This place is so cute visually! Let's start with the food. First off the price goes by the weight so the more you pack into your frozen yogurt the more expensive your total will be! Honestly it's pretty fun and you put as much or as little as YOU like because it's basically self serving. Absolutely Disgusting. I walked in wanting to use the bathroom and enjoy some frozen yogurt. I then had to use the bathroom the toilet seat was broken. I saw a dog in the back. On the counter I saw almost what looks like mouse poop. FILTHY. Will not be returning. I have heard the staff and employees are so sweet so I thought I'd give it a try. went here recently with my mother hopeful for a good cup of yogurt. the yogurt machines barely worked if at all, and not for the flavors we wanted. Wanting to be patient, respectful & give the staff a chance, I waited around 10 minutes as the machines were reset. Tried again. The machines were still not working. More customers arrived and we knew that they were going to have the same issue and voiced our concerns, but the staff assured us the machines had been reset, despite the obvious failures before everyone's eyes. Now the froyo and ice cream handles are on the right, and they serve your toppings - much better idea than leaving it up to me, but maybe not as good for business. However, at $14 for two small "buckets" with toppings, I'm sure they'll make it up once volume picks up again. read more

Visit Date: June 18, 2019 So I have food problems. I managed to loose a lot of weight which was really awesome, I was struggling on my old plan and I recently joined WW. I am trying NOT to have binges when I decide to go off plan. The past two weeks have not been good because before Tuesday I had two half day binges the previous week on Monday and Tuesday and now I have Tuesday's binge to add to my food disaster problems. So now that you have my binge backstory which I don't mind speaking publicly about here's my review of Moolala. I decided to have a half a cheat day on Tuesday because I weighed in early and my new WW week starts every Wednesday. So of course I said to myself you'll have a few things and before I know it I had the whole jar of nutella gone that was in my office along with a bunch of gluten free cookies. So on the way home I stopped at best market I wanted to get ice cream and I should have went to friendly's but I was too lazy to make a few stops and I also wanted to get home to my son. So I saw moolala and walked over. I was happy to see they had peanut butter frozen yogurt so I filled my cup walked over to the toppings, got my standard fro yo cheat options which is reese's candy with peanut butter sauce and hot fudge. Since I was able to have control of my toppings the counter person probably wanted to ask me if I wanted frozen yogurt with my peanut butter sauce. So this part of my binge cheat was half worth it. I wasn't too happy with the peanut butter taste of the fro yo, the place I normally get peanut butter frozen yogurt from and J.P. Lick's in Boston had a much better peanut butter flavor. However I did like that we could put on our own toppings and all the toppings drowned out the lack of flavor. My suggestion if you come here depending on the flavor the other yogurts, drown them with as much toppings as you can in case you need to mask the taste of the yogurt or it's not as flavorful as it should be. read more

Definitely the place you should go for yogurt. I love their variety of flavors, especially peanut butter, and can eat an entire 16oz on occasion. The prices are reasonable as its weighted by ounce so you determine the quantity and price yourself. They also have a special card so after eating enough of their delicious treats you receive a free yogurt! That's incentive for any gal with a yogurt craving to venture out. Let's put it this way, any time I go to visit my friend in NY Moolala is almost always one of our first places to visit. read more

