My thought, why is the other dog allowed? From the beginning: (if you care to read more than the quick above). We took our 8 year old, but still has that playful lab in him at his age, pup for orientation as we just moved to the area. Previously he'd been going to Hound Dog Pet Hotel in Eden Prairie (which we LOVED!) since he was a little puppy, regularly for daycare and whenever we needed overnight boarding. After the evaluation we were told there was a larger Bernese mountain dog trying to mount ours and ours countered by showing his teeth at him to not do it (aka dog communication 101 like stated above). Because our dog doesn't like being it and communicates it, he cannot go. Again, our thought, shouldn't the huge (or maybe regardless of size!) dog that mounts other dogs not be allowed instead? Our lab has never once fought or had a bad report from his 8 years at Hound Dog ...or all the dog park trips. The good news is there are so many options around us so I'd give someone else your business. Better trained staff, and a place who realizes maybe the dog that is trying to dominate other dogs should be the one not allowed, not our non-alpha personality pup.

Apparently when he gets there he just sleeps, though... not sure why he is the way he is.

Daycare here is one of my pups favorite things!…read more My pup went here for YEARS! We have since moved out of the area which is why he doesn't go now. There's an indoor and outdoor area which is nice so the facility can be flexible based on weather where the dogs play. This is not the frills, nap time required kind of vibe. It's an unassuming, barebones facility full of employees who just love dogs and dogs who love dogs. This was what worked for my pup- he doesn't care if it looks pretty to humans- he cares (and I care) how he's treated. And he was treated very well and would be jumping around in the parking lot as we would walk up because he was so excited. And the staff would be excited to see him as well. The cost is in line with other daycares in the area - buying a package will help the per day cost. For my pup - totally worth it.

I do not understand how there are so many good reviews for this place. I've been to other doggy…read moredaycare places (Stone Mountain), but Ruff Love was closer and more convenient, so I thought I'd give it a try. I went in today for an orientation and a walk through at about 10AM. IMO, there were way too many dogs in each area. The dog rooms are small and dimly lit, and all connected, so the atmosphere is very loud. I was shocked at how many large dogs were in such a small area. As we walked through with the staff, a fight broke out between two dogs. Others joined in because there was no where to go. One staff in the room for about 20-25 large dogs. No wonder. There is simply not enough room for the number and size of dogs in that space. I would never leave my dog there.

It's a very relaxed friendly and low energy place to bring your dog and know that he/she will be taken care of as well as cleaned up. I highly recommend pawsh to anyone who has a dog that needs a little extra love at the groomers. I also noticed that my larger dogs coat is much lighter from being brushed out so well, so she sheds so much less now than when I've brought her to other groomers. Hands down, the best groomer in the area by far.

Chelsea (owner/groomer) and I spoke on the phone for about 30 mins, talking about my dogs and their needs. She is a dog lover like myself and explained everything about herself, the shop and how my babies would be treated. The place is quaint and cozy... and clean! I feel like my dogs will get full attention and cared for very well there.... much more attention than a larger groomer would be able to. I dropped my two babies off.. she called me about 2.5 hours later and I was able to pick them up. My babies were happy, clean and smelled soooo good! I couldn't stop smelling them when we drove home... This is now my forever grooming place! I love Chelsea! She does a great job... very relaxed stress free shop, and my dogs were treated like family.

Many are really made to optimize profit often at the expense of the dog and their well-being. This absolutely is not the case with fusion pet retreat. We were completely pleased with how our Daycare trial went for our two dogs. We got a great tour of the facility. It was very clean and notably. It was one of the few places where when you go into the back, the dogs in their kennels are not barking and crying or showing any signs of distress . Most of them were sleeping soundly in their respective areas. The manager was great. Answered all the questions and gave us a very thorough rundown of what to expect. Sion is very unique and that they do many different things to accommodate the specific personality of the dog. And it was very obvious that the people who work here understand dogs and enjoy them. It is an open play experience, but they do not have the dogs play all day every day, which is actually very good for them! They have them take breaks so they do not get over stimulated-which is unique to Fusion and highlights their knowledge of dogs. The place is huge and not at all crowded. They have several different areas for the dogs to play so that they can easily group them by play style. My one dog it's only eight months old and newer to this environment so he was a little timid. We got many videos and photos of him playing with other More timid dogs, and several staff members who slowly introduced him to the bigger area and he was very happy. We will use this place again it again without hesitation !

Our puppy trainer recommended Fusion and we've been taking our dogs there for more than a year…read more They are WONDERFUL. Our trainer recommended them because the staff here are all very knowledgeable about dog behavior and best practices for managing dog behavior. So I know the work I'm doing with them at home will be continued at daycare. They do a nice job of giving the dogs play time and break time -- on hot days the pool comes out, on rainy days, they can play inside. The facility itself is nice, modern and clean. Everyone who works here is friendly and extremely competent managing dogs. I get a great report card every day my dogs are at daycare (extra charge) so I can see what their day was like. We've also participated in the training program, which Fusion has recently expanded. We put our puppy through Basic Manners and our older dog through "reactive behavior" training. Both classes were excellent. The instructors are great and really focus on answering your questions and helping you/your dog. I really love their training programs and they are really pretty reasonable price-wise for what you get. We've used the grooming services, which is just an extra bonus because we can get that taken care of while they are at daycare. I have never boarded them overnight here, but otherwise can recommend just about any and all services from Fusion.
