We have recently moved to Boca Raton and I stopped in to check out this facility. What impressed me most was that all the dogs being groomed or waiting to be picked up were calm and relaxed. Even if some were nippy they took precautions with a cone and took their time. Franco groomed our Yorkie, Max, as I had asked with his own shampoo products etc because of his allergies. Franco was able to work on the fixing Max's bad groom done at another place in Boca. I was very happy that they could accommodate Max being groomed while I wait as I have done since he was a puppy. read more

If I can give this place a 0 star I would. Dropped my dog for 11AM at 10:53AM for a groom. Came by at 1:35PM to check in on her as I was dropping clothes next door. She told me to come for another hour and i said absolutely not. As I looked over the door she was sitting on floor by herself. I asked what did you guys do for almost 4 hours? "We bathed her" and I said okay let me take my dog, I'm not gonna waste more time here. The lady at the front asked how much and the groomer said 62$ how in the world is a bath going to be that much? I should have went to petco and did it myself. I booked for only grooming. The groomer then was in a hassle and started cutting her nails as she knows all she did was a bath. Only cut the front of her nails and not the back to think I wouldn't notice. This place smelled like weed as well once I walked in. I shouldn't have never left my dog here. Our Shihtzu Maya has long hair. Today we went to pick her up and I was beyond shocked to see how awful she looked. It seems she had mats on her chest which we were not aware of so without calling us to let us know ahead if time so I might have taken her somewhere else, they felt the need to shave her whole chest(she's 7 months old)Then they left the entire rest of her body stay long. She looks horrible.! I was upset that they felt there was no other option.They REFUSED to cut the rest of her hair so at least it wasn't so ridiculous looking and yelled at me because I was upset.They accused me of not caring about my pet's health!!!! What does her health have to do with paying $50 to have your pet leave a grooming place looking like she just had surgery. They did a good job at first but then refused to keep grooming my dog due to some of her age-related medical problems. It was really weird. My dog is old..but she is just fine! BEWARE! Pet Salon was referred to me by a neighbor and being new to the area wanted to find a groomer for my two year old Goldendoodle. Made an appointment requesting a specific groomer which I was put on-hold for a long time to confirm the groomers availability and then made the appointment based upon her availability and was quoted a price between $55 and $70. When I showed up for the appointment, i was told that another groomer would be doing the work at which time i asked why and then they worked with me to have the original groomer do the work - Not a good first impression! I also explained to them that my dog did not like blowers and would have to be "fluffed dried" to which they responded "not unusual, lots of dogs do not like blowers" So now I get the call to come pick my dog up and when I got there he looked good, like all of the numerous other times he had been groomed. Now the interesting part, they gave me a first time discount and charged me $120 - Not anywhere near the $55 to $70 originally quoted. When I asked why so much, they said he was more like a Standard Poodle and had to be fluffed dried and due to the added time there was the additional charge. Imagine a Goldendoodle being like a poodle Never called to inquire, just went ahead and charged me. Not very good customer service let alone a poor business practice. Personally, I would be very careful in going there, but then again, if money is no object, and basic grooming is what you are looking for, this is your place. read more

I just brought my special needs/rescue dog in for his first grooming and had a very positive experience. The groomer was sensitive to my dogs needs and asked questions to ensure she handled him properly. He was done in about an hour because of his age and condition, which I greatly appreciated. The staff was friendly, efficient and caring. The groomer called me ahead to pick my dog up, which was wonderful, and when I arrived, the person who gave my dog a bath was in the reception area holding him and giving him some love and attention. I have 2 maltese w special needs, both have congenital issues. My dogs have been through alot; including surgeries and still recieve holistic care as maintanance, there is no cure for them. I am extra picky and careful about where I bring them for grooming as this adds stress to the delicate balance I work to give them. I moved and needed to change the only groomer they have really known for years and I so loved her for how she knew my dogs and had fun w their grooming, giving them super cute cuts w the most girlie bows and color! Yes color! My dog's are everything to me and caring for thier special needs daily is no fun. They were recommended by a friend of mine from the dog park. I know a few people now that bring their dogs here and everyone is very pleased with the work they do. Most importantly Dawn and Daniel are the nicest people and my lovely Kyah always looks good and though I think she is a bit skittish no matter where I take her, has never been traumatized here. I am particularly happy with my furbaby's new stylist but I won't give out her name because then I may not get an appt. with her again. I love that they allow some of the dogs to run around after they're groomed and when you come in there are so many adorable faces to greet you at the salon door. I convinced my wife to bring in our Bedlington Terrier for his first grooming session. Although some of the reviews were negative, there were enough positive to counter what was written. I should have been more respectful of what was negatively written. When my wife arrived, the owner was surprised when she showed up for her appointment. She told my wife that she had called her to cancel, since one of her groomers, Margo, had been fired. My wife checked her phone; there were No calls made. My wife had a bit of concern too, since my wife had interviewed this groomer business before bringing our dog in and she was confident that Margo, who had worked/new the owner for the past 20 years appeared competent. The owner said she would personally take care of grooming our dog. My wife offered her a picture book showing what his hairstyle should look like, but she declined, inferring she would have No problem. Again, I should have insisted we cancel too. Our dog was returned to us clean from his bath, but did not look like our Bedlington or any Bedlington for that matter. If the owner had a more humble personality, she would have accepted the book for guidance and this review would have been more a more favorable review. I would suggest to anyone who owns a pet, especially a non standard pet, that they would be better served at another groomer. You Should Avoid This Groomer, Period. read more

