I have been taking my girls to Katie at Sudzy Paws for quite some time now and I couldn't be happier. Other groomers at other shops have not listened, and have done things I didn't want done. For example, expressing anal glands. When I first brought my two to Katie she listened and has done everything perfect every time. I love my two dogs very much, and feel so safe taking them there. So grateful to have found the best care !!! I highly recommend this little out of the way shop. They are wonderful and worth the short drive to Elverta. read more

I found this place by searching for a groomer that was close to me. I live in Antelope, and there is a Yuppy Puppy, but it doesn't fit me and the prices are somewhat ridiculous. I also wanted someone else to wash my dog, that's why I go to a groomer. Not to go and do it Myself, I can do that at home. I called them and found out Sudsy Paws will cut your dogs nails for free. FREE. I thought that was amazing. The place is kinda out there, only 5 miles away from me so not by much. This place is not upscale, but it's very friendly. The people are really nice. And they don't cost an arm and a leg for their services. They did my two pugs for $15 a piece. That included a wash, dry, brush, ears cleaned, annals glands squeezed, and nail clipping(it's already free anyways) When I picked them up, they looked great. Their fur was so clean and soft. My female got a pink bandana and my male got a red-orange bandana. Sudsy Paws do a fantastic job for a great price. definitely better than Petsmart/Petco. They even called me the next day to make sure I was satisfied. They are definitely the groomer I am going to from now on. And where there are located looks divey, but that does not translate to how great their service is. read more

I don't have any prior experience with groomers but one day I needed my dogs nails cut and didn't want to deal with the hassle of producing his veterinary shot records that are required at big chains like Petco and Petsmart. Sudzy Paws found me a time slot the same day that I called. I brought in my dog, he was terrified. The lady that greeted us took him from me so naturally he couldn't even be scared anymore. I picked him up about an hour later. He looked great! They are very thorough and he had the cutest bandana on. Very affordable as well. I pay $20 for nail trim, bath, and whatever it is they do to make his hair look so nice. read more

Great with animals. Take my pug there he loves it. Smells nice no scratchy g, friendly staff. Worth every penny.

My border collie was groomed there about... My border collie was groomed there about three weeks ago they failed to call me and tell me she was done although they claimed they did I had no missed calls or voicemails I finally called them and they said ya shes been done for hours so i rushed to pick her up a week after she was groomed my dog developed Kennel Cough and then passed it on to my other two dogs so it not only cost me the grooming fee but an additional 125.00 per dog I am not happy i will not recommend them EVER! read more

First of all, I would like to acknowledge the ladies here! They are super nice and friendly! I brought my pup here who is about 3years old and she's a black lab, we all know labs can be very active and hyper. After being turned away from pets smart at least twice, I knew I had to find a place that will bathe my pup, that's when I hopped on yelp and found this little gem in elverta! I don't know how they did it, but they were able to bathe my pup successfully! I really recommend this place for dogs that don't really enjoy bathing! read more

I have two rescue dogs from that are from Taiwan. They have been through a lot and are very scared. It was to the point of having to give medication for a nail trim. I tried that once and it still didn't work. Although my dog could barely walk. I started calling around even way outside my area. I got Dale on the phone. We talked for awhile. I drove 30 minutes with my 95 year old mom and my two dogs. Dale did it. She has done in a few fun minutes what others have tried for years. Since the first visit we jump in the car, enjoy the ride and have a fun trip to Sudsy Paws read more

I have to say I have been every groomer in the Sacramento area and generally have had bad experiences and bad prices. I am so happy that this shop is super close to my home, extremely affordable and my puppy loves the people here!! She was happy going in and happy coming out not to mention she smelt great and still does!!! She even got a little bandana that was super cute add on!!! The staff was very nice and helpful and even finished early and just gave me a call so I could pick her up! I will definitely be coming here again!!! :) read more

My dog is a complete nightmare when it comes to getting her nails clipped. This is the only place I trust. She screams at the top of her poor doggy lungs and the ladies there handle it beautifully. I don't know how yall do it but I'm extremely grateful. So is penny. read more

I found out about Sudsy Paws from a very good friend. It was the best recommendation that I have ever received. My American Eskimo Nanuq can be a handful. I had taken him many places prior to finding Sudsy Paws and no one could groom him properly. Once we found Larry at Sudsy Paws, I will never take him anywhere else. Nanuq is usually devil dog for Larry at first. Then he loves on Larry. I have never found a groomer that I have loved more. Nanuq comes home smelling good and looking so handsome in his beautiful new ascot. Everyone at Sudsy Paws is delightful. If you love your pet and want them to be wonderfully taken care of and pampered , take them to Sudsy Paws. Tell them Nanuq (AKA devil dog) and Roz sent you. read more

