Nice bar. Clean. I haven't tried any of their food yet. Drinks are large & reasonably priced.

The establishment was gracious to accommodate us since my wife was working in Monroeville and got to the event at 7pm. We were able to still order under the event. THANK YOU! The food was EXCELLENT and Fresh. The ingredients were spot on. Did order Appetizers, Soup, Sandwich and Calzone. If you like Cheeseburgers recommend the Cheeseburger Soup. Also, recommend the STEAK Calzone it will feed 2 - 3 people and every bite has steak thru out. Finally, the ambiance of the restaurant was Excellent from Hostess to Waitress. Clean overall and enjoyable dinner environment.

Unfortunately though, the wings disappointed me. They were extremely small, hard, dry, and chewy in a way that just was not what you expect when you hear the word "wings." The person I was eating with kept insisting the wings are not usually like that and said they were big and juicy the last time, although apparently less crispy, so there definitely appears to be inconsistency with them. We still liked the crispy skin and finished them, but overall they honestly felt more like crunchy chicken chips than actual wings. I have just never had wings that small and hard before. Maybe it was a fluke, but based on what we got, I personally would not have been comfortable serving wings like that if I owned a restaurant. The pizza was not bad or anything, it just personally was not my favorite compared to a lot of other pizza places nearby. The crust was very fluffy and easy to eat, which I appreciated and honestly it reminded me a little of DiGiorno style fluffy crust pizza. I think what mainly held it back for me was just the flavor of the sauce/oil they used was lacking on the white pizza. While I did appreciate the Italian seasoning and diced tomatoes with it, I feel like it would really benefit from adding a topping or two such as roasted red peppers, olives, herbs, garlic oil, or balsamic glaze. I also found myself wishing I had a bold tangy marinara to dip it in because I honestly think that stronger tomato flavor would have balanced the flavor profile a bit better for my taste. The small pepperoni pizza reminded me a little of sheets pizza, but again, I personally would choose other local options if I was going here and would prefer a different flavor from the sauce. The hoagie had a better taste than the wings and pizza in my personal opinion and I noticed from the online menu that they actually have a lot of other options as well. Overall, the delivery speed and customer service were good, but the food could have been better, especially the wings.

The P-Bar is my hometown bar, and I have been coming here for longer than I can remember. My…read morefriends and I would come in high school on Thursdays for $1 Burger Nights (no longer around, RIP), and now we come to enjoy some drinks on the patio and hang out. The bar is located in a strip of stores along Old Clairton Road, just off of route 51. There is some parking in the front that is shared with all the other businesses, and then a parking lot across Old Clairton that gets used at night when the businesses that it is for are closed. Additionally, there is a private lot for the bar in the back, and parking at the Bill Green Shopping Center just a little ways down the road (sidewalks from Bill Green to the bar entrance). Due to a fire that occurred here a few years ago, the entire place has recently been remodeled and reoriented from how it was originally. The bar is now in the back, and the main dining room is in the front. There is also a great patio and outdoor space with open air seating, as well as some area under a porch. Everything is new, clean, and modern as a result of the remodel. On this visit, we came to hang out on a Saturday evening. It was raining, so we had to get a table inside. It was karaoke night, as they have each Saturday, so we got to take in the sights and sounds of several performers. Since we were there later in the evening, we just ordered appetizers to much on along with our drinks. I got the Fiesta Street Corn Dip. It was a great value for the price, and there was a ton to go around the whole table. I also sipped on a Summer Shandy from their seasonal draft list. Overall, the food menu has a decent selection, all at very reasonable prices. The draft list did not have any red or brown ales on it, but there was still a fair selection of drinks. The ladies who came around to our table were pleasant and helpful. It was rather crowded, but there would be times we would not see a server for extended periods of time. I do not think it helped that our table was tucked back in a corner, but wish we would have been visited on a somewhat more frequent basis to put additional orders in. I always have a good time at the P-Bar, and enjoy coming here. Especially in the summer, it is an ideal place to hang out and catch up with friends. And likely, if you are from the area, you will run into several people you know. I did not have their breakfast this time, but the breakfast they have on the weekends is worth a try as well!

The Loose Moose is located on Brownsville Road, right over the boarder into Whitehall from Pleasant Hills. There is plenty of signage identifying the building from the road. Additionally, there is a large private parking lot that surrounds the establishment. This visit to the Moose was on a Monday evening in July. Mondays are one of their Wing Nights, where whole wings are $1.25 each. We primarily came for this special, but also ordered some other items to enjoy with the wings. The restaurant was not too crowded at the time we arrived, which was right before 8 PM. As stated, this is a restaurant and bar. So, when you walk in, the bar is straight ahead and the restaurant part is to the right. There are several booths and tables in the restaurant part. Tables can be pushed together to allow for a larger group to dine. Most of the booths seat 4 to 6 people. It is open seating, meaning you can choose your table. The atmosphere here is very much a hometown bar vibe. There are TVs, pool tables, dart boards, and lots of life coming from the patrons and regulars. There are a few bubble gum/candy machines in the lobby. In the breezeway, there is even a cigarette vending machine. After choosing our booth, we placed our order. Being that we come here rather frequently, we ordered some favorites at this visit. To start, we chose a Combo Platter for an appetizer. This is a platter with 4 different appetizers from a specific list. We got the Zucchini, Pickles, Onion Rings, and Hot Cheese Balls. The Zucchini here is thicker, and all of the fried items have a thicker batter/breading. We liked all the items, and thought the size of the platter was very good for the price! It was enough to share with a few people. In addition to my wings, I also ordered a salad. I had the plan of eating some, and then taking the rest home for a lunch the next day. The salads here are a hidden gem, in my opinion. My personal favorite is the Chef Salad, which is what I ordered this night. It is piled HIGH with turkey, ham, pepperoni, and cheese, along with lettuce and other veggies of course. It is delicious and very satisfying since there is so much meat and protein! I would highly recommend this item for anyone coming here. Our wings came out last, about 35 minutes after we sat down. They fry all of the wings to order, so they will take longer than one might expect. However, because of this they always come to the table hot and fresh. There are several different sauce options to choose from. On this trip, I got the Loose Moose Sweet, which is similar to a Sweet Thai Chili-type sauce. My fiancé ordered Garlic Parmesan with Mild Sauce on the side. I am never disappointed with the wings, and this day was no exception. The value at The Loose Moose is hard to beat. Along with the daily specials, their regular menu is very reasonably priced. Especially considering how much food is served for the prices. The salad I always order is less than $7, and is enough to split into two meals for me. All of the appetizers are under $8, with most being under $6. It is nice to be able to visit somewhere without spending a fortune for a good meal. Plus, there are Happy Hour drink specials during those times. Service here is friendly and good. The waitresses and staff are always kind, and do get to know their customers that frequent the place. My only complaint is more-so about the management regarding this. On busy nights, such as Wing Night, the place will be packed and there will be 2 servers for the entire dining room. You can go 15+ minutes without speaking to your server. This can get frustrating. However, the actual servers themselves are not the issue there. This would definitely be an area for improvement. We enjoy coming to The Loose Moose. My parents come here weekly, and I have been many times since they first introduced me. The specials and prices are hard to beat. It is close to me, and food is good, and the people and staff are friendly. It gives hometown bar vibes, which can be comforting and enjoyable for a lot of people. I would recommend giving this place a try, but be patient if you come during a busy time!
