I called and booked an appointment for my Yorkie and his brother as they weee in dire need at a grooming. Dawn was able to fit them in for the following afternoon. I arrive and I am in the check in area waiting to be helped. I gentleman looks walks away then comes back and asked if I have an appointment? I thought that was a little odd, but I replied yes! The hear a lady in the back saying something, but I couldn't understand what was said. A few moments later the lady that was in the back comes out and asked how I wanted the dogs cut, tell her a yorkie cut for both. Now, I knew they were going to have to work a miracle on Mav because my friend called herself giving him a haircut and butchered him. When it was time to pick them up Mav brother had a Yorkie cut, but Mav had a schnauzer cut which I wasn't a fan of and asked for them to fix it, which they did. I will say even though never asked for the heads to be dyed, I actually loved it and it gave them character. I would definitely bring them back again. Had an awesome first experience with Dawn's Pet Palace. My schnoodle has a ton of anxiety when it comes to the groomer and people more generally and after several bad experiences at big store groomers, we decided to give a local grooming place a try. We've tried getting our dog in to other local groomers in the past but they typically have far out booking dates, waitlists, or often aren't accepting new clients. We gave Dawn's a call and were told we could bring our dog in that same day. When I picked him up, he didn't seem overly anxious at all and I was told he was even giving lots of kisses during his groom! Not to mention, the teddy bear cut looked great. Complete 360 from our usual grooming experiences. I also love that the dogs are not locked up in cages for hours waiting their turn.... We look forward to returning in a couple months! read more

We had read great reviews and this place was a few blocks away from our new home. Dawn told my wife that our mini poodle would be $60 and set an appointment for 11am. When we dropped Apollo off to be groomed, we were told we could pick him up at 2pm. We scheduled other appointments around this time. My wife checked in at 2pm and was told Dawn was behind schedule, and we would need to come back later. We came back later and were told it was going to be $80, but she would knock $10 off for being so late. My wife reminded her that she was quoted $60 but Dawn refused to honor her word. She would not give my wife our Apollo until she paid the $70. Normally we tip very well, but because of the principle here we left no tip. Needless to say, we will never come back here. I brought my dog in for a meet and greet and she took him right then and gave him a quick trim and didn't even charge me. My Bentley seems to only like to be groomed by dawn. She got my half breed main coon cat in and did it right at the counter working with me so I didn't have to come in so early without the dogs, my cat is very big and shy guy and usually it takes like 5 minutes to get him out of the crate at the vet and usually the vet doesn't even try picking him up cuz he gets so scared and turns into a pokiemon ball- but she opened that crate and I swear he could sense her "Alpha" energy she got him out of the crate with one swoop and essentially made him her bitch I've never seen my cat handled so well even at the vet- she scooped him up with one hand clipped his toenails in I kid u not like 30 seconds All toes done and shaved him all up- her stern approach is EXACTLY what my cat needed- she said ur in my house now and he submitted immediately (which I can't even get him to do at home) I've never seen him so calm in anyone's arms mean while she throwing him around like a sac of potato's- in a good way- I'm honestly amazed at how much her energy calmed him and he didn't meow once or anything- I was worried about the dematting- but he showed zero sign of pain- and even though she was going fast she could tell when he was uncomfortable- she is 100 percent gonna be my go to groomer for all my cats!!! 100000% reccomend dawn- plus she not money hungry like these other groomers she seems to really care about the animals and works well with low budget read more

I have been taking my cocker spaniel to Dawn's for the last year and half for full grooms. I have been extremely pleased with both the quality of the cuts and how my dog is treated. Dawn has given me options for different grooming styles including a full cocker spaniel cut! It is so rare to find someone who knows how to do a proper formal cocker spanial cut. My dog comes out looking like a super star. I usually will send Dawn a text 1-2 weeks in advance proposing a time and date for the groom and will recieve a text back if that works. Dawn will call if there are any questions about the groom that crop up and when my dog is ready for pickup. The time from dropoff to pick up does vary per visit and I appreciate Dawn's flexiblity in squeezing me in for appointments. We definitely will continue to go to Dawn's for our girl's groom! read more

