A little disappointed with my coffee. It had that coffee pot taste. A French pastry of this caliber…read moreshould have percolated coffee. Something about coffee cooked for a long period of time actually gives it that "rich smooth taste". I ordered their raspberry cheese cake. It was actually delicious but the portion was a bit smaller than what I was expecting. Atmosphere inside comfortable and active with new patrons walking in. I opted to sit outside which made me feel like I was in NYC at a ritzy Cafe next to Central Park. It was quieter and relaxing. *Parking lot is Huge and shared with other stores. Use exit number 3 for a traffic light to cross over Wantauh Avenue. *Bathrooms; are two and both co-ed. *Final thoughts Pardon my "FRENCH" but the French Workshop was just ok for me. They didnt have scoopable ice-cream on hand which would have been nice next to my cake and their coffee wasn't on par in regards to a "RICH BOLD TASTE". No free coffee refills, no porcelain cup, and no silverware. The only metal your going to get is the steel tray your desert comes on. Perhaps something to consider ? *The Review Guru Long Island NY

Very cute, bright and sophisticated French bakery that operates more like a cafe. And they have a few vegan options! Don't expect macarons nor tarts, but that blueberry croissant I had was so delicious. It was more of a whole grain pastry than a traditional buttery croissant but because the blueberry filling was so sweet, I was happy for a less decadent pastry. I love that they have a nice array of coffee and matcha drinks too. I'm pretty sure the word has been out for some time now, but when that Starbucks line in the parking lot is just too much, The French Workshop is a better option (however, on a rainy Saturday in May, that line inside was considerable. People know what's good!) There's plenty of seating, too and if you are good at pretending, you almost feel you're in Europe (ignore the suburban strip mall that surrounds you).

I got a couple things from Francesco's and so far not impressed. I tried one of the two macaroons and it was just awfully freezer burnt, then took a little nibble of the second one the same. Curious to know how Francesco's cupcakes will be anyway please Marc this place is closed so many of us don't waste our time coming here. Thank you.

Well Kimarley L. beat me to the punch with a first review. I went to Get Baked NY today at 9am…read more Note: Tip/ This is IN Franchescos bakery to the left upon entering. Jamie a pleasant young lady, was working there. She was please to see that first review from Kimarley L. as I shared with her and it made her day. She shared information with me that Sandy is the person she works for and rents out the space for this Cupcake counter. The cupcakes are baked with the same ingredients that are used for the other baked goods at Franchescos Bakery. They do serve coffees and have a variety of cupcakes along with packs for 4. I got two beignets today, a whipcream and strawberry and a custard one. I ate into the one and found while there is a fresh strawberry on top the inside is gloppy with more like jelly strawberries inside. The whip cream is hard and not fluffy. Have not tried the other one yet. Perhaps other types will be better. Something else to note , the windows need shades or blinds. When the sun comes in everything in there gets hot . The credit card machine ( at 4% ) paper cost is very hard to see in the bright morning light. An update today, got my complementary cup cake today from many sport themed choices. I chose the baseball. I noticed and noted cupcakes in the bakery window. Jamie noted that theirs are medium-size not with filling and they a select amount of character cupcakes as well. Where's as the Get Baked ones have filling and are the large size.

Wow. Just wow. While…read morescoping out local vegan places for a Local Yelp review, I stumbled across Vice donuts. They looked incredible and used non GMO ingredients AND were Vegan/ Gluten free? To me it was too good to be true. But my oh my were these donuts amazing. They blew me away. It is so hard to find a reliable vegan option, especially dessert option but Vice Donuts has done it. I ordered a half a dozen because I wanted to try as many as I could. My favorites were the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and the vanilla frosted. Both were moist and perfectly sweet. It wasn't overly sweet at all. The icing just melted in your mouth. I highly, highly recommend visiting the little store front that just opened in Massapequa to experience these one of a kind donuts!

I had only heard of them recently from their new brick and mortar opening, and visited yesterday. It was late, there were few left, but I already knew I wanted a Strawberry one. Fortunately it was the last one left. It's base is a cake donut, without being heavy, or full of oil. It's perfectly sweet, and airy. Having been a regular commuter of the boroughs, even some of the so-called best vegan donuts (Dough, or Dunwell) never did much for me. My biggest gripe about them is that the frosting is never frosting, but an icing that never sets up properly, and gets everywhere. Not Vice's. I was astounded at the frosting, it set up perfectly, and was absolutely delicious. I was also glad to hear they're harmful coloring free, and all organic/non-gmo. While we didn't get coffee, I was glad to know they use Southdown's (another favorite spot of mine) beans. Will definitely offer coffee from them in the future. It's incredible that in the heart of all of these hardcore old school Italian shops, there's something new, and it's a breath of fresh air. I will absolutely go back to get these soon, and gladly support this family owned and operated business.
