had a hotspot near her butt before. The owner noted after my initial review that this red irritation could be from an anti-fungal shampoo she used, which I did appreciate honesty about. While it's possible this could be food-related, my experience with other groomers has never resulted in an issue like this. We also brought in our other dog, an Aussie, for grooming on the same day and were very happy with her service. However, given my experience with my retriever mix, I will be taking her elsewhere in the future. I found the professionalism in the owner's texts to me after my initial review aggressive, and this is further leaving me with no desire to return. Initial review prior to revisions: I have a retriever mix that I shave down in the spring. I'm assuming the shaver was hot and it burned my dogs skin. Allie was curious as to whether this was a hotspot from her food. While yes, I do feed my dog the purina pro plan chicken and rice, that is the food our vet recommended she go on. Never once has she had a spot like this on her butt. My bf picked her up so I wasn't there to advocate. I feel bad when my pup came home with this raw spot. I put some hydrocortisone lotion on it and it healed in a day. My pup has never came back from the groomers with open wounds so unfortunately, I won't bring my dog back here. I will take her to pet smart where I can watch the groom from the window. I would've really loved a "it's possible it's food but I may have also nicked her skin." Our other dog went in at the same time and she looks great!!! I just care about this pup so much it broke my heart to see this spot

I wasn't going to write this review but was told by friends who saw this picture to say something…read more For the first couple of years I have taken my dog here and they did a pretty good job for a good price. Then the price increased and I had to pick a different stylist because the one I usually go to was fully booked. I know my baby was matted and most likely needs to be shaved. And I was okay with it. But when I picked her up she looks horrible. I didn't expect her to look like this and what worse was I paid a-lot of money for them to do this! So just be careful with they said, your dog has to be shaved. You may want to walk away to not get her back looking like this.

We recently adopted a pup from Front Street who will absolutely NOT let anyone trim her nails. A…read morefriend suggested I try this place and I am SO glad I did. Alex took her time and remained totally calm as my dog thrashed around, screamed like she was being killed and attempted to eat and claw my face off. When my dog sprayed her anal glands then pooped on the table, she didn't bat an eye. Eventually, we got my pup into a little tiny muzzle and finished up her front paws. I'm so grateful for this place and the fact that they did not once make me feel like a bad pet owner because her nails had gotten so long waiting on a vet appointment. They also didn't charge extra for all of the commotion and anxiety my pup brought along for the visit. This is my new go-to spot for all things grooming!!

I made a trip over to Bath & Biscuits because we needed to use their services, and before heading…read morethere I did what I thought was my due diligence. I checked the website and even called ahead, and nowhere did I see anything saying they would be closed. Unfortunately, when we got there, there was a tiny sign on the door letting everyone know they were closed for the week for training. We definitely weren't the only ones who missed the memo either. While we were there, other people were pulling up looking for their services as well. I completely understand closing for training. That makes total sense, and honestly, I appreciate a business taking the time to make sure their employees are properly trained. I just wish there had been some kind of notice on the website or the voicemail before making the trip over. A quick heads-up would have saved us, and apparently quite a few other people, from making the drive for nothing. Just something to keep in mind if you're planning a trip over.

Once again, Tony saved the day! No one can cut my dogs nails, but we come in here and he just sits…read morestill and lets Tony cut his nails. Whatever black magic that is, I can only recommend coming here to groom your dog. Of course, since we were here. We also gave Max a bath with some oatmeal shampoo for his dry skin. You really can't beat the great tubs and having all the soaps towels, etc., that you need available. We never use the dryer because by the time I'm done Max is already so traumatized and he dries pretty fast once we walk around the block a little bit. The pricing is also very reasonable. The bath and nail trim was only $28 for Max, who is about 78 pounds. I'm just giving you the weight because I know a lot of places charge by weight and that will give you an idea for your own doggie. Parking is a bit trickier now that they've put in the new bike pass, but we usually find the parking space around the corner pretty easily. Thank you Tony!

They use positive reinforcement for their training method. Midtown Mutts also offers dog walking, 1:1 sessions and pet sitting. My neighbor uses them for pet sitting and she loves them. You pay based on how many visits and the length of time you want them to stay. They take pictures everyday they visit to show you how your pet was that day. Pros: they have a membership and you can choose 1 or 5 classes a month. These classes don't roll over if you don't use them - I made the mistake of thinking they do. They have a calendar where it lists the classes, time and topic. The calendar is a bit clunky and confusing so it takes a bit to figure out how to navigate. If they don't have too many people sign up and you need help in a certain area, they accommodate your request. They have answered my numerous questions and been very patient. I can say my puppy REALLY enjoyed class because he was showered with treats also as a lab, he never turns food down!
