What a treasure in a former industrial area of Toronto that's being redeveloped. Great place to bring the family for a stroll and to use the creative playgrounds - works of art. There is calm water where you can canoe, kayak or paddle board along with launching areas. Still being developed! Stay tuned!!

This is a brand new park opened on 2025-07-18. It is built on the new island called Ookwemin Minising, which means "place of the black cherry trees" in Anishinaabemowin Indigenous language. The new island serves as flood protection in the Port Lands. Biidaasige (pronounced bee-daw-sih-geh) means "sunlight shining toward us". It spans 20 hectares and will expand another 4 hectares in 2026. The park features the following: 1. A huge naturally contoured playground with larger-than-life animal sculptures representing Indigenous dodems (clans). 2. Toronto's first-ever ziplines. 3. The Badlands Scramble, a Waterpark and climbing area. 4. Picnic grounds and two dog off-leash zones. 5. A pebble beach-style landing area for launching kayaks and canoes. 6. Fishing platforms and step-diwns to the river. 7. Walking and cycling trails. 8. Wetlands and native vegetation for birdwatching. There is bridge connecting this park to the other side of the Don River. There is no free WiFi. The patk is wheelchair accessible. There are powered portable separate male/female washrooms near the Commissioners St entrance; there is one gender-neutral wheelchair accessible pot-a-potty washroom which is not powered. There is a large parking lot across the Commisioners St which is free for now. Review 2025-149

This is the new park in Downtown Toronto. It has kids playground and also good for Adults. Kids can play at the sands poor and Adults could enjoy the zip lines. And everything here is free. As heard from other parents, more are coming next summer. The other side of the bridge is still under construction. The park actually is big and people can walk around or bike around. There is a parking lot for this park just right across the street. It's meaningful to have a free parking space in downtown area. However, it was too hot to stay long or have picnic there, even though there was a picnic area. There was no big trees or any place to be under the shade. I like to go back with my kid someday when it completes next summer.

I think this is the best park in Toronto, and I feel so lucky to live nearby. It's a beautiful balance--designed for people to enjoy comfortably, yet it already feels close to a natural wilderness. I'm excited to watch it evolve as the greenery grows and the ecosystem takes its natural course. Truly a special spot in the city.

Yorkville Park is located in "the Village" of Yorkville on the south side of Cumberland Street…read morerunning between Avenue Road and Bellair Street. Unlike most parks, you'll find no grass or benches here. What used to be a parking lot is now filled with gardens, native plant species, prairie meadow, marsh, and trees. A silver-coloured metal structure houses a waterfall bordering one side of a courtyard. At the other end you'll find a rock "outcropping" (a 650 ton rock, coaxed out of the Canadian Shield and reassembled in the park) The park draws many visitors, tourists and is a great place for celebrity sightings during the Toronto Film Fest. Workers (like me!) eat lunch and people-watch at the bistro tables and chairs scattered throughout the park.

The "Park" in Yorkville is very interesting...It encompasses so many different aspects and attracts such a wide range of dwellers given it's small size and lack of park-like features...such as grass. Yet, it has a rare, and unexplainable beauty to it. From across the street you'll notice an array of photographer's snapping, model's posing, kid's playing, youngsters tanning, business men and women talking shop, and not to mention the view of some of the most expensive cars money can by doing their Tour Du Yorkville. Its a place of many wonders

The pond is surrounded by a red mosaic-tiled sitting wall; of course, it had to be red in colour! Adjacent office towers get a high aerial vantage point to view the heart in its entirety. The park occupies 8,100 square metres (2 acres). This site used to have a circular eastbound off-ramp from the Gardiner Expressway, and was called York Street Park. The major concrete structure has been converted into a lush park. It is quite a departure from the concrete jungle of downtown Toronto. Two mature trees have been retained, and new trees have been planted lining the sidewalks along the perimeter. One of the trees, a Northern Catalpa tree, is on its own island on one side of the pond. There are bronze-cast native-Canadian animal sculptures around the park: beaver, bear, fox, squirrel, rabbit, opossum, owl, woodpecker, etc. On the southeast corner, there is an outdoor seating area, great for relaxation or a snack/meal break. On the northeast corner, there is a dog off-leash area. There are park benches and a water bottle filling station. There is no children's playground. There is no free WiFi. The park is wheelchair accessible. There are no washrooms. There are expensive paid parking lots. Review 2023-220

I asked them for an exception, and I know it is an exception, I would have been more understanding if they were being reasonable, more logical, empathetic, and not rude. But, bad customer service sours the full scenario whether it was a yes or no. I told them you are losing business and their response was "actually we are not", clearly they do not care about my business - their policy is inconvenient and I am going to Playtopia next, amazing customer service and cheaper actually. I hope you keep getting business but better your customer service!