I had heard good things about this place so I brought my dog there all of 3 times. I was pleased with my first experience but the fan fare soon faded ! The grooming was not consistent from time to time even though I had the same groomer each time ending with the last time -which after explaining what i wanted for 20 minutes I was shocked to see my pet had been given a puppy cut! Also the ears were cut unevenly ?? And they claim to walk your dog but each time my dog has to go the minute I picked her up! The lady at the reception desk is very unfriendly and has an attitude! This dog groomer shaved my daughters dogs ears and he came home bleeding. When she spoke with the groomer she was advised to take the dog immediately for treatment. My daughter brought the dog to the ER in Deerfield and they said his ears wear lacerated by grooming. It cost $600.00 for treatment. When Fur Crazy was presented the bill they would not pay it. THIS IS A DISREPUTABLE GROOMER WHO HAS OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT HER ON RIPOFF REPORTS FOR INJURING DOGS. read more

I'm surprised to see the negative reviews and the extent of their problems. I've been taking my two dogs here for years and have never had a problem with either. My dogs are definitely not easy to groom(multiple salons stopped even trying) but Franco does an amazing job each and every time. My poodle is blind due to old age and has little tiny cysts on her body but there is never an issue. My yorkie is just plain old mean. I don't know what Franco's secret is but he manages to make them look great and they never leave the salon sad or depressed like they did at other places. The salon itself has a nice little area where the dogs can play out in the open before and after their haircuts. Granted my dogs have to stay in kennels but that's completely understandable, what can I say they're my spoiled rotten babies who bully everyone but I can't stop loving. Whenever I come to drop them off or pick them up all the employees are super sweet and know my dogs by name and show them lots of attention. They even double check to see what hair cut I want this time because my mom and I always ask for different styles haha. I'm really thankful I found this place. read more

I have been using Fur Crazy since they started their business....why do i love them. Well firstly they always respect your time. I try to get an "in and out" appointment but usually they are booked weeks in advance so I do a normal drop off. They call when they are done and if there are any special requests they honor them. I have two doggies and prefer them to be caged together. Over the years when picking them up they are NEVER anxious and look great. The price is always the same over the years, I have a chinese crested with lots of knots and a boodle (part poodle and part bichon) and they charge $ 100 for both including nails, blow dry, cut and wash. These are hard working people who know how to please and if there is any complaints, they want to hear and resolve them, - good business!! I highly recommend them! read more

They take amazing care of my dog and she always looks amazing when I pick her up. The staff is extremely professional, loving and very talented. My "baby" is always excited to be with them. Oh well, I started my review and then oops it disappeared, so will try again. The first time I took Maggie (a malti-poo) to be groomed, the groomer accidentally scrapped skin off her side. They evidently have a skin repair tape, etc. so they applied it and it healed. After many months, I had gotten to like and ask for Marlo to groom Maggie. One day I made an appointment, or tried to, with Marlo only to be informed she no longer worked there. I asked if they knew where she went and, of course, the answer was no. Anyway, I left Maggie to be groomed with Franco since he also grooms Maggie's two friends from the neighborhood - a maltese and a cocker-maltese mix. Lo and behold, I get a call from the owner telling me that had cut Maggie's tongue but they had stopped the bleeding and she was fine. Needless to say, Franco did not groom my dog. There is no way I am going back there because I don't want "the third time's a charm" to happen to Maggie. You see the part of her tongue that is missing when she pants. read more
