Nugget was in need of his summer "shark fin" cut before we move, so we had to head to Funky Scissors to get one last chop. We've been taking him here since he was a year old. When you walk in, you see bright colored walls, balloons, and a black and white tiled floor. There are also four "car" chairs, that your little can sit in to get a haircut and all the mirrors are equipped with televisions built in, so they can watch their favorite show on Netflix. For the older kids there are regular chairs, but video game consoles, so they can play while they get a cut. One of the best parts of Funky Scissors is you're able to make an appointment online. We showed up right at 12 pm for our appointment. One of the stylists asked Nugget to pick out a chair. It was a real nail biter between the gray Jeep and the fire truck. Jeep won. He was also asked which movie or show he wanted to watch. He chose Incredibles. The stylist asked how I wanted his haircut. I showed her a picture and she was on her merry way. The cut took a total of seven minutes. Quick, painless, and with his occasional serious stare, he was done in a matter of minutes. His favorite part is when he gets to choose a ballon, sucker, and prize. His fresh new shark fin cut looked great and made him look like a little dude. Pros: -Ability to make appointments online -Stylists are happy and helpful -Ambiance of the place is fun -Efficiency of the stylists -Prizes -Televisions built into the mirrors Cons: -Inability to choose your stylist when making an appointment online Tip: If you have a cut in mind, be sure to bring a pic with you to show the stylist.

This little guy got his 1st haircut. We heard they were exceptional with kids that have special needs. So true!

Wow. I have a kid with a number of challenges. I heard they did good with special needs kiddos. So I have it a try. My little man got his first professional haircut (much better than Dad had done) and they kept him comfortable.

The staff is rude and should not be working with children. It was a horrible experience for both me and my child.

It was great! They only had one other kid there. Only one adult allowed in but you could see from window. Very friendly and worth value.

We drove a little over 30 minutes and were meeting up with a friend and her son so our boys could have a play date. When we got there, she asked for the kids' ages. I knew it was 7 and under, but I was honest and said "she's 8 but she just turned 8 five days ago (I would have shown proof if needed). The lady absolutely would NOT let her into the sandbox with the others. Had we not had friends that also drove 45 minutes to meet us there, we would have just left to go elsewhere. But leaving would have broken my son's heart, as the 6 and 8 year olds are girls and he finally had another boy to hang out with. So we stayed 30 minutes, while my 8 year old sat and watched. She even said "we should have just lied", which was hard to disagree with but explained to her that most kind and considerate people would have accepted the honesty and still allowed her into the sandbox pit for 30 minutes. Unfortunately, we just ended up at a place where the person running it was unkind and very inconsiderate. She didn't apologize, didn't seem like she cared at all about how the 8 year old felt. Alas, we'll never be back. I run a local moms group and plan lots of play dates as well as make many recommendations. I'll definitely make sure to never recommend this business, as well as share my experience with others. I understand it's "policy" and I'm sure there are reasons for the 7 and under rule, but this could have been an exception for a 7 years plus 5 days kid that had siblings playing there as well. If "policy" is more important to you than a child's feelings, maybe you shouldn't work at a place for children.

We went in excited to let the kids have fun, but several issues really took the joy out of it. First, multiple games were out of order, but there were no "out of order" signs posted anywhere. You wouldn't know until you swiped your card and it deducted points anyway. That's incredibly frustrating--especially when you're already paying high prices for game play. The basketball game had a ball with only about half the air it needed, making it almost impossible for the kids to score. In the game with the small plastic balls, at least 10 of them were broken in half or completely smashed, so they didn't work properly either. We spent over $40 on just one pizza, an order of chicken nuggets, and two drinks. Parents and grandparents are happy to do that for a special treat, but we're not willing to also drop another $20+ on games that don't work. On top of that, every single game felt way too short--most only lasted about 30 seconds. That's barely enough time for a child to get into it and enjoy the experience. All the games should be set for at least 90 seconds or more. Chuck E. Cheese has always been a go-to spot for family fun, but this visit left us feeling like we didn't get our money's worth. I hope management takes a look at maintenance, signage, game timing, and the overall value. A little improvement in these areas would make a big difference for families. Rating: 2/5 Would I return? Maybe if things are fixed, but not anytime soon at these prices with this level of upkeep and maintenance.

My mother is a cosmetologist in the CLE area, and has been cutting/coloring my hair my entire life. I was scared to trust someone with my hair, but I could NOT be happier with my results from this salon. :) (I guess I'll have to find a way to break the news to my mom that I finally found someone to do my hair in Cbus...) My visit: I came in for a cut and partial highlight because the prices seemed on point, the salon looked beautiful and inviting, and I could book an appointment with multiple stylists. I chose Marissa, because she had some openings on a day I had off of work. Marissa did an amazing job on my color and highlight. She was so personable and friendly, and listed to exactly what I wanted, and what my concerns were right at the beginning. She understood precisely what I was going for and NAILED IT with the color. I chickened out on the haircut after all, but I would definitely trust her to cut my hair in the future. The products used were incredible, smelled great and did not leave smells on my hair after the highlights were done. The look is so natural to me and left me feeling confident. Mission even offers you a 10 dollar reward on your next service and some product discounts when you review on Yelp or Vagaro or Google. I highly recommend Mission and Marissa; I will be back when my highlights need freshened up.
