The park it self is very well taken care of. There is no parking. You have to park on the street. They do have a spash pad but it was not working when we where there.

Unfortunately for us, we were so keen that we arrived a week early so only like 4 trees were in full bloom but the scenery was still beautiful nonetheless. There was a bridge running through the middle and a man-made pond as well (which was inhabited by ducks). Also plenty of benches across the walkways for ppl to sit. The bell was a nice touch in the middle of the park and the aesthetics are very calming and serene. As an FYI, there's tons of ppl taking vids and pics at this park. Location-wise very convenient because it's also situated near Square One shopping center nearby!

This might sound like an odd take since it's quite normal in Ontario, but being from BC originally, I can tell you that it was quite surprising (for here, and all other paid conservation parks). It's frustrating that the nicest park in the city - by far, which also has it's only natural lake, is gated and requires an entrance fee. I'll still give it 5 stars since it's part of a norm for the entire province, so I can't really hold that against it. I'll also have to admit that having a fee has perks which become apparent - namely: much cleaner, high staffing ratio (which helps cleanliness), no overcrowding, well maintained and even the configuration. It's similar to hating the cost of the 407 but having to admit you also love being able to cross the GTA in half the time. Heart Lake itself is a nice lake, and as mentioned the only natural lake in Brampton and probably one of the largest for quite some distance around it. Even without having visited, you may have seen it without realizing it since it was used in the movie Tommy Boy years ago (when Chris Farley is sailing and being taunted by kids). There is fishing, various types of boating, which now also includes boating at night with clear boasts that have bright neon lights around them. There are trails to walk along it too, but sadly not to go around it since city planners in their infinite wisdom years ago allowed a handful of houses to back onto the lake. There's also a some cross country trails in the wooded area for that type of running and cycling. The treetop trekking here is fantastic, but a completely different fee and business listing. But worth noting it is located here. There's an insane amount of picnicking spots. A perk with it being paid entry is that you're very likely to find a table and they even offer spots for charcoal disposal. They do offer being able rent out large spots for very big gatherings as well. They have a big splash pad and a nice large outdoor pool which has proper rope separation between shallow and deep ends. Again, the pool is quite large, so even on a busy hot Saturday in July, there was reasonable room in the shallow end - but considerably more space in the deep end. There is another fee for swimming, but it's quite reasonable. Good lifeguard ratio as well. So you've got to 'pay to play', but I also can't say there isn't value for the money. I'd highly recommend looking at an annual pass (family pass especially) which probably pays for itself within 2-3 visits here, or to any of the other TRCA conservation areas. I believe Brampton library does offer the ability to borrow a pass, but you'd want to plan ahead as I wouldn't be surprised there's holds for it.

Came to visit Professor's Lake with some family on a hot summer day…read more Parking is free, but there is a fee to access the beach. (varies) The sandy area is quite large, lot's of room to spread out. The water is pretty clean, and is a nice temperature. You can also rent paddle boats and canoes and such for additional fees. They also have a large water slide for the kids to go on. Unfortunately, for some strange reason the day we went it was closed which disappointed the kids. This is a nice clean area to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and can enjoy the beach. 4/5

There are multiple parks and boating areas within the space they are each clearly labeled so its easy to meet up or give directions. The park is nestled in a residential area and easy to get to. There are no parking fee or admission fee. The bridge is nice and the single trail connects to the Credit Valley Conservation research facility. We walked till the trail ended and turned back. It wasn't busy when we went on a Sunday afternoon and you can go off the main trail to get up close to the water where some people were fishing. There is a playground that stems off the trail, you have to go up a flight of stairs, and it leads you to a residential area. I didn't like the playground as the ground was covered in sand rather than the usual woodchips. This is a small park that is close by, the walk is pretty flat so it was great for my toddlers. We would definitely go back and go on the trail all year round.

There's also a playground. Though well serviced by roads (not all conservation areas are), the trails are badly maintained with many potholes. Walking out of the Boyd Conservation Area is more rewarding as the Humber Trail, which is pleasant and well maintained trail, runs north to Boyd North and beyond. They're open daily mid-June to early September, and weekends mid-May to mid-June and mid to end September.

this was the first stop on my day of hiking, and I was "oversold" on coming to this conservation…read morearea. after tackling the big hill to get down into the conservation area(no vehicles allowed due to covid at the time of visit) i walked around to found just a huge amount of areas for bbqing/picnic/get togethers during the summer time. being oversold was being told that this area had a nice trail and lots of forest to see, the nice trail ended up being just the road way to all the different areas, and the forest was beautiful in color, but not my impression of what I was going to see on my visit. personally I wouldn't come back, but it looks to be a nice clean area for a summer get together, if you chose to have one of course.

"Marie Curtis Park is named after the Longbranch Reeve (a small village) Mayor Marie Curtis and is one of the few beaches in North America named after a female community leader. This park was created in the late 1950s to help control flooding after Hurricane Hazel nearly swept local homes in the area out into Lake Ontario. Throughout this park, you can find an abundance of wildlife and native plants. There is a playground, wading pool, a public swimming beach, picnic spots and walking trails including a connection to the Waterfront Trail. You will always find something to do at Marie Curtis Park." There was a nice spot we parked near so we sat for a bit and watched the birds. A young girl and her grandparents arrived with bread and it didn't take long for all the birds to come over. There are a couple of piers and beaches. It's a cute park ... we'll be back!