What can I say?! This place is great! My baby girl came out looking and smelling fantastic! My dog is a terror, let me tell you and I was worried that she would rip the groomers arm off but Sarah (I think that was her name? Young and full of smiles) came over to my pup sat down and bonded with her right away. This made me feel so good. She took her time which was about 2 hours and for $37 (I believe the cheapest around) Just incredible. It is not a fancy place by any stretch of the imagination but it was great service and my dog seemed very comfortable and looked great. I am so glad I found this place from Yelp!! :) read more

I am so happy with the service I receive at Sudzy Paws!! They are careful and meticulous with my fur babies. My cocker spaniels always come home looking lovely. read more

I went here because I needed to get away from Wagers (customer service sucks). Sudsy Paws has great service and groomed my two dogs to perfection. The place looks like a hole in the wall but don't let that scare you away. They keep everything in plain sight so every one can see how they treat their guest (dogs and cats). I live in Natomas and it was 10 min trip from my house. The prices are great and I found myself a new groomer for my dogs. read more

Just moved into this area and I wanted to get my dogs cleaned up before they're inside the new house. Sudzy Paws was able to get me in the morning after I called them. One of my dogs got scared and startled them as well but they seemed very cool about it as he didn't hurt anyone. If I bring him back, he'll be muzzed ahead of time. They were super nice people and had a clean shop. Good experience for us. read more

This was my dog's first visit to this groomer. He's a nervous dog with strangers. Well Courtney must be a dog whisperer because he settled down and was compliant very quickly. So now he's bathed, cut, brushed, and ready for action! We will certainly come back read more

I love that I am able to drop off XO a little bit before his appointment and when he is all ready for me I don't have to pick him up right away but when I am available! It makes running errands and getting my little guy groomed a lot more convenient! Forever a lifer here :). read more

After trying Yuppy Puppy and a mobile groomer and not finding anyone who could groom my Yorkie with a correct Teddy Bear cut. I took my dog to Sudsy Paws and was very pleased. Chico has been coming there for almost five years. Used to live in Rio Linda and it was convenient. Moved to West Sacramento and tried local places (lwhere they made him like look crap and charged a whole bunch more) but not the same. It is worth my 20 mile drive to take my baby there and he comes out happy and looking handsome. Love Kathy and her staff. read more

Another satisifed customer here. The pros of this place are. !.) It is clean. 2.) They are friendly and treated my dog gently, 3.) They don't require proof of a bunch of unnecessary vacinations, 4.) They do one dog at a time so your dog don't won't have to stay all day. It's easier on my dog to spend two hours rather than the six or seven that is the norm at some places. However, it is OK with them if you pick the dog up after work. 5.) they did a good job. 6.) Their prices were very reasonable. The only negative as other reviewers have noted is that it's a dumpy building, but to me that's a non issue. read more

My husband made an appointment with Elverta Sudzy Paws because our 8 month old puppy was due for another hair cut and cleaning. We had always taken her to PetSmart and was never satisfied with the work done or the fact that we had to pay over $75 each time. Sudzy Paws did such a wonderful job on our puppy for half the price. She came out perfectly with two pink bows tied on her ears. Customer service was great! Brittany was so friendly. We've already booked our puppy's next appointment! read more

I have been to many groomers and finally I found a place so close to home and so affordable and absolutely wonderful. Can't say enough how great of a job they did for my two dogs. Wash, ears, glands and nails for less than other groomers who only wash the dogs. Larry did my dogs. Got us in the same day we called. Will be going back every month. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! Took my small dog here after being referred from a family member. Drove up to the place and it was already sketchy looking. I wasn't aware that they don't do scissor cuts when I made the appointment. The girl Katie who works there looks like she's strung out on meth and is very fragile looking with scabs all over her body. I should of went with my gut instinct and not left my dog with them. I came back 2 hours later to my dog not even looking like he had a real hair cut. His paws were trimmed but the cut job on his legs and rear was so sloppy you could see the clipper indentions on his fur. I called back the follow business day to speak with the manager and she told me there was nothing she could do. VERY UNHAPPY read more