Tried peanut butter, vanilla, and mint. Once we got in the car and tried it out...it smelled and tasted like string rotten milk. Went back inside and the guy said "it's yougurt. the peanut butter was changed last week and vanilla and mint were changed today. Shared the chocolate frozen yogurt with my girlfriend. We filled half of the pint cup and topped it with brownie dough bites, cookie dough bites, and crush Oreo pieces. It cost $9. I thought that was quite pricey. I expect that amount of frozen dessert to cost around $5. I think it would have cost almost $20 to fill up the pint. I wished the frozen yogurt was creamier. The flavor offering was limited. There were about ten handles with two chocolates and two vanillas. You can build some of the most extravagant pieces of artwork made of frozen yogurt and the service is so good people there have a heart made of gold and they just want to help you make the best possible frozen yogurt that would help you. as far as ambience goes, they have a really cool little set up with tables were almost feels like you're in the Google brainstorming rooms coming up with new data development strategies. Located in a strip mall right off the Meadowbrook Parkway, it makes for the perfect spot to stop on your way home from Jones Beach; it is easily accessible from the parkway exit. Just like the other self service frozen yogurt places that are now so popular, there are lots of flavors to choose from in addition to tons of toppings. The frozen yogurt is the right amount of sweetness and super creamy, it's delicious. I went to their new location in Wantagh. Shocking how expensive and filthy the place was. Nothing like Merrick location, always on the pricier side compared to other places but at least Merrick was clean. The amount of filth surrounding the garbage can which is 3 feet from the yogurt was astonishing. The grime was clear as day, employees should know to clean without being told. The entire place looked unsanitary and the price of two small yogurts was $14.28. In this day and age public places need to be extra sanitary, especially food establishments. The owner has a lot of nerve charging these prices and opening under these conditions, absolutely shameful. read more

One of my favorite yogurt place. Always has a plethora of toppings, choices to choose from. Always fresh fruit and lots of flavors or yogurt. Place is always very clean as well and they serve really delicious syrups as well. Most places dont have so many choices. Love it. When owners are not there... the only drawbakc is sometime the teen staffers are putting away the syrups early like 30 min before closing to refill them. But overall good service. Owners are very professional and when they are there everyone is on thier best behavior! :0 read more

Always a great choice for a desert. We come here all the time and it's always fresh. The toppings bar where you add the goodies is always clean which is a plus. However I'm only going with 2 stars because I believe there is a violation. The customer cannot see the scale readout and therefore you are relying on the 'honesty' of the store. As far as I know the customer is entitled to see the readout according to Nassau County Weights & Measures. If I am wrong - please let me know and I will gladly change my review. Great place, like others have said the flavors are always changing. Some better than others and there's always an assortment of toppings. I can see this place expanding in the future. One of my personal favorites is the raspberry cheesecake and the red velvet. Go in and wait in line but don't be afraid to ask for a taste as they will be more than willing to let you try. I'm in love.... with fro-yo! Seriously this place rocks. It's a self serve frozen yogurt buffet with new flavors everyday. They even have a vegan option at all times! Topping include: rainbow cookies, yogurt drops, all types of candy crumbles, cereals, fresh fruit, syrups sugar filled & sugar free. Seating can be hard to find if the kiddies are out of school but I usually prefer sitting on the curb outside or taking it to the park down the block. Yayyy! A do it yourself frozen yogurt place on Long Island. This is some exciting stuff. I was pleasantly surprised to find out about Moolala last night and waited about 5 minutes before speeding off to Merrick for a fro-yo fix. The place was crowded, loud and filled to the brim with teenagers. The staff was friendly and throwing out samples left and right. I was happy to see a bunch of different flavors -- I've never tried cake batter froyo! I ended up with a red velvet/peanut butter/cookies and cream mix and a ton of toppings. I was especially glad they offered smaller cups. This stuff can get expensive! My only problems were 1. I felt slightly rushed by both customers and staff and therefore didn't get to read some of the topping labels (I ended up with a mysterious chocolate raspberry thing that I thought was a mini peanut butter cup. Lame.) and 2. The fruit toppings didn't seem AS fresh as I've seen in other yogurt places. This could have possibly just been that night so I'll have to check it out again soon. The thing that separates this yogurt place from competitors is toppings. They had way better toppings than I am used to, including rainbow cookies which I have never seen at a yogurt place before. I have been going to this place ever since it's Grand Opening Weekend! I can't even tell you how many times I have been here and I love their honor program with the stamped cards. The flavors are great! Always has low-fat or fat free options. The atmosphere is hip and it's a great place to hang out when you want something low-key. It's also in a great location. Only reason why it doesn't get 5 stars is because it's a little bit overpriced and sometimes the yogurt melts pretty quickly.
