Update** The owner called me and was very helpful in trying to make me happy and to change some things on how they communicate then issue like this arise. He was able to refund the entire vet bill. Sometimes it's about the recovery. Thank you for helping me feel heard and not confused. This location offers supervised puppy day car for 4 hours one day a week. I was feeling ill so I needed a little nap. I called ahead of time asking what age puppies would be there as my puppy was only 3 months old. I was told 3 other puppies ages 4-5 months old. I felt ok with that so bright her in. When I picked her up I asked how she did and the staff worker told me she was being picked on. Knowing i was nervous about I (by calling ahead of time) maybe they should have called me. Anyway fast forward 2 days and we were at the vet getting her wound taken care of. She was hurt while in their care. She was put on 3 different medications and had her fur shaved. I realize it was my choice to bring her but I also expected them to take care of her. They have decided not to refund any of the vet visit. I am not asking for them to cover 100% of it but at least half. There is no way that my puppy did this to herself given the location on her back. We will not be back, to either location. read more

This place earns all five stars!!! The staff is just awesome, friendly and provide quick reports on how our pup did. Shelby loves coming here to daycare to play, and has such a great time. When I bring her home, she is just wore out from the socialization and fun from her day. Lots of play time!! We tried another popular place for daycare in town and they don't even compare to Stone Mountain, not even close. I HIGHLY recommend the day care here; we have found it a blessing for us and Shelby. Writing because of a very negative experience with lodging. This was our dog's first lodging experience, and he stayed with them for a little over a week. Over this time, we called twice - once on the third day and once on the seventh. Both times we were informed that he was doing well, was just a little anxious, and wasn't eating a lot. This is more or less what we expected, as our dog has some separation anxiety that we are still working on. When we dropped him off, we explained that, gave them his standard anxiety medication, and explained we would call to check in and help with any issues that came up. However, when we picked him up, we were told a very different story. First, we were told that he had peed once in his kennel and they had to wash him before we could pick him up because of that. Sure. Second, we were told that he had peed in his kennel AND pooped in his kennel a few nights previously. Not sure why that wasn't included when we asked about him then, or the first time they talked to us, but fine. Then, we got in the car and I noticed that he seemed to have some scrape marks on his elbows, which in spite of the rinse he had just received were stained a light brown- maybe from chewing, although they were not in a spot he had ever chewed before. Maybe he got some wounds while on a walk. I'm really trying to give them the benefit of the doubt at this point. But still, we decided to call the vet and schedule an appointment ASAP. (Tomorrow - will update this review if they determine worse problems.) So I call, explain I have some questions, and end up speaking with the manager, who tells me that our dog actually soiled himself several times throughout the week and was so anxious he was throwing himself around and tossing his food bowl. The manager states that this is normal for a dog's first time at the lodge. Fine. But why was none of this communicated to us during ANY of the previous conversations? The manager says they recommend Trazadone for anxious dogs, well, our dog actually recently got that prescription and we could have had someone drop it off if it was communicated. And what are we supposed to think happened if you wash him once when we show up and tell us you "think" he was washed the multiple times that he soiled himself (that I had to call and complain to even hear?). I understand that the first stay can be tough - but if we had known, we could have done something about it. Stone Mountain Pet Lodge Brooklyn Park failed to communicate what was going on MULTIPLE TIMES, creating a severe lack of trust. I do not know exactly what happened, but they created through this lack of communication the impression that our dog was sitting in his own filth for days before being washed, and we had to press for information to even be told a quarter of what happened. If you, like us, have a dog that is anxious or is staying in a lodge for the first time, I firmly do not recommend Stone Mountain. I do not blame them for my dog being anxious and having a difficult time time. I blame for failing to tell us, lying to us about what had happened and the frequency, and giving me a scummy "well this is normal" answer only when I pressed. The employees involved should be ashamed of themselves. At this time, I am not seeking a refund as my issue is with communication and we do not know the full extent of what happened. I will update this review after his vet visit if it seems they believe the extent of what happened is worse. I want to be clear about this so readers know I am not elaborating to get something - I am elaborating to warn people who truly want the best for their dogs. read more