My fiancé was taking his pug to Petsmart for nail trimming and it was becoming a pain in the butt. Dawns place is so much closer for us and we decided to come in one day and ask about a nail trimming and she took him right back and did it while we waited! She was so good with him. Thank you so much Dawn. This is the only place I'll be bringing my dogs to. The first place I tried to take her to told me I needed to tranquilize my dog before getting her groomed due to how jumpy she was. I made a fb post asking for some help on ideas of where to take her. 3 people commented and all said dawn pet palace. I called and scheduled an app for Saturday morning. I gave her a heads up about what had happened with the previous groomer and how matted she was. Dawn told me she was good with hyper active and aggressive dogs. And she also said she would get the job done but wasn't so sure about how much detail she was going to be able to give. I took her there is morning for her appointment and by the end of the day we have a groomed dog everyone. And she is cute too. Dawn Did it. We will need to take her back for touch ups but oh my gosh. My girl I'm fostering made it through her first grooming experience and she is so soft. I really appreciate dawns honesty about not paying too much attention and time on detail and I also appreciate the her and her team just taking the time to show this poor dog some love and some grooming attention. I had recently adopted a cat with medium hair, and I knew it was important to get her groomed every so often due to the length of her coat. Although I looked up the benefits of getting my cat groomed and bathed, I figured asking the groomer for their opinion would be fruitful since they're professionals at what they do. When I first called, I was a bit surprised at how gruff and curt they were with what I had wanted for the appointment. I have to admit I was a bit put off by that, especially since it was my first time taking my cat to get professionally groomed, but not put off enough to not follow through with the appointment. Once I arrived for my appointment, I asked Dawn for her opinion on whether or not my cat should have a bath and whatnot. I told her that I mostly just wanted for her paw pads to be shaved since they were so ridiculously long, and also, for her nails to be trimmed. She took my cat to the back to examine her, and said a bath wasn't necessary since she was already clean. "OK," I thought, since she's a professional and I wanted to trust her opinion. She brushed through my cat's fur, shaved her paw pads, and trimmed her nails. At the time, they were not accepting card, so they were kind enough to let me go out and grab some cash from a nearby ATM. I wish I inspected my cat before taking her home, though, and that was my mistake. It looked as though some of her nails were still long and sharp whereas others weren't, so I ended up having to trim some of them myself anyway. The length of her paw pads were still noticeably long, as well. I sort of felt like it was rushed in a way, and I can't deny that I felt as though my experience inside the shop itself felt rushed in and of itself. I don't doubt that Dawn is good at what she does. Maybe I just had an off-day with this place, but I think I'll be looking towards other places to get my cat groomed for the foreseeable future. I did enjoy the inside decor, though! It might be off-putting to some, but I thought it showed a bunch of personality. It definitely reminded me of a Halloween store of some sort. read more

I started off looking for a mobile groomer to come and trim my spicy kitten's claws, but when I saw multiple reviews mentioning that Dawn was a cat whisperer, I had to give it a go... and they were RIGHT. I called to confirm this was a service offered, and she said to come in any time after 9, so when I got there in the afternoon during dog hours, cat in tow, I was a little leery of how it was going to go down. The kind gentleman at the counter said Dawn does it at any point during the day, and not to worry and offered me a seat while waiting. The décor was bright and fun, and felt like such a glam studio for pets. When ready, Dawn came out and took over. In a swift 45 seconds or less, she had Trixie out of her carrier, nails trimmed and back in her carrier like it was nothing... Usually she's screaming and flailing at my dad when he tries to trim her nails, so seeing this process reassured me that it is doable, and I will absolutely be returning to Dawn when the time comes again. At this time, she was only accepting cash payments, which I didn't have on me. They were okay with me running down to CVS to get cash, and then since the man at the counter was helping another customer I dropped it off next to him, and he still came out to my car to thank me and wish me on my way. Took my Pomeranian here on the recommendations of people at the dog park. That turned out to be a big mistake! The first appointment I dropped him off at 10 am but wasn't ready til 5:30 pm. Dawn apologized for the length of time, so I let it go. The second time, I took him in the same scenario. The 3rd & last visit was still an all-day affair, but this time, he had a horrible fur cut. His top coat was uneven & that is a big deal with a Pomeranian since the top coat will probably not grow back. Never again will I take my dog here. I love my dog. He's a loving, happy, healthy, playful, ball of energy. He's also stubborn , strong , and hard to handle when it comes to getting his nails cut . As in so difficult , that several groomers over the years have struggled and failed to cut his nails. As in so challenging, that even the vet and staff could not cut them. The last time my dog had his nails cut he had to be sedated. The vet suggested that I cut his nails, one nail at a time during his sleep ! Seriously , that's how considerable the problem is . Well short of him being sedated every time he get his nails cut , we really needed to find a groomer who could help us . I found Dawns Pet Palace on Yelp , by entering in the key words "difficult groom dog." I got my pup in the car and we drove on over with fingers crossed . I walked in without an appointment, and was greeted by Dawn. I explained the situation with my pup and she said " no problem , I specialize in difficult to handle dogs ." She was very confident. I was skeptical. As I walked back to the car to get my pup, I was silently wishing her "good luck ." O M G . Dawn is a miracle worker. Initially my pup was struggling against her for a good ten minutes while I waited anxiously by the side watching . Yose gave her the workout of the day I'm sure ! She told me that she can calm him down better by spending more time with him and bathing him and such . I agreed with her , but was so nervous leaving my pup behind ! Dawn reassured me that she will take good care of him and I knew that she would . She's got good vibes . I returned after an hour to find YOse , super clean and fluffy .... and with short trimmed nails !!! Its an incredible accomplishment! This place is amazing and the experience level is worlds apart from other local groomers:) When I moved to the area my dog who had only had one other groomer its whole life suddenly became aggressive whenever anyone new tried to groom her, we tried several places and would leave with a frightened dog and no haircut until we found this place.
