Called to see if I could take my dog in last minute for bath and brush. She was able to take him in. He's very large with lots of hair. He came back fluffy and smelling great. The owner was friendly, the help, which was a very older lady was not very friendly. But I would come back again as Leonbergers have a very think coat which takes time to brush :) read more

CIGARETTES. When I pulled up to drop my moms dog off there was an old lady outside chain smoking.. SUPER gross! I sat and waited for her to finish so I didn't have to walk through a cloud of cancer but she lit another one! So I left. I definitely wouldn't want my moms dog smelling like nasty smoke. These people are a joke made an appointment, they told me a week out waited a week. Went in this morning mind you I live 45min away and have to be at work. Figured I'd drop dog off on my way to work. I get there and they tell me sorry we can't do your dog today his hair is to matted. I'm sorry how did they know his hair is to matted in the first place are they part time psychics? This is my favorite place to take my dogs for grooming. I have a rottweiler and pomeranian and they always know who my dogs are when I call and what I need. They are very flexible, get you in right away and take excellent care of my animals. Their prices are good too! I moved out of carmichael, but I always make the drive over because they are that good! read more

This place is amazing. The front desk girl is super sweet and they do a great job with my cockapoos. Both times I've come my dogs are done between 3-4 hours which is perfect because I don't want my babies gone longer than that. Prices are $60 a dog (might vary) which is worth every penny. I've tried a couple places around including Bonnies which was way too busy for me and they were impersonal, felt like they grabbed my dogs so fast and hardly listened to my directions. Hated Dawns Pet Palace with a passion. With Special Touch, I think it's safe to say I found my salon :) read more

Twice I have had an appointment to have my dog groomed and both times I called the shop after 3 hours to see if my dog was ready and they had not even started the grooming! So my dog was in a cage for 3 hours. They hurried and groomed her while I waited, but I will not return. It was hard to believe it happened a second time. read more

Sorry - not coming back. Took our 20lb pooch here three times for a grooming and clip. First two times, he returned clean and with the face clipped but nothing else. Tried to give them a chance, thinking I had not communicated. Third time specifically said he needs a GOOD haircut - even a shave if necessary. Got a call an hour later saying they couldn t groom my dog. He was biting and uncooperative. I was distressed as our dog had never displayed anything like this before. They charged me $35 to basically give him a bath. Took him to the groomer connected to our vet and explained he was biting and not cooperating. Two hours later, they had clipped and groomed him with no issues. They were perplexed as to what the problem had been. Clearly, Special Touch either didn t know what they were doing or maybe (hopefully not) cheated me. Won t return. They are nice but not friendly. read more