We started bringing our pup here starting at 10 weeks for their puppy socialization events & puppy daycare. We cannot speak more highly of Stone Mountain! The workers here truly love the dogs that visit. It's so heartwarming when you notice they have all memorized your dogs name, and your dog happily recognizes them, too! We've utilized many services through them (puppy socialization, daycare, nail trims, boarding), and have never been disappointed. We can't thank them enough for everything they do and for providing us with a space we feel comfortable leaving our fur baby, knowing he loves it there, too! I boarded my cat (Jackpot) at the Brooklyn Park location most recently from November 18 - December 1. I had previously boarded Jackpot on several other occasions with no incidents. The Brooklyn Park location is a beautiful location. I have always felt like the staff take great notes and listen to my concerns with my pet. Jackpot is a very anxious cat and has to be watched that he urinates at least every 48 hours. However, I will never ever leave Jackpot in the care of Stone Mountain Pet Lodge again after this last experience. When I got Jackpot home on December 1st, it looked there was something on his tail. After more careful examination, I noted he was missing a patch of fur from the tip of his tail approximating an inch and a half. I was alarmed to say the least as no one at the Lodge had said anything to me at all about this. I immediately called the Lodge to find out what happened and was told there was nothing in the notes. They said they would inquire further and have someone call me back. I received a voicemail message back saying that no one noticed the missing fur, but they believed Jackpot may have been "over grooming" due to anxiety. They also said that Jackpot wasn't leaving his cat condo and didn't want to be touched, which was probably why they didn't notice the missing fur from his tail. I called back after hearing this voicemail because I had paid extra for 15 minutes of "cuddle time" every other day during Jackpot's stay. Jackpot is not a very affectionate cat, but I just wanted someone to spend some extra time petting him during this 15 minutes. I asked if he didn't want to come out of his condo and he didn't want to be touched, what was I paying extra for? I didn't get an answer to this question. The condos are supposed to be cleaned twice daily as well per the website with the cats being able to explore so why wasn't the missing fur noticed then? Finally, why wasn't the missing fur noticed when the cat was being prepared for checkout? No one could tell me why the missing fur was not noticed. I talked to three different people on December 1. The only thing I can take away from this is that Jackpot was neglected during this stay. I understand that Jackpot could have "overgroomed" himself. However, someone at the Lodge should have noticed this. I was so upset about the situation that my husband even called and asked to speak to someone. He was told that someone would call him back. No one got back to him so he called again on December 2 and spoke to someone who promised to refund 20% of the total bill. We are still waiting to see any sort of a refund. read more

my Yorki stayed here Sunday-Friday 6/20-6/25/21. When I picked her up on Friday, I noticed that she was soaking wet as the employee walked her over to me. I thought, oh how nice they bathed her! As I picked her up, she smelled horribly. She wasn't freshly bathed, she was soaked in her own feces! Her feet, stomach and face were soaked. Her bed was saturated in poop. The lady hands me her leash and walks away. I started to proceed to the door and thought to mysel, hold on. This isn't right. I walked over to the desk and showed another employee my dog was soaked full of poop and urine! She said she was sorry and said. "We can give her a free bath"? I said NO, I can do that myself. She said, I could give you a discount on your next stay? Ummm, NO! She asked, what can I do? I said that I would like a refund because my dog was forced to live in her own feces for 5 days. She said that she could discount 10%. I said no. She then told me that she could have a manager give me a call. I agreed. It's been 3 days and NO CALL from anyone! 6/22/21 follow up...manager called me back. After conversation, she stated she will not be giving me any type of refund because I gave them a bad review on Yelp and hung up on me! read more

My elderly neighbor with memory issues had her best friend, a shitzu picked up for a grooming just before Christmas. When they returned the pup, he was shaved almost to the skin all except the tip of his tail. She was very unhappy. When she called them to discuss, they hung up on her and won't talk to her. My wife called an inquired and found that she had paid $189 for this grooming and they were not going to do anything about her displeasure. They even said that she was not allowed to ever call them for service again. Complain and you get on their black list. I can't believe how they fleece an elderly lady with dimensia. She even tipped the driver an extra 20 besides the charges they already applied to her bill. I would think twice before putting your pet in their hands. read more

Use this location multiple times and the Blaine one a couple as well. A bit pricey, but decent. Very attentive.

I've been a client for 2-years and have probably spent $8,000 on them. I've been repeatedly frustrated with them and keep hoping things will get better, but never does. Facility is new, but service is terrible. I've finally had it with them. Here are my observation: rip-off pricing and bad service. Examples: (1) Drop dog off at 6pm and return 24-hours later at 6pm, they will actually charge you for 1.5 days. Who is dumb enough to pa $70 for 24-hour kenneling. (2) They offer you can pick-up your pet after-hours for $50, but sometimes they won't be there when you arrive to pick-up your pet after hours (thus wasting a trip and then getting charged for another whole day), (3) sometimes they voluntarily wash your dog before you arrive, but that's only because your dog has been sleeping it its own urine, and (4) if you have multiple pets, there is no loyalty/consideration pricing for having them stay together. read more
