I would give it a few more stars if I could. I had trouble with my Porsche and had it towed to his shop. He was super friendly, and took the time to explain to me the probably issue. 2 days later, he ran diagnostics on the car and said that it was a simple fix started with another shop, he recommended that I take it back to them to get it fixed, he did not try to upsale or charge me for anything I didn't need. Most European mechanics are very cocky, he was just the opposite. His shop is filled with exotics and I thought they were his own collection. As a woman it's hard to find someone who won't just try to get over because they can . My car was leaking coolant he could have told me it's a cracked blah blah blah and charged me what ever ,but he looked and said its just a hose and fixed it . As I was in the shop I herd him tell a client that they needed a few other things done but that one of the parts would be free due to some emission law . A GF had a coworker who posted on FB about this mechanic opening next to where I lived. I pass by it everyday but didn't have the need to come get my car serviced here since it was a fairly new place. One night my car headlights were acting up (blame the ex BF for some China made HIDs). It was just the start of daylight savings and I know by the time I leave work the next day I wouldn't be able to drive home. I called the number and Kenneth told me he would be there in 30 mins. I was already running late to work, but Kenneth came on time and rewired my messed up head lights. I had a spare bulb so I didn't have to wait for him to order it. He took about 30 mins and I was done. He didn't even charge me! So today I brought my car in for service, and he did a great job. He always tells me what service I need and what I don't (even though the dealership says I need my rear differential, he said not to worry) the car indicator also said I need new rear brakes, but Kenneth said I should be good for awhile. My experience here is not so pleasant, where my M3 needed a simple oil change. I phone in and was treated as if the engine needed a re-build, then the easy question: COST, I had to be called back for such a common question. Then I ask is it ok to wait for this 30 minute operation (I would do this myself if I had a car lift) and in response was basically instructed in a disrespectful nature "out of the question" and "how dare you ask such a thing" and in that gave such a strong impression in that the Police would probable be called to have me Arrested just for...................Waiting to have my Oil changed. I took my X5 in to fix the AC Unit and after inspecting the vehicle Kenneth made me aware of other issues that a person who is not a mechanic would never notice. He broke it down for me very simply by saying look these are the important things that I would not wait on and also made me aware of the repairs that were not urgent but should be taken care of at some point. I just moved her from out of state, and needed to find a reputable shop. I absolutely lucked out with Funfzehn. Actually, my BMW is still under some of its warranty, and when I first got to CA, my temp sensor went out. I took it to Crevier thinking it would be covered under warranty. While it was in, they told me it wasn't covered, that I'd need a new battery, alignment, and brakes. I had no choice but to get the temp sensor done by Crevier because I would have been charged a $180 fee for them just looking at it. I denied the rest of the service items, and saved them for Funfzehn. First, I emailed Kenneth and pretty much immediately got a call back with a quote. He also gave me availability, and got me in exactly what time/day I wanted. I came on a Saturday morning to drop my car off. I was prepared to wait, but Kenneth let me know it might take a little long. I live in town, so I told him I was planning on taking an Uber back. Before I knew it, he already ordered an Uber for me to get home! Super awesome! The prices were very reasonable, ranging anywhere from half to a third the price that I'd pay at Crevier (or any other BMW dealer for that matter). We have been bringing our 328i BMW to Funfzehn for about 2 years and I am so happy with them. After taking my car to several dealerships for repair and getting really over inflated repair cost I looked on-line for a repair shop to take it too. This is the most honest auto repair place I've ever encountered. My car had broken down mid-driving, and I had had it towed to a car repair shop. They told me that my fuel pump and tank needed to be replaced and quoted $9000 for this. My brother-in-law recommended that I call Funfzehn for a quote. I called and spoke with Kenneth. After asking some questions, he told me that he was pretty sure that this could be done for free under warranty. He offered to call his contact at Sterling BMW and said that his contact would call me if this was the case. Fifteen minutes later, I received a call from his contact at Sterling BMW who confirmed what Kenneth had said, and I had the car towed there. Kenneth could have easily quoted me a price and made thousands of dollars. Instead, he shared his inside knowledge of the warranty for my situation and saved me lots of money.
