Reducing 1-star due to recent visit (2 years since last)…read more We went on a Friday, expecting reduced crowd volume (non-US holiday). Crowd volume still seemed heavy, but manageable. What wasn't manageable was their processing of entrees to get in. They had a single station to process everyone, and the payment system was taking forever. We arrived at 10am when the pool opened, and didn't actually get in until 11am. A full hour wait is pretty outrageous. Having a second payment station would have made it much quicker. Of course you can expect lower food quality at these types of places, but this was still disappointing. Frozen-pizza quality pizza, for more than a legit pizza, and then they overcooked it on top of that. The waterpark itself was still fun, but eventually our kids will outgrow it. Still good for small kids though (ages 2-8).

Room: Comfortable for 4 people, including an infant. They happily supplied a crib but you can't reserve it ahead of time. You had to request it when you check-in. They will then deliver it to your room within 10 minutes and leave it to you to set it up. Yes, you can hear tons of noise but it's a family resort. We had a technical malfunction during our stay with the door and they were quick to repair it and offering us a different room if we wanted (which we declined). The cable in the room is WEIRD! I wish they had supplied an outline of the stations because it wasn't obvious where to find what. Otherwise, room was clean and comfortable and loved having direct access to the parking lot as well as the hotel. Water park: Tons of fun for young kids! Lots of life jackets for young swimmers. Lifeguards appeared very attentive and were quickly stopping any unruly behaviour. It was nice and warm inside the park and they have a shop that sells anything you might have forgotten...except swim diapers, they don't sell those! Arcade: Everything was working when we were there and lots of fun for the kids. Lots of options for prizes as well. The oasis poolside snack bar, which is fully licensed, is my new favourite place. I made no less than 8 trips there during my stay. Their mocktails and cocktails were delicious. Food was fresh and 4 flavours of dippin' dots as well. The only breakfast option is a paid all-you-can-eat buffet. $10 for kids and $20 for adults. This part was frustrating as my child was sick most of the weekend and if you just wanted a cup of juice you were stuck. Also, I was never hungry enough to warrant the adult buffet price. I just wanted coffee... For those who only want a cup of coffee in the morning: they do offer complimentary coffee and tea to the room or you can go to the lobby and pay $2.80 for a delicious cup of coffee that comes out of a preset machine. After my first cup, that became my second favourite part of the hotel (after the Oasis snack bar). The one downside? The front desk staff! On Saturday morning, while I was enjoying the coffee described above, I saw at least 3 different parties at the desk asking to speak to management for various issues. On our checkout day, I wanted to delay our checkout as I had 2 sick children and we had an hour before an important meeting. My son just wanted to stay in bed while we waited. Upon asking the front desk if we could delay our checkout I heard a curt "no" on the phone before they hung up. Instead he used the little energy he had, to walk around the arcade for the hour. It wouldn't deter me from staying there again but just wanted to let others know, they aren't flexible on their policies. Overall, it was an amazing weekend away! I would definitely stay there again!

Our ticket was about $46 (I had a deal) parking was $25 and getting a medium sized locker was $15. Locker prices are $10 for a small, $15 for a medium and $20 for a large. For 2 people the total was $140 before anything else. The park was well maintained, grass was short, paths and slides were clean. Water temperature was comfortable. It was a cool day so not having water freezing was nice. The staff was the highlight. Everyone was curtious, helpful and very friendly. There were always tubes ready to grab for each ride and we were able to go on about as many slides as we wanted. We split a burger and fries for around $20. No drink included but we were able to bring our Nalgene water bottle in so we had water with it. Prices are a little expensive but aren't jaw dropping if you're a smart shopper. My one complaint was the 'attraction rotation schedule'. Let me explain what this is and then give my complaint. To keep costs down, while all attractions are open, they rotate which ones are open at which time. Some slides will be open while others are closed and then they switch. I understand that they do this to keep staffing costs down and actually think this is a very smart way to keep all attractions open on less busy days. My complaint lies with the fact that there is no schedule to see when attractions are open or closed. Often times we would see a slide open that we wanted to go on, only to get to the front of it's queue and see it had just closed. It became difficult to plan the end of our day where there were a few slides we really wanted to go on but were unable to due to the rotation. Either having a sign saying what time the attractions are open at or saying what time the attraction would re-open would really go a long way. All in all we had a lot of fun and will probably come back. Due to the price this is probably a once a year visit for us, but I liked it a little more then that theme park with the roller coasters in Vaughan.

Website is very hard to figure out what the rules are for dogs. One page says dogs are super welcome other page says no way are dogs allowed. So have to wait and call the next day. Turns out the kid answering the phone says that basically you cant bring dogs on a day trip but if your camping it's ok. Most Family's have a dog and they should be allowed to come for the day as well as long as the dog is friendly as stated. You could have an area inclusive of pets. Super disappointing for our family and guess we spend our time somewhere else. Cant give any stars to an establishment that wont allow family's to bring all their family members, puppies should count.

From the second we checked in the service was wonderful! Lodge was extremely clean considering how many kids there are and the water park was fully if not overly staffed!! They upgraded our room without our knowledge and it was such a pleasant surprise! The buffet food was tasty and we honestly had the best time. The water park is really lackluster, no one uses it. The gazebo is regularly occupied in the morning by Asian grannies doing tai chi. A sight to behold. The south has a baseball field, a larger playground, a skatepark, a basketball court, two more tennis courts, and another soccer field. This half is often bustling with activity, especially in the summer. The place looks right proper and is well-maintained by the staff. The pond is a nice touch that is surrounded by the verdant fields. If you haven't come to this place for a little walk, give it a try. Just look out for the geese.
