Okay so it was a little unconventional, I will give everyone that! this review is for a NAIL TRIM only! Vic was super sweet, replied to my texts immediately and was waiting outside for us when we arrived. She had us stay outside (a little weird at first) but it allowed me to hold my pup and the street was a great distraction for him! Crazy but it works! Took about 2 min to do his nails and she was able to provide a soft muzzle which was super convenient bc my pup HATES his nails done. She was so quick and so friendly and took time for my pup to warm up to her. I got told not to go here but for what we needed, it was perfect and only $10!! Can't beat the price. Enzo is amazing but he has the curliest and thickest hair any groomer has seen. Plus he won't let me brush him in between grooming. So she definitely has her work cut out. She cuts him with ease. He looks amazing every time! I'm not a huge fan of the top knot but I still want Enzo to be a fancy poodle boy. I called the other day hoping to make an appointment for the weekend but she said she could take him right away. I was blown away. Here in Sacramento it's impossible to get appointments that fast. We used to love this place but the owner (now) is a hot mess. The shop is full of junk and it's dirty and we think she lives in there She wouldn't let us come inside the shop to see how it was going w our fur babies and she kept them for TWELVE hours! Once we finally heard back from her and went to pick them up they were shaking, nervous, and when they saw her (from the car) they kept pushing back wanting to run away from her. They have NEVER done that before! We won't be going back to her... we need a profesional dog Groomer who is clean and kind to the dogs. *DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE* Very bizarre experience. This place needs to get shut down. There is no way it is up to code. My husband brought our two German shepherds in to get groomed. They were placed in a small wire crate together in the front area of the building. Their appointment was at 2:30. I texted and asked for an update around 4 and did not hear back. I showed up around 4:30 and spoke with Victoria at the front door. The front area is extremely cluttered with a few crates but other random belongings that have nothing to do with a grooming facility. Victoria hadn't started grooming either of my dogs at this point and said she would be done with them around 6. The foul stench that came out the front door was appalling. At this point, I could hear my dogs crying and just decided to cancel. Victoria had them shoved in a small crate together for over two hours. After reading other reviews I do agree she probably lives in the building and I can only imagine what it looks like behind the curtains. read more

Reasonable pricing for grooming but terrible customer service. I believe the current owner took over the business from the previous owner. She states that she has over 31 years of experience in grooming. One of my dogs Milo, is a havanese/Labrador mix. He was due for a much needed grooming. I searched various businesses on Yelp and came across this business due to the reviews and close location to my house. I guess all of the positive reviews were from the previous owner. I called this business several times during business hours just to get no response. I was told in the voicemail if she doesn't answer right away, to text instead. Which I did. She texted back two days later...I told her that Milo needed a grooming service and she called him a weird, unusual mix. Pretty rude to say. I left my dog for 3 and a half hours and she told me to come back later. I came back after that time and still had to wait approximately 25-30 minutes. She brought out my dog and it looked like she gave him bangs. She did a poor job cutting him efficiently and also cut him near his neck as well. I wont be back here again. Tried this place for the first time today (3/23/17) and will DEFINITELY be back!! Fred did such an amazing job on my little 7lb chihuahua terrier mix! Shaved the wirey-coat off (as requested) and bathed him and did the whole works! My pup smells and looks like a brand new puppy! Price was fair: $45 for shave, bath, nails, glands, ears, etc. and worth it especially since I didn't have to do it myself and get dog hair everywhere!! WORTH THE MONEY! Great experience!! So glad I found this groomer. I just discovered this place which is surprising since I drive passed it practically every day. Upon walking in, Fred introduced himself and his associate (unfortunately I'm terrible with names and have forgotten it already). He took my Basset to the grooming table, talking to her and reassuring her using a sweet voice. How did he know she responds to that voice?! My Basset has to have her nails filed down with a dremmel tool because they are so thick. The heat of the dremmel also helps the nail quick retreat. Fred explained to me his procedure and why it was important. He used a nail clipper first then the dremmel. Fred continued to talk sweetly to my dog, patiently taking time to get every nail as short as he could. It all took about 20-30 minutes. I tried scheduling an appointment. They never answer the phone! Either it's disconnected or never get a call back. They are always busy. I recently moved to Sacramento and found this little place and I couldn't be happier! I took my two poodle mixes in for haircuts and baths, which they desperately needed! They did an amazing job at cleaning them up and making them look so great!
